The person from L & R service was great! He spent a lot of time in our house, fixed the shower handle without replacing it, even though he had to spend a lot of time looking for a part, and repaired the leading kitchen faucet in no time. I was very happy with the service.

It went very well and he is very knowledgeable.

I have had continual problems with my gas fireplace. We live in a very windy location and it rarely stayed on for more than an hour or two max before the wind blew it out. Then it had to cool down before it would work again. I had another company service it and ended up with a gas leak! When I called L&R I was prepared to replace it because no one had been able to service it successfully. After Leroy serviced it, fixed the gas leak, and installed the blower it feels like a new fireplace. It never goes out and warms the room better. I waited to post my review until I was able to use it for several months and verify that the wind was not going to continue to blow it out. I am VERY pleased with this service.

Left two messages on two different numbers (720 and 303) 4 days apart without reply. It has been a week since my first request for service. How difficult is it to return a call even if it's to say you are busy?

Everything went really well. LeRoy was very kind, conscientious and responsible. He returned my call and scheduled an appointment quickly. He cleaned the gas fireplace, made sure everything was in working order, and cleaned up after himself. He even took a quick look at my tub drain and gave me advice. I was very pleased with his work ethic and would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Went out of his way to paint the pipe line to match existing parts. Used ladder to over the wall to avoid coming in and out of the house.

Mr. Martinez looked at the leaking toilet, found a replacement valve in his truck, turned off the water and replaced the defective one. It works fine. I also asked him to look at an outside faucet that leaked around the stem whenever we used the hose. He quickly took off the faucet handle and the stem, put in new washers and now it works fine also. He was gone in 45 minutesafter a job well done. I am glad to have found a plumber I can call with confidence the next time I have a problem.

Recently purchased our home and it did not appear that fireplaces had been serviced since the time of installation (14 years for one and approx 5 years for the other). L&R Services was our first venture into Angie's List. Mr Martinez responded immendiately to my phone message and was at our home in two days at the time window that he had indicated despite a snow storm. He quickly set out to service the first unit, rolled out his tools and drop cloth to cover the area. He showed me how to properly operate the units and answered all questions I had had. Mr Martinez did the same with the second unit. Great professional, great attitude, great experience.

I first called Leroy Martinez to remove my gas logs and advise me on buying a gas insert and remodeling my old wood fireplace. He is wonderful to talk to--so kind, polite, and patient. When you're dealing with gas lines, you want someone you can trust. I trust Leroy Martinez completely. He's a master plumber and a real gentleman. The install went smoothly and I will continue to use Leroy for annual maintenance. He's a hard worker and a great guy. Thanks for Angie's List, I found another contractor I can trust.

We hired L & R Services to service our fireplace. They did good work and their rates were reasonable. They were here when they said they would be and they were professional. I approve of the service they provided and I will use them again. I will recommend them to family and friends.

Leroy was prompt, efficient and quick. He ran a new gas line to my kitchen for a gas range in about two hours with minimal disruption.

Leroy Martinez is the owner and the master plumber. They were terrific. I spent $40 on the job. I thought I would have to spend a lot of money, but they identified the problem and fixed it at a standard rate. I would use them again in the future.

I contacted Leroy from L&R Services via Angie's List e-mail and followed up with a telephone call (got a voice message). He returned my call a couple of days later, said he was returning from out-of-state and catching up on his calls. After scheduling the service, Leroy quoted me a price and approximate time to complete the work (1 hr.). On the scheduled service date, he showed on time, serviced the fireplace, and cleaned up after himself. In fact, Leroy cleaned the glass/screen so well it looks new. He also showed me how to adjust the flame and restore the pilot light should it fail. Last, Leroy fixed a leaky showerhead by inserting an O-ring and (teflon) taping it. Having just moved into the house 6 days prior, I felt better having satisfactorily addressed a couple of the home inspectors write ups. Final thoughts: Leroy is a professional that takes his work seriously, is courteous, and charges a fair price for his efforts.

We had had Leroy install our gas lines before. He came highly recommended to us and he was the most competiive of the 3 bids I recieved. When installing anything he is very aware of his surrounding and not to get any debris on the floor. He offered us 2 options of stove pipe we went with the more expensive for some reason. The other would have knocked the price down several 100 dollars but we would have had to paint it. Leroy works hard knows what he is doing and gets the job done right. He is what you would expect of a United States Marine hardworking and honest.

L & R Services did an outstanding job!! I live in a development with over 200 homes and I put together a deal with L & R Services to offer a good price if I could get six to eight homes to join on this offer for fireplace cleaning and inspections, well, we had over 20 homes that took advantage on the deal and it was a great success!!! The service took over three days to complete and we had no complants from any home owner just - job well done. Every home owner had great things to say about Mr. Martinez and his work, work ethic, friendliness and answering home owners questions. Thanks again L & R Services, see you next year!!! Called Leroy on Tuesday, I think, and was able to get an appointment for Saturday. Leroy gave us a 2-hour range for his arrival time, and he came over pretty near the start of that range. He put down a dropcloth around the fireplace hearth for his tools, and removing the gas logs. He also brought a shop vac, and cleaned the whole area when he was done. I'm pretty sure that area is cleaner now than he found it! Leroy knew exactly what the problems were, and worked fast. At the end, he showed me what he did, and also taught me how to avoid the problem or fix it ourselves in the future. He was kind to discuss basic gas log fireplace maintenance with us, and discuss with me local retail outlets where we can get replacement embers when we need them, and how to clean soot off the gas logs themselves. Leroy mentioned that he is also a licensed plumber, and he was kind to give us a requested estimate on replacement of our water heater while he was here. His price for labor seems extremely reasonable to me, and we'll definitely contact him when it's time for that work, too. Last note on price: Leroy mentioned that he usually charges more for Saturday appointments, and he waived that additional charge for us since we mentioned that we're Angie's List members.

It was an excellent experience dealing with Leroy of L&R Services. He was very professional: on time, quality work, very friendly, knowledgeable, clean. He gave us an estimate over the phone at the same time that we made an appointment. He came when he said he would and his stated estimate was exactly what he charged. He explained everything as he performed the cleaning and servicing of our gas fireplace. We would recommend his services to anyone. We will definitely use his services again.

I was impressed with Leroy. You find out there are so many different sets of details when installing one of these fireplaces- gas pipe, venting, electrical connections, setting the fireplace correctly, etc. Leroy is clearly a PRO! He was on time, efficient and informative and I appreciated his methodical approach!

He went to the store and got a good quality part. He told us the price of parts and labor before he did the work. We agreed and he completed the work in a reasonable time, and with good quality. Have never had a problem.

They put in a fireplace lower. They did a fine job. They were professional.

The installation L & R Services Company did worked out pretty fine. I?ve had no problems with the fireplace so far. I would probably consider them in the future for similar work.

I called first thing in the morning to attempt to have the work done the same day. Once I got a hold of him I was told it would be the next day at the earliest, but he talked through the various options on the phone and described how to troubleshoot the issue myself. During our quick 15 minute call he correctly described how the mechanism generally works and how I might fix it myself. The quick tutorial was enough to get me through the whole project on my own, saving me hundreds and a lot of extra wall fixing if the whole fixture needed to be replaced. He was extremely helpful and clearly knowledgeable so I'll be sure to keep him in mind for my next plumbing issue.

L & R Services were very quick and did a good job. I really like the system they put in.

He keeps the work area very clean, he is meticulous about caring for the customers property, he is very knowledgeable about the fireplaces in all aspects and he puts the customer first. I think of his service as top quality.

He gave an estimate over phone including 10% discount for Angie's List membership. Arranged a date and time for appointment wihin a two hour window. On the day of appointment, called earlier to offer to come early because another job was finished early. Arrived as scheduled, assessed the cracked faucet and discussed options. Replaced the faucet as planned, cleaned up the worksite and wrote out receipt. He was friendly, personable and professional the entire time. I will call him again and have already offered his company name to a friend who needed a plumber.
