It went bad. We never go to the point. Their tone was indicative of them not want to work with me regardless of me telling them I was willing to pay. I have insurance on my home and although they are not in the provider network, their reviews led me to believe they would assist. All I needed additionally was to get an approval after their inspection to get an authorization number. Either way, the work needed to be done. I called Independent Plumbing Solutions 9/6/2016 around 10:25AM and spoke with a lady receptionist and asked if they were willing to work with my home warranty company, 2-10 Home Warranty. She put me on hold and when she came back said no. I explained I want an inspection so I can get an authorization and can get an approval for the repairs. She abruptly asked, what exactly is your question, what do you want... I explained, I did not want to go through my issues then ask toward the end about their willingness to work with my insurance, I said I wanted to verify if you were willing to work with an insurance company which is what my insurance company instructed. I need plumbing repairs that I know they can provide yet wanted to make sure you are willing to assist me with the insurance company so they can be in the loop. I need the service performed either way. She put me on hold again and came back and said she only work with home owners, which I said I am the homeowner, she said I'll have to pay, which I said yes, that is not an issue. Since she never answered my question... I asked do you work with insurance companies? She replied no. I said thank you and ended the call. The reviews are not accurate...this is the first company I called based on its reviews on Angie's List, and I am very disappointed. Their customer service is not good nor is their willingness to assist.

I would hire this company, and specifically Steve again, I felt very comfortable with everything that he did here. He answered a lot of questions I had about other areas of issue in my old home. Thanks!

The work went very well. The plumber, Steve Morgan of Independent Plumbing Solutions, Inc.. in Fort Collins, Colorado showed up on time and explained what he would need to do to gain access to the leaking drain. He would have to cut a hole in the ceiling large enough to gain access to the faulty connection (about one square foot). He laid down a tarp to catch sawdust and used a vacuum after he was finished to ensure he had picked up any other dust. The hardest part of the task was retightening the large nut on the connection with such tight access. It took quite a bit of maneuvering and effort; but, now the connection is tight and the drain is no longer leaking. The second task was to remove and replace a faulty washer on a garden hose bib that was causing the faucet to leak whenever the water was turned on. Steve knew exactly what the problem was, had the part, and installed it in minutes. Total time for both tasks was 90 minutes. Both leaks are fixed! Every couple years I need a plumber. I've used Steve Morgan twice before and will continue to use him in the future. I know he will get the job done correctly and efficiently. He's a pro. Great value for the money. IPS, Inc. Chissum was very personable, professional and knowledgeable. Even though he said Independent Plumbing does not work on mobile, he did a complete inspection. There was nothing for him to fix or replace but he did spend a lot of time answering my questions. Because he had worked on mobile homes before, he shared information about specific things peculiar to them. That alone was worth the cost of the inspection. I was very impressed. I would use them for plumbing work, if I didn't live in a mobile home.

Purchased an Angie's List deal to replace our garbage disposal. While plumber was here, he recommended that we also replace the drain in the other side of the sink. The plumber was friendly, punctual and knowledgeable.

Steve Morgan, from Independent Plumbing Solutions was at my house in less than 2 hours after I had called late on a Friday morning. The kitchen sink had backed up multiple times over the past 4 years, since we moved in. Most of the time when the sink had clogged, I had been able to use a plunger to open it up. After plunging for about 30 minutes, I realized I was going to need a plumber to get it done. When we had replaced the kitchen counter and sink about 3 years ago, I had a different plumber do the work for the new sink, faucet, and garbage disposal. While his work seemed to be fine, the first time the drain backed up, all the drain water flooded the lower cabinets instead of backing up into the sink. For that reason, I didn't call him back when it clogged. Then when it clogged another time about 9 months ago and I was unable to clear it using a plunger,I had a different plumber do the work and asked him to make sure the drain water would back up in the sink, rather than my kitchen cabinets. He unclogged it using an auger, redid some of the under cabinet plumbing to make sure it wouldn't overflow into the lower cabinets and said we should be good for a long time. So when it backed up again 9 months later, I turned to Angie's list to find a good local plumber who would get to the root of the issue. My wife was at home when Steve arrived about 1 p.m. and he promptly began trying to resolve the clog. I returned home about 45 minutes later and Steve was using an auger to try to clear the clog. His auger was too short to get to the clog so he began investigating the drainage system. He went to the lower level and found a sagging horizontal drain pipe. The waste solids were collecting at this low point and he showed me where the support brackets were no longer holding the pipe in the proper position to permit the waste material to drain properly. For a long term fix, Steve suggested cutting out a length of the ABS drain pipe and replacing it with more rigid PVC pipe. After giving my consent, Steve cut out the existing ABS drain pipe where he believed the waste solids had collected. Sure enough, there was a large quantity of waste material in the pipe. He replaced this portion of the ABS pipe with PVC pipe and did his best to make sure the pipe would have as much decline as possible to permit the solid waste material to flow through the horizontal portion and get to the vertical portion of the drain pipe. It certainly appears to be a good solution to resolve the root issue. Steve was conscientious about getting to the root issue and careful as did his work, trying to catch as much of the waste material as possible. I feel like Steve took the necessary time to understand the issue and used his expertise to find a good solution. I also consulted with Steve about a few other minor plumbing issues and he took the time to evaluate them, explain what was going on and how I could best resolve them. I felt like he applied common sense and tried to find good economical solutions. Steve ended up spending his entire Friday afternoon working on my plumbing issues, even though I had paid for just one hour of his time. Steve told me it was more important to him that customers had a good experience on their first visit, rather than worry about billing for his actual time. I will most definitely contact Independent Plumbing Solutions the next time I need a plumber.

After evaluating leak in hot water heater, explanation of what the problem was and possible solutions were provided. After discussion, decision was made and repairs were completed. It was great to be shown the problem and to have choices given regarding repair.

The plumber took the time to show me how to change out the valve in the future. He was extremely helpful.

Steve is very knowledgeable and professional and knows his job well. He has done several jobs for me in the past and is always on time, friendly and very efficient I will definitely call independent Plumbing every time I need a plumber. ***He was A little outside of the window of the time that he was going to be here, but his office did call A little before the window even opened, to let me know that it probably be on or after my two hour window closed. So at least they let me know ahead of time .

They were able to get the garbage disposal fixed and it didnt take long at all. I have been using this company for about two years for various projects and they are great. They are prompt and ethical. Great quotes accurate prices and if they cant do the work they will give great references to go some place else.
