Very unhappy with the price gouging. Don't use them. Find someone else who has reasonable charges.

I hired Horizon through another company. The sales representative Carolyn Cobos came to my house and looked around. She talked to me very extensively about my needs and expectations. I found the contract and she called me on multiple occasions to make sure I understood my purchase. They called me the day before to tell me that Trane didn't have the unit in Colorado so they did a complimentary upgrade to a different Trane unit. The day before the company comes out they send an email with a picture of the person who is doing the work, a video of that person talking, and a picture of the truck which seemed above and beyond to me. On the day of installation, Keith who did the work, met with me prior to beginning the work. We talked about things and he wasn't able to put the AC where we planned on putting it. So we walked around my yard and found a good place for the air conditioner and it was actually where a tree was. He pulled the tree up and replanted the tree for me in a new spot. Once Keith finished the installation he spent 35-40 minutes to explain it to me. Then Carolyn came back the next day to give me the paper work and do a follow up.

They did a good job for us. They were very thorough and very clean. They explained everything and were very professional.

To start off the installation work was excellent, the crew, which consisted of Jonathan and Keith did a few things that were beyond my expectations, such as cutting a piece of sheet metal to match the external siding for a perfect exterior fit for the new venting, adding the power line in a manner that did not look haphazzard and creatively plumbing the humidifier drain so that everything looked clean. The entire installation has a definate craftsman feel, that i felt strongly about trying to achieve with my project, i did not get that same feeling from my other estimates. The sales person was willing to work around my multi-phased approach to future projects. Even the initial phone call for a quote left a very positive impression. Bottom line - Horizon demonstrated that buying a new furnace can be a very positive experence, and i have given them permission to use me as a reference in the future.

The company was responsive; they answered the phone right away; no voice mail black hole, and scheduled to have the technician out that very morning. The technician, Jonathan Miller, called prior to arriving, he arrived right on time, put protective covers on his shoes, was courteous and professional. He did a clean and check, and proceeded to switch out the old filter system for the new high efficiency electronic air cleaner. He completed the job in approx. 2 1/2 hours, and took the time to show me how to open and close the system to get the prefilter in and out, and explained the collection cells and the entire system to me. The furnace area was left clean, no smudges or trash left behind. He had great customer service. This company seems to have pride in its work and product. I would hire this firm again, definitely. The system works great. No more changing filters every 6 months. We are happy with it.

There is a part that I needed to repair the steamer. I was quoted a a number and wanted to do my own research. I found out the part was only $64. They wanted to charge $577.36.

My air conditioner has never really worked right since we moved in. I have had a couple of different companies take a look at it last year and the year before. The first person told me that the compressor was "weak" and needed to be replaced and that the system was low on freon. I couldn't afford a new compressor at the time so we just bought some freon and made it through the year although there was really no improvement. Last year we had another company come out and they just wanted to sell us a new system even though it is only 9 years old! They said that there was really nothing they could do because the house didn't have the right size duct size. Oh yeah. They also said the unit was low on freon again and were happy to charge us for that. My neighbor uses Horizon Mechanical and I saw their truck outside last week when it was 90 degrees and our AC was as dissappointing as usual. I caught the service person outside and asked if they could check out my AC. He said he would check with the office and see if they could fit me in. Fifteen minutes later, the tech let me know that the office had adjusted the schedule and he would be able to check my AC. Within about one hour, the tech showed me a disgusting buildup of dirt on the part of the air conditioner that is located above the furnace. He also showed me that the system was leaking freon from a welded section of the system. This technician worked well after dark to get my system up and running and up and running it is! Our AC has never worked this well since we moved in. The technician was very clean, polite, and professional. We could not be happier with Horizon Mechanical.

Horizon inspected our air conditioner, which was not working. They were able to diagnose the problem but we didn't have them repair it since it was a part that was still under warranty from somewhere else, as we had just had it replaced within the past year. However, Horizon was so helpful with their complimentary plumbing system inspection- they discovered (& fixed!) a leak we didn't even know we had. We will definitely use them again.

Several years ago Horizon Mechanical installed a new furnace and air conditioner in our home. Since that time we've enjoyed a comfortable and efficiently heated and air conditioned home. We've rarely needed repairs. Knowing our furnace needed servicing I didn't hesitate to call Horizon Mechanical. Even though it was a Sunday, we paid no extra charge for our service call. Their normal working hours are 7 days a week. Our tech arrived in a timely manner and was efficient, competent and very thorough in his work. He also checked all our HVAC equipment as well as all our plumbing. This customer service is routinely done by Horizon as a courtesy to customers. I was very appreciative of this service as the tech discovered that the water pressure coming into our house was twice the amount it should be. This could present many problems to our house. He informed us of the problem, what the cost would be to repair and let us decide if and when we wanted to make that repair. We decided to postpone the work until summer but we will have Horizon return at that time to make those repairs. We also decided to sign up for the yearly clean and check program for our furnace and air conditioner offered by Horizon Mechanical. Had we taken advantage of that offer previously, the problem we had on that particular Sunday would not have happened. It would have been taken care of with the yearly check. We feel the program will pay for itself as it also gives you several other discounts and benefits for future needs. We also feel it will lengthen the life of our furnace and air conditioner. We are very pleased with the quality of work that's always been done by for us by Horizon. They are very professional and you can always count on them for exceptional service at a reasonable price. I guess everything costs more than it should nowadays. After they were all done, they showed me how to use everything. They even showed me how to take the filter out, clean it and put it back in. I would use them in the future.

I worked with Mike McCartney to determine the right size of both the furnace and the air conditioner. He was very knowledgeable and informative. I thought the price for the equipment was reasonable competitive. The installers arrived on time and completed within the allotted time. The only complaint I had about the entire experience was that the installers did not put some furniture back where it was originally.

Although we were happy with the mechanical, the plumbing was a ridiculous mess. The plumber often showed up late and did not put in a full day (despite the fact that we were without plumbing). The manager (Brad) was arrogant and incompetent. He had to come in and have his guys re-route things a number of times. He thought it was acceptable to have pipes above ground (never mind the fact that the concrete was already cut). He failed inspections THREE times. The inspector even once asked us if the plumber was even licensed. The welds were incorrect and not to Denver code. Brad thought that since it was to suburbs code (and not Denver) that was good enough. We argued forever about the cost of redoing that work. Completely incompetent. I will never use again.

When they came out they were very hard working and responsible. They did a fantastic job and I would recommend them to anyone. They have reasonable prices and a knowledgeable staff. I was pleased overall.

Glenn, the salesperson was very responsive. He returned calls promptly and walked me through the entire purchase and installation process. The installers were prompt and professional and were careful in my home. Everything was done to spec and on time. I've already recommended Horizon to my neighbors.
