It went fine.

Our furnace died. We called this company on Angie's list. We decided on the super deluxe one because it was the quietest & most efficient & saves on electricity.

Great job start to finish. Rock Smith (project manager) came to work up the bid, was knowledgeable and professional in all interactions, did the load analysis and quote at our home using a laptop and portable printer, then followed up quickly when I later asked questions as we finalized the plan. Scheduling was handled professionally and efficiently, and Larry and Brody did a great job on a long installation day. The next day another guy came to complete certification testing for the efficiency rebates, and then about ten days after installation Rock came back and went through an inspection and checklist to confirm that the installation had been done to their standards. Every one of the four visits PVA made to our home was on time (Rock was punctual to the minute). Coupled with the fact that PVA installed high quality Trane equipment at a price that was very competitive with other bids received, the choice to use PVA has proven to be a good one.

The two installers that came were very helpful and down to earth. They had an issue with on of the parts guys and had to run all the way back to their shop in Ft. Collins (I'm in Cheyenne WY) to get parts but one of them went and the other stayed and worked. They ended up being here for over 10hrs. Even at the end of that long of a day they didn't complain and were more than helpful with all of my questions. Grat service!

My family had been on vacation, when we returned to our home, the air conditioning had failed. It was HOT in the house. We returned on Saturday night therefore had to wait until Monday morning to attempt to find a repair person. We were experiencing a severe heat wave, several days of temperatures exceeding 100 degrees. I began calling repair services early Monday morning and was told by five companies that they could send someone out later in the week (maybe). I checked the temperature in our house at 5:00 AM and it was 96 degrees. We needed help!!! I logged onto ANGIE'S LIST and found Poudre Valley Air, I called them, the person that answered the phone was very sympathetic to my problem and informed me that they could send out a technician THE SAME AFTERNOON. I was thrilled!!! The technician (Tony) came to our residence prior to the time of the appointment, he was approximately fifteen-twenty minutes early for the appointment. He was very pleasant, went right to work. Our grandchildren were visiting ages 6,8 and 10 years. They were asking questions, Tony was patient and kind with them. He initially thought we would need the services of an electrician, upon further observation, he determined he could make the entire repair/s. He repaired the air conditioning unit. He was prompt, pleasant and very professional. And our home was pleasantly cooled off.

Everything turned out wonderful. They're professional, responsive and punctual. Their prices are excellent.

Poudre Valley Air's salesman 'Andy' came out to provide an estimate. We talked in depth about options and prices. He did not try to oversell and advised what was practical, efficient and cost effective for my home. Two days later I set a date to have PVA install a new A/C (first time) and furnace, as well as have my duct work sealed. The crew of two arrived on time and worked all day until it was done. They made a point to introduce me to the electrician that was brought in to establish power for the A/C. I received excellent training on my new thermostat and couldn't be more pleased with the unit. Everyone from PVA that I worked with for this project was kind, courteous and professional and I would recommend them to anyone. They have quality product (my unit is a Trane) and stand behind their work. While their price is not the cheapest, it is competitive and they offer a few payment options. All in all I had an excellent experience!

They are very professional, have a good price, and we are always been happy with them.

We chose the Trane brand. They are very fussy about who represents them & how exact they do the work. The workers put down floor covers from the front door all the way to the basement. They cleaned up so well we didn't have to clean anywhere. They were educating us through the whole process. They call back to see if you have any questions. Even send a thank you note with a tin of cookies!

They have always been good. We've had them do different things on our system before, so we know them well.

I have a contract with them to check my heating and air-conditioning units every year. I used to work for the company, so I know about the quality of their work. They are very good. Their price is in line with that of everybody else.

I would not recommend Poudre Valley Air.

Poudre Valley Air has been my go to guys for years. They communicate well, and I think they are prompt. The pricing seems a bit high at times, but the quality of their work is consistently good. I’ll continue to use their service going forward.

Our air conditioner went out during 95+ degree weather. On Monday, we had Poudre Valley Air come out (the company who had put in the system originally.) They identified that a fuse in the disconnect had gone out and that the capacitor and connector in the unit itself had gone out. When I called them on Tuesday morning, they indicated that they would have to order the parts from Lennox and that it would be Friday at the soonest and possibly Monday. (Remember at this point it was 95 degree weather.) Additionally, they wanted ~$700 to perform this work. Neither of these are acceptable or professional. Since my family would have trouble sleeping for 1 week with the air conditioning out, I found another company that was able to come out and get everything working the same day. (Tri City Air.) I had stayed up late the night before as I know what the work should approximately cost and I felt I was being gouged/ripped-off which upset me. I was right, Tri City Air did all the work that PVA wanted $700 to perform for $268 plus they added 1 lb of coolant in addition. It took them about 1 hour. This means that (being generous with part costs) that PVA wanted ~$550 for 1 hour of work. Unfortunately, this is the second time I have had problems like this with PVA. We had them bid on a steam humidifier installation and their original bid was quite high. That time I did negotiate them down to a still high, but more reasonable price. I think I felt somewhat locked in to them since the builder had used them for the original HVAC work and their stickers were on everything. As an additional annoyance, PVA pushes h****** their service plans and CO detectors (their technicians are required to do this for at least the service plan.) We had gone with one previously with them, but they weren't proactive about following up on the appointments and the work, when done, wasn't good value for money. This last experience was the straw that broke the camels back. The work is good and the technicians are knowledgeable, but you can get better value for your money elsewhere. My rough calculations show that they don't charge by actual time, but by "fixed schedule" time at around $200 per hour. When the work take less time than that, you can easily find yourself paying $500 per hour.

The job went fine. They were the best reasonably priced company that I got a quote from. They did a good job.

John, the technician, arrived exactly on time and willingly moved light furniture to get at the ducts, and put everything back where he found it. John was cheerful, professional, and efficient.He explained that he didn't do the basement ducts because it's not very effective. The cleaning process sounds like a vacuum powered by a jet engine if you're in the house while it's being done, so if you're sensitive to that sort of things, wear ear plugs.

We called PVA's number and got a technician out within 3 hours (other services we've used in the past can't even return calls in that short a time, especially on a Sunday). John, the technician, replaced the small but expensive ignitor and did a general furnace check. He recommended we get a new humidifier filter from the nearest home center, get the ducts cleaned, and sign up for annual maintenance, but it wasn't a hard sell. He was done within 45 minutes. John was cheerful, professional, and efficient. We did schedule the duct cleaning with them, and were happy with the work.

We like them a lot and we use the constantly. They are honest and they have integrity. They do excellent work and they are very professional.
