Keesen made the appt and kept it without any trouble. The man who showed up however was not knowledgeable about irrigation. He turned on the system and said it looked fine (even though I mentioned to him trouble spots and brown lawn). I asked him how to adjust a roter head and he didn't know. He offered no sound advise, was there for 15 min max, took his payment and left. It was a complete waste of $65 and I would not recommend it to anyone.
Description of Work: Keesen was offering a special for $65 to come look and eval your sprinkler system, tune it up and make suggestions for repairs if needed.

They showed up right on time as scheduled. The technician was very friendly and responsive to our questions.He fixed a few minor problems and made a few recommendations for future enhancements.Overall it went very well. No problems, and will definately use them again.
Description of Work: Started up sprinkler system for the season. Fixed a leak, replaced broken sprinkler head. Adjusted all zones for maximum water coverage.

Extremely quick, professional service. This is a reliable and courteous company.
Description of Work: The timer clock for my sprinkler system died and had to be replaced. Keesan removed the old clock and installed a new one that is far easier to use. The last time I had the clock replaced was in 1999 and it was almost $1,000, so this was far less expensive for a nicer product.

Unfortunately, of the 3 times they've been out, we had to call them back 2 of the times for work done wrong, and the one time we didn't have to call them back, the next time they came out, the guy said it had been done wrong anyway and needed to be changed. After the last time, I just taught myself a bit about sprinklers and fixed what they had done poorly myself. While their s he duping office and appt keeper seems to be top notch, as far as the techs go, if they can do a half way job & get out of there fast, they will. BTW - each tech that has. Ome out has told me something like "I've been doing this job 20 years, and that last guy you had out here clearly didn't know what he was doing.". But EACH of them say that. And then it's still wrong. Finally my wife asked me to find another company for the next go round, because it's not worth the headache.

They showed up to turn on my sprinklers for the season, but never followed up with the work that needed to be done or ever called back again. The guy who showed up was nice and informative, but no follow up ever occurred and my lawn died. After a week or two I just called another company to come out and change the broken heads, and now it works great. I think that they just got slammed with their Angie's list promotion and couldn't handle the traffic. Too bad..

They didn't show up to do their work when I called them and they had a re-schedule. The next time they came, they didn't have with them the materials they need so there is a re-schedule again.

I paid 65 dollars for an Angie's List deal that was going to Turn on my sprinkler system and double check that everything was working properly. I turned on the system myself a few days before they came. He gave me some informative information that was helpful regarding my sprinklers, was surprised I already turned it on. He checked each sprinkler head and gave me advice. He did not really do anything and I felt like I paid 65 dollars for nothing. On top of that, the prices he was quoting in regards to fixing some of my broken sprinkers was nothing short of astounding. I think he may have said that it could be an hourly wage of 70 dollars and that they cannot approximate how long it will take. Dismayed regarding the whole experience.

When I made the appointment I expressed a time limitation which they eagerly accomodated. Their representative James arrived on time and aware of my time limitation. He diligently worked to complete his work by the desired time. James has excellent customer service skills and performed the work efficiently and effectively. He took the time to explain what he needed to do and what my options were. He worked to provide the best possible solution at the best price. I would highly recommend Keesen!

Day One: I scheduled an appointment with Keesen. They don't give windows, so you are at the technician's mercy. Got a call at 10:45 am, indicating he was 15 minutes away. Two and a half hours later, he arrived. Said that I had a broken pipe right by my drain and also needed the wireless rain sensor, that I bought from Angie's List installed. This is what I scheduled him for. The technician (Jerry) said he was real busy and acted real jittery about the project. Before he started, I showed him my backflow valve and said one of the two handles had stayed permanently open for 14 years and hasn't been a problem. He looked at it and said he could fix it while he was here and I said I didn't think it needed fixing but if he wanted to look at it, to go ahead. He took a wrench to it and within five seconds, snapped the handle off. He said he would have to come back and fix that, as he did not have the tools to fix it. He then cut a hole in the ground, found the leak and said it was major work, called into the office and then told me that he couldn't help me until Saturday at the earliest. He laid the sod, quite haphazardly over the hole and said he would be back between 11:00 - 12:00 on Saturday. Gave me the wireless rain sensor box and said to hold it for him until Saturday. I'm not real happy but since I'm already in for the wireless sensor at $119, I have to keep with this firm. By the way, you can buy it for $55 from Amazon and install it yourself pretty easily. There's even a You Tube video on the net. Keesen says, it's a $220 value. Day Two: Even though I have plans, I agreed to move them to later in the afternoon, as Jerry says he can do everything within an hour, so between noon and one, I should be completed. At 2:30, I still had not heard from him. I start calling and find him at 2:45 and said it would be another hour. Jerry and his assistant come at 4:35 pm, my plans are now ruined and I got these two guys rushing around and really not looking too professional. The assistant stars digging right next to the original hole and I look at my wife and said, "He's digging too close to our buried sensors." Jerry meanwhile says he can start on the rain sensor, which needs to be attached next to my rain gutter. He then looks at me and says, "Do you have a ladder?" Really, do all their techs have to borrow things from the customer? I give him a ladder, he tries to attach it to the roof and BREAKS the sensor right off. His assistant does fix the drain however. Jerry goes to his truck, gets another sensor and writes something akin to borrowed from another tech's truck on the box. He hooks the sensor up and then goes into my house to wire the remote up to my timer. He looks at the screws and asks me, "Do you have a screwdriver?" I told him I had one and to give him a second but then he pulls one out of his pocket. I look at my wife and told her I'd bet the farm it doesn't work. He tells me it's all wired up and says he has to go, his wife and him are going out. I said I would like to see the sprinklers come on and show me how the sensor works. He starts the timer and says, it's working. You cannot hear any water going, so I tell him it's not and he goes outside to check and guess what, no water's coming out. He disconnects the sensor from my timer and we start it and it works. He goes, well everything's working, we have to go, it was a bad sensor, not from his truck and shows me the box again with his handwriting, as if to prove his point. I said I wanted to see all five sections start. This doesn't make him happy by his body language and we go outside. We get to section three and it's not starting. He looks at my timer and says it's a defective valve on three, as he could tell by the dripping water icon on my timer. I told him, that icon is on all the time when that section should be watering. He says, they're out of time and I'll need to reschedule. Remember, I'm still $119 in and this guy gives me a bill for all the work he's done. I leave a message at Keesen, indicating my displeasure at the technician, as well as Keesen, as he's representing their business. He also tried to walk off with my long handled drain opener. I tell him that it's mine, he asks if I'm sure and after affirming that, he says, I lose those all the time. Day Three: After hearing back from Keesen that Jerry would be returning, along with his supervisor to fix everything, including what he broke. They show up and he tells Jerry to get started on the backflow valve but show him where the defective valve is, Jerry pulls up my nearly dead sod now and shows him where he is planning on fixing the valve. The supervisor goes, you mean the line that is cut there? So they go to work on fixing those two items. After those items are fixed, the supervisor shows me how the sensor is supposed to work, then they go to the basement to look at the "defective" receiver for the rain sensor. The supervisor takes one look at it and says, it's wired wrong. Jerry rewires it and says it's done. Once again, I say I want to see all five sections run. This time with the sensor wired in, all five sections water on time. I think all problems are resolved, so let them go, I receive a second bill that day. Day Four: I realize that my sprinkler is working but the sensor is not overriding my timer on rainy days. I have to get another visit and lo and behold, it has to be re-wired again. It seems to work now but have not had a day of rain that coincided with the sprinkler supposed to be on, we'll wait and see. So four visits to fix a 1" broken PVC tee, which on day one, I was told was a major job and the installation of a rain sensor, which they sell through Angie's List but the tech has no clue on how to install it. Also, when I first called for an appointment, the person I spoke to said that I would receive a $50.00, first time Angie's List rebate, as well as getting a rebate from Denver Water on the rain sensor. Neither was true. However, in regards to the bill, it was altered down quite a bit. The person I spoke to on their end, Sandy, was quite apologetic and truly wanted to make things right. Since there were so many "A" ratings for this business, I'm guessing I just had the wrong technician for the wrong job. However, that goes to training of staff. Depending on the technician sent, quite possible will determine whether it's an "A" or a "D" rating.

After getting 7 estimates for a sprinkler system and new sod I decided to go with Keesen because of their reputation, the professionalism of Chris the sales rep, and the price. For the work I was having done, I didn't find a cheaper price. Chris and his team did an excellent job and finished in a day and a half. Chris provided excellent customer service, and was able to reschedule the appointment to accommodate my schedule. When you call the company a person actually answers the phone and makes an appointment with you, they also call a day before to confirm the appointment. Excellent service all around. I look forward to dealing with them in the winter when they blow out the sprinkler for free this year as part of the warranty.

Bottom line: a quality company with a quality lawn irrigation system.
Description of Work: Chris and the rest of the Keesen crew replaced my entire, tired, 40 year old system with a new state of the art system that provides total coverage in a precise fashion that will save me water and landscape costs in the long run. Everything was done on time and according to the estimate. I now have control of my entire yard's irrigation needs to include that for my vegetable garden, according to the season and the varying Denver watering restrictions.

William showed up on time and checked out the situation. I showed him that I had already bought a brand new complete PV unit. William said I only needed a single valve portion of it (only 1 of 2 valves burst) and I could save money by returning the rest of the unit. However, since I bought it online and would be a pain to return, I asked William to install the whole thing anyway. He went right to work and was done in about 15 mins. We turned on the water and everything worked. Can't complain about that. Afterwards he showed me how I should set the valve handles for the winter so that I don't have a repeat of a valve bursting. He also told me to keep the rest of the unit that was still good just in case I do break another valve. I probably would've just tossed it. I appreciated the info. As for the price ($121) I felt I got my money's worth. I didn't have the tools or knowledge to do this on my own. I wasn't sure if I needed to call a plumber or a sprinkler service. Glad I went with Keesen, a plumber probably would've cost me $300 or more.
Description of Work: I had a pressure valve (PV) that burst in the valve area, not at the usual plastic poppet area. Pre-purchased an identical PV but needed someone to cut the old one off and replace with the new one. After looking at many web sites and YouTube videos on how to replace a PV, I knew this was more than just using a monkey wrench. I wasn't about to cut pipes and a blow-torch/solder them back together again on my own so I called Keesen.

The appointment was at 8 am. James arrived at 8 and got right to work. He completed the job in about 30 minutes.

Paul and George did everything in only three hours, saving me three hours of labor from the estimate! Those two guys worked very hard and did an outstanding job. Paul went over everything with me when they finished and I am very impressed with their work. I would definitely hire them again if I need additional irrigation work.

My technician from Keesen Lawn Sprinkler was James. I was sooooo surprised at how pleasant he was. He knew exactly what needed to be done and got to it straight away. He repaired the leak, replaced some sprinkler heads, dug out some buried sprinkler heads, made the adjustments for maximum coverage. He then set the timer to match my watering schedule. It was so refreshing to have such a nice guy working on this issue that has plagued me for 2 years. I will definitely be calling James for any other Sprinkler work I need. I have already made arrangements to have him back when it is time to shut the system down for the fall. I can't believe that I spent so much time with other services and never got any degree of satisfaction. James is awesome.
Description of Work: Keesen Lawn Sprinkler (James) came to do a sprinkler start up. I had a leak that needed to repaired before he could even do the work. He completed the repair (which was an extra cost over and above the Angies list coupon). He did the work quickly and then went about doing the work related to the Angies List.

I have to give them an F. I purchased a $65 Angie's list coupon for sprinkler system ?turn on and tune-up? because it seemed to offer a thorough leak inspection. I was in need of this service because I didn't blow out my system over the winter and it had several obvious leaks. I thought maybe they would tell me if there were any other leaks and quote me a price on those I already knew about. So I was shocked when I came home from work and my girlfriend relayed the message that there was no damage. The leaks that he failed to identify are in the main line so water begins to drip immediately upon turning on the system and, if left unrepaired, would continue to do so 24 hours a day. Evan after just a few hours, both of my valve boxes were nearly full from leaking water. Additionally, about a month back, I severed a drip line with a shovel. When this zone is on, water shoots up into the air about 10 feet and would have been impossible to miss. I still can?t believe he reported that there were no leaks. The people at Keesen were nice enough and offered to have someone come back out, but the only technician available was the same guy who performed the service. I decided to go with another company just because I didn?t want an awkward conversation with the guy from Keesen. Plus I didn?t put much trust in his competence.

The experience was good, from the office staff to schedule the appointment to the individual who performed the work. So far all seems to work fine. Once we get into the heavy sprinkling days we can confirm.

I received a phone call within a few days of my initial inquiry to set up an appointment. We were very pleased with the promptness & professionalism of the estimator. My husband chose to do the trenching for the new line in order to save some money on the project. They came out on Friday, on time, and the project was completed on time and on schedule. We are extremely pleased with the results.
Description of Work: We had a new sprinkler line added to water all of our flower beds and shrubs. They used water saving sprinkler heads,and advised us on how much water savings we could expect by changing all of the heads in the rest of the sprinkler system.

Technician was courteous and competent. Gave me a $50 Angie's List discount, but overall price was too high, $80 for service call, $160 for 2 hours labor plus $80 for fuel surcharge and parts. I may use them again, but will shop for a better price. I live near their office and the $80 for fuel surcharge was the last thrust of the knife.

The service man sent by Keesen was supposed to call about one half hour prior to coming out so I could be sure I was home. He did NOT, saying he had forgotten to call. He was punctual. Luckily, I was already home. He seemed to do a throrough job. But, later in the weekend, I noticed that he had missed two sprinkler heads that were not working at all. It was a simple fix for me, but for the price being charged, I would have expected a more complete job to have been done and the repairs to be made by Keesen. The service man was pleasant and courteous and took my discount coupon. It was nice to get a $50 discount on the service. Here is another area where the service man did not perform well. He reset my watering schedule program so that both programs A and B would run during the week. The problem is that with the Rain Bird controller I use, it is either programs A or B, you cannot have both active at the same time. I noticed this error a couple of days after he did his service and corrected it. To be sure he was not correct, I programmed the B program to run while A was active, and B did not run. If he had checked with me before making the change, I could have told him that both programs could not be active at the same time. This was an AVERAGE job. A disappointment considering all of the great reviews Keesen has gotten with Anjie's List. I expected far better from Keesen. The staff at the Keesen main office is top notch and treated me well. Too bad they do not come out to do the work. I put down that I would use Keesen again. I may or may not. But before I do, I will need to know that they are dedicated to doing a much better job than was done this time.
Description of Work: Lawn sprinkler Spring start-up. Check the sprinklers, make sure they are all working with good spray patterns and effective coverage of my lawn.
