Our furnace was not working at all during the last cold snap. After checking the reviews on Angie's List, and calling several of the A graded providers, we settled on Paradise. After calling and leaving a message, we received a prompt callback (within the hour). John was uncertain whether he could get to us that same day. When we heard no more that day, we called again in the morning and got an appointment window for early afternoon. The serviceman appeared promptly and was very courteous and professional. The charge included the service call and an additional 1/2 hr of labor and $15 part for the replacement of the thermocouple. Have been toasty warm since. Very happy with the service. Incidentally, the company does not have a big phone ad--just a tiny generic phone listing in the Yellow Pages. We are told that most of their business is generated by "word of mouth advertising". Glad we didn't skip over them in favour of someone with a big ad.

This is the second time I've hired Paradise Heating & Cooling - first time was earlier this year for A/C check up. Once again, Ryan came out and did an excellent job cleaning and inspecting the furnace. He spent over an hour doing the work, noticed that the whole-home humidifier filter was bad and cut too small & gave me the info I needed to purchase a replacement. He also checked the hot water heater (not expected), and found a small gas leak which just required some tightening of the pipe, and gave me a heads up that there was a small amount of rust beginning to build up. He took meticulous notes about the condition of the furnace, model & S/N's and details of the work done for future reference. I highly recommend Paradise Heating & Cooling.

It took a couple of days for them to respone to our call to make appt. Appt. was made but there was a no show. They called to appoligize and we rescheduled. Owner did extra services to make for the confusion on the original appt. He tried to make it right.

It was satisfactory and I got what I paid for and expected.

Would definitely use this company again.

Found potentially hazardous situation

He was here well over an hour - and was great.

I bought 2 coupons for tune-up: one for the A/C, and one for the furnace. Each coupon cost $103. The company responded promptly and called to set up an appointment. Since I had an issue with my heating they set up the appointment for the furnace tune-up for the next day. The service person arrived right on time. He explained everything he was doing with regard to the furnace. He was able to fix the problem and charged only $40 to fix a part that indeed was broken. He seemed honest and I am glad he was not trying to talk me into major repair (new fan motor). Everything is working again. He has not done the A/C tune-up: for that we will have to wait until the weather warms up again. Overall I am very satisfied and I will use this company again.

They responded as soon as they got the order, showed up when they were suppose to. Everything went fine. They didn't change the filter in the furnace. They said it was clean. I got the service, but no filter. Companies in the past that have done this had provided a new one after the check.

Tech was on time and professional. Sealed vents, checked coils, did general inspection. Explained everything he did. Felt good about experience.

I purchased the Big Deal and since I had two burners, they gave me a discount on the second furnace cleaning. Several weeks later I had a problem turning the heating system on- which was unrelated to their prior service. They came out promptly, fixed the problem, and didn't charge me for the service call even though the problem was apparently unrelated to their earlier service. On both occasions the serviceman was courteous, professional and efficient. I will certainly use this company again if needed.

The evaporative cooler is very nice but our problems had to do with the installation and then the Xcel rebate. The installer brought his teenage son with him to work that day. We observed the boy jumping off our garage roof onto the driveway which was unsettling because we were not sure if he harmed himself who would be liable. Then the young man somehow became covered in white caulking from the project. He used our kitchen sink to try to wash off the caulking. He managed to get caulking all over the sink, the towels, the cabinets, the front door, everything he touched. The vent into the house also was badly caulked and had caulking running down the side of the house which we had just painted. We contacted the owner of the company John and he came and accessed the damage that was done. He assured us it would be taken care of but after a few weeks nothing was done and we had to clean the mess ourselves and make our own repairs to the cabinets and the paint. So we were very disappointed in the experience. Also the owner, John, assured us he would send in the paperwork for the Xcel rebate for the evaporative cooler. I recently checked with Xcel about the rebate check since it had been over 8 weeks. Xcel said that the rebate form had just recently been sent so we still have to wait for the rebate to be processed now. The evaporative cooler was installed, we are happy with the quality and the price of the cooler but disappointed in the experience we had with them. I would not give this company an "A" rating for the quality of their work.

I was impressed! I called after hours on Friday because A/C wasn't cooling. John returned my call that evening and we set appointment for Monday. The tech, Manuel, (sp?) arrived on time and quickly figured out the problem. A fried wire on the capacitor that had just been replaced 9 weeks previously by another company. In less than an hour he was done and the A/C was running again. I'm a beast in hot temperatures and relief from high 80s in the upstairs bedrooms was great. Paradise impressed me with their quick response to my initial call, their promptness in arriving, quick diagnosis and repair, and charging what I consider to be a very fair price. I can't emphasize fair price enough. Most of us have had experiences with plumbing and HVAC companies who have you over the barrel when something goes wrong with critical home systems (at really inconvenient times), and I believe some use that to their advantage to really lighten your wallet. My experience with Paradise was the complete opposite. My experience - highly recommend Paradise.

I had the furnace and air conditioner inspections done. I am very satisfied with the service and would highly recommend this company. The service tech, Manuel, was on time for the appointment and was very professional and thorough. He completed his inspections timely and offered helpful suggestions for improving the efficiency of my heating and air conditioning systems and completed. Good job!

They were very professional and courteous. They were very good. They were excellent in fact.

I sent an email over the weekend to set up a date/time for the service and received a call back very quickly (on Sunday, I believe). Ryan came out to do the work, spend a good amount of time checking things out, did a great job explaining everything that he did, and completed a detailed work order with additional notes to double check coolant levels in the fall (suspect a slow leak, as 3lbs of coolant had to be added). The before/after difference in the A/C performance was significant and I feel that I definitely got my money's worth compared to the 2-3 other companies I've had come out in the past. I will definitely hire them again.

Manuel the service technician, was very knowledgeable, and he checked out my furnace, clearly explained what was wrong, and told me that I needed "combustion air." Since I was preparing my home to sell, I brought in an inspector to verify what Manuel had told me, and everything Manuel said was correct. I had Paradise Heating and Cooling add the combusion air, and they performed the job quickly and correctly (this project required a permit and subsequent inspection by a Denver inspector). I then had them come back at the end of May to service the Air Conditioning. When the potential buyer hired his own inspector, the furnace and air conditioning passed without any problems. In addition to these tasks, Mauel was kind enough to re-light the pilot for my fireplace and cut off a piece of pipe from the water heater that my inspector had identified as a problem.

My son took this appointment and said that they were nice. Found the air conditioner was slightly out of level and that we could fix it overselves for free with just a shim. Otherwise did good work on checking everything out to make sure it would operate safely.

They got the A/C unit going for me. He did what we asked and answered my questions. Their price and quality of work were excellent. I have no complaints.

They are local. We purchased the same service from them last year and we liked what they did. They were able to schedule us within a week. The technician was great. He was very informative.
