Overall a decent, but not great, experience. The technician arrived on time and filled up the freon for my AC unit, which allowed it to work more efficiently. However, the appointment lasted an hour and totaled $425. $175 for the freon and $250 for the labor. Considering the company advertises a $49 diagnostic fee, but actually charges $140 for the first half hour of work, I would consider these shady business practices and won't be using them again.

Project went very well. Clean and professional the work was completed on time. Drywall cutting left little to no dust. After our kitchen remodel we lost a wall stack leading to the back upstairs bedrooms so no AC/heat back there. Sanders & Johnson installed the booster fan and fixed it. Very happy and I feel like I have found a good HVAC company to work with going forward. Thanks!

Installation was good, however, the control for the humidifier was a lower grade than expected. The biggest problem was that the installer mistakenly opened the sprinkler shut-off valve, never closed it and the outside valve froze over requiring sprinkler repair. Unsure if the sprinkler lines are also damaged - will find out in the spring. When I called the company to let them know of the problem, I was told the owner would call me to discuss - never heard back.

Team arrived on time. Were very professional and clean. I liked that there were women on the crew. The job took one day, as scheduled. They were communicative and I'm very happy with the service. The crew were mindful of our cats.

Heating at one of my rental properties wasn;t working. I called them and initially I was told that the earliest would be tomorrow. But I after sometime I got a call back that they had someone cancelled and they can come in an hour. they came and after spending about 45 min fixed the issue.

Everything went well, they were on time, worked quickly and we have had no problems with the furnace since then.

Sanders & Johnson provided a team that installed and hauled away everything in one day, including the new electrical sub-panel. The pulled the permits and the inspection passed on the first try. I have already recommend them to others.

They are a local outfit. I've used them for the last 10 to 15 years. They are good. They are a small firm. They only have 4-5 employees. They were here within hours of our problem. They showed up when they said they were going.

I called into Sander & Johnson's main number after reviewing Angie's list and they assured me that I would receive a call back within 20 minutes. Jessie called after 15 minutes, was at my house in 45 minutes, and had identified and fixed the issue (bad capacitor) within an hour and 45 minutes from my initial call. The A/C is working great and he even gave me a few tips on how to prevent the compressor from failing early in it's life span. Overall job was $298 on the weekend. Not sure if that is expensive for this work, but the rapid response, high level of professionalism, and general experience were worth it to me.

Scheduling was great and there was a spot for same day. They called shortly after and said someone could be out right away. Josh was the service tech. Very friendly guy. I explained what was going on and we went to look at the AC unit. I explained that I had changed the capacitors and fan motor but the unit was still shutting off. Josh listened and seemed genuinely determined to help. After verifying it was hooked up correctly he noticed that 1 wire had been installed incorrectly when the unit was put in. He moved the wire to where it should be and restarted the unit. He made sure it was blowing cold air and that the unit kept running. I previously had another company out who wanted to charge $400-$600 to fix and Josh figured out the issue for the cost of a service trip. The AC unit has been running fine ever since.

I was so impressed with the service. The tech arrived right on time and I was called 20 minutes before to let me know that he was on his way. Once here, he was very professional, told me exactly what he was doing and what the issue was. He fixed it within 45 minutes and I told me what I could do to prevent it in the future. The overall price was very reasonable. I would absolutely hire these guys again and will tell all my friends.

They were extremely responsive, and very helpful! Even though it was an odd set-up that people previously said "couldn't be fixed", Sanders and Johnson immediately said they could get creative and it would be no problem. They knew we were on a budget so they were up front with price, and allowed us to wait until we could afford the fix. The 10% off angie's list coupon basically paid for the cost of them coming to look at it in the first place, which was nice.

Called another A Rated Company (Busy Bee) and unfortunately my experience was not great. Mainly due to miscommunication and poor punctuality. I called and spoke with Dawny at Sanders and Johnson and he was able to come out and check out the issue within reasonable time on short notice. He brought a crew later that afternoon to finish the job for us. Josh and Angel were prompt, efficient, and did not rip my leg off with price either. I must say these guys told me what I needed to know, what they could and could not promise, and what potentially could happen. I would call them back in a heart beat if I ever need another HVAC company out here again. Thanks Guys! Really appreciate the work you did on such an unexpected issue. For those who are wondering it was a line coming in the house. Right where it comes in there is a 90 degree joint that instantly turns up, and then another joint at 90 degrees that goes left right away. The pictures below show the only opening in my finished basement and the work area done. Not bad, considering it could have been several areas.

Servicemen arrived on time and did a professional job including some very tight spaces.

The technician was extremely professional and explained every step of the way as he troubleshooted the problem and fixed it.

Arrived within the appointment window on a cold day and performed a simple cleaning-based fix for the problem when a previous repair person recommended a new unit. Charged their minimum fee.

The S&J owner reviewed the situation with me. He told me that even if the heating unit was the problem (although he doubted it for a 9-year old furnace), the furnace could be repaired and the heating unit had a 20-year warranty, which he had his staff verify. He gave me a much better price on a replacement with an Angie's List discount and indicated the current rebate from our power company -- thus, the price was about 1/2 the previous quote. He wanted his technician to check the furnace to determine what was wrong and calculate the repair cost. Today, the technician checked the furnace. After the furnace did not initially ignite, he made one simple adjustment and it worked perfectly. He said there was no problem with the heating unit, the flame was perfect and no further repairs were needed. I am very impressed with S&J. I immediately removed the sticker from the other company and placed the S&J sticker on my furnace, and will use S&J for all future heating and cooling needs.

Excellent service. Dan Johnson came out, evaluated my needs, and provided a spot-on estimate for the job. He answered all my questions and offered guidance when I requested it. The installation team couldn't be nicer and did a great job. I would highly recommend Sanders and Johnson and will use them in the future.

Upon arrival I told the tech 'Josh' that I thought the motor was making a odd sound and that I feared it might break. That was the initial reason i called you guys to come out in the first place - to look at the motor, and to do a annual checkup as well. I just bought the house and was being proactive. everything was not ok as the motor failed a week later -as I feared it would. The motor was making the same odd sound a the time of your visit, and the tech Josh even acknowledged that it was making was an odd sound after 3 min of running the unit. At that juncture I fully expected a professional business to inspect the motor even further and or offer to replace the motor for me at a fair rate. But the tech said everything was in operating order on his final write up and assured me things were ok..he said and quot; well, anything can break at any timeand quot;... Yeah, sure things were running at that time - but not at 100% as the motor sound was still evident to both the tech and myself as he left the site. So I've been sitting in +90 degree heat for the last 3 days because of this situation. I already have a motor on order and I am getting it replaced tomorrow with another more reputable business. I feel like I paid $99 just for a filter to be replaced and to have a tech take a few readings and give me an incorrect assessment of needed repairs. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. Unprofessional and quot;needed repairand quot; analysis in my opinion. Don't even bother typing a response as: 1. I know will never get my money back 2. I will never use you guys againThumbs down all the way.

I called another company first. They informed me I would need to replace a valve for $800. I called Sanders and Johnson for a second opinion, Don was very patient while explaining the operation and pressures required. He did not discount the need for a new valve but said it was not necessary until the AC starts icing up.

The technician was on time, reinforced my diagnosis of the proble (a bad blower fan motor), had the replacement motor on his truck. He was very professional and personable. All in all the work took just under an hour. I'd definitely call Johnson and Sanders, Inc for HVAC issues in the future. Unlike previous companies I've had look at my furnace/AC, the technician did not try to sell me a whole new system nor try to tell me other stuff was wrong with my system. A great experience.
