the total bill for 10 hours of labor is ridiculous. Felt cheated and lead to believe it is an very expensive job and unprofessional. Hope others who do read this review take their time to find a better company to do business with.

Billy was the one who came out. He was very professional, very efficient, called before he showed up and charged me a fair price.

It went perfect and the outcome was perfect! The worker, Billy, was exceptional and I would recommend Rooter Town to all my friends.

Called to get drain cleared from kitchen. They had a problem with the rooter clearing a big clog and used the camera to see what was happening and fix the problem. Extremely friendly and professional. Fixed everything and didn't charge extra. Will use for every plumbing job I have for now on!

It went really well. They called ahead of time and arrived on time. Ben, the technician, was very nice.

I called Rooter Town for a sewer line check and also to snake a basement shower that was not draining. Ben, the technician arrived about 1-1/2 hours after my call. He was professional, called ahead to let me know he was on the way. We discussed several smaller issues I had going on and addressed all my concerns. Snaked my shower line and had a sewer scope set up for the next day. I have used this company several times and have the same great service each time.

My experience with Rooter Town was excellent. They were within their time frame, respectfully of my home and did the job in a timely manner. The tech was able to explain everything and made sure I knew exactly what was going to happen! Would recommend Rooter Town to anyone with plumbing needs!

Rooted the main line and pulled out a bunch of tree roots to clear it up. That part went OK, what I don't appreciate is the hard sell on a camera inspection and not taking no for an answer. I know my main line needs replacing, I've been rooting it yearly for 8 years and tree roots have always been the culprit. I'm not ready to replace it right this minute though. How about I call you when I'm ready and then you can scope it and give me an estimate. I really don't need the high pressure selling of it.

It's very hard to pay someone that much money I was very hesitant about getting the job done and who you should have to do it.they kept reassuring us on what they were doing and what they had to do. They follow through with everything they said and got the job done.

The technician shows up at my house and lets himself in as soon as I open the door without any invitation or introduction. I had to ask him who he was before he finally gives me his name, then immediately grabs my left hand, rubs my ring finger with his thumb and asks "No wedding ring? Not married?" WTH?!?!?!? I pulls my hand away and tell him where the valve was. At the end of the job (for which he charged me way more than originally agreed with his supervisor), he tells me "You know, all this would be free if you were dating a plumber". Are you kidding me?? On top of that, he left the sink and shower faucets running in the basement's guest bathroom, which I never checked because I didn't know he had drained them, so I had no hot water when I tried to take a shower the next morning. Meanwhile, I can't wait to see what my water bill is going to be this month after having had water running for 18 hrs. I called his supervisor who offered to refund me half of the job's cost conditional on signing a waiver stating I would not sue them. What a bunch of sleazebags. Stay away, there are numerous much better options out there.

A Rooter town employee came to our residence and provided my wife with an estimate to get a hose bib installed in our front porch. She agreed to the estimate even though it seemed expensive. The estimate from Rooter town was actually lower than one we received from a different plumber. A week or so later a Rooter town employee came to our home to perform the install and told my wife the job would cost an additional $40 dollars than the 1st estimate the week before. My wife reluctantly agreed to proceed with the install. I was at work when the installation occurred. When I got home I called Rooter town to find out why we were charged the extra $40 dollars. The person I spoke with agreed to refund us the $40 after I described what happened. A week or so later I still haven't received the $40 so I called Rooter town again. The person I spoke with said someone would return my call. I never received another call from Rooter town, and as I write this review, I still have not received the $40 they agreed to refund us. Rooter town plumbing didn't follow through with refunding the $40 as they promised. I have no idea why they wanted to charge an extra $40 dollars. This should have been a really simple install for any plumber. The work area where the installation took place was very open. There was easy access to the water line and the base of the porch. The plumbing work performed was simple and straight forward as well. There was nothing indicating any special work need to be performed on the bill invoice. There is no question that this was a unremarkable install. Plus, when I got home from work the same day after the install I noticed the Rooter town worker did not clean up after himself. There was a mess on the floor in the area the work was performed. And, there was insulation that was not replaced near the area of the hose bib. This is sloppy work. This is unprofessional work.

A home inspection on Saturday, 3/1/2014 (in conjunction with the sale of our home) uncovered a partial obstruction in our sewer line, documented by video recording. The buyers requested that the obstruction be cleared. Ruben with Rooter Town came to our home on 3/3/14 and jetted the line followed by camera inspection. It was not until after services were performed that he informed us that he was unable to make a video recording of the camera inspection, the standard of service in the industry. Ruben wrote on our invoice that our lines were “free of obstruction”. We naively believed that we had paid $600 to have a service performed, and we took his word for it. We did not know that we had been lied to. The next day we learned that the written invoice documenting “sewer lines free of obstruction” would not be acceptable to the homebuyers. We called the Rooter Town office to discuss the camera inspection and ask again about the video recording. She was surprised to be told that they could to the video recording, but that they would have to again charge us $150 dollars. Another company was recommended by our realtor who could do the camera inspection and video recording at substantially lower cost, so we chose to wait an additional day for them to come. Discount Rooter brought a camera to our home on 3/5/14 to produce video documentation of sewer lines “free of obstruction”. We did not expect them to uncover the same obstruction that had been “cleared” by Ruben two days before. When we contacted Rooter Town about these findings, they insisted that the second company was wrong, or that the obstruction had “recurred,” a possibility that the second company says was impossible based on the equipment that they used. The manager at Rooter Town used unprofessional and misogynistic language on the phone with my wife, and never made any effort to address the inconsistent findings on the camera inspections by Rooter Town and Discount Rooter, short of us paying them to perform the same service they had already been paid to perform. In attempting to resolve the issue to the satisfaction of the homebuyers, we chose to have Discount Rooter return with other equipment two days later to jet the line (at our cost), but they said that since we had already paid the camera fee they would not charge again for the same service, and would again provide video recording documentation. Eventually they showed that at the site of the “cleared obstruction,” the pipe was collapsed to ½ the original diameter, and could never be cleared with jetting or any other means short of digging up and replacing the pipe. Ruben and the business manager were unhelpful and unprofessional despite multiple attempts to discuss the situation with them between 3/3/14 and 3/7/14. We have filed complaints with Angie’s list and with the Better Business Bureau. We believe that their lies to us in person (about video recording), and on the invoice (about the line being clear) are truly appalling. We do not feel that they deserve any payment from us, when the services they “performed” had to be repeated by another company at our cost on account of these two lies. Additionally, the delays resulting from the lies, and the incorrectly diagnosed pipe condition contributed to the loss of the contract for our home.

The plumbing under the sink was admittedly non-standard but it was functional and legal. The problem was a clog in the drain. The Rooter Town plumber insisted that the could not even begin to work on the clog until he re-plumbed the under sink drain. We are not talking about getting into the pipes in the dry wall or anything complicated. Just re-plumbing two sinks and a dishwasher with under the sink plumbing to get the water to the drainpipe. When asked how long the job would take, the Rooter Town plumber said "about an hour" and presented a written quote for $575 for this work. Given that the ABS plastic parts required for the job cost less than $10 this seems like a very high hourly labor rate. On top of it all, none of this effort was going to solve the actual problem which is a clogged drain! The actual work to unclog the drain would be at additional cost! Cut to the chance, we invited another plumber into our home and he quickly developed two approaches to getting the drain unclogged ranging from $100-$150. A short 30 minutes later the drain was clear and everything cleaned up and I was writing a check for $100 for the full cost of the job. I am sure glad we showed the Rooter Town the door and found another plumber.
