J & J Tree Care

We got them off Angie's List. They did a fabulous job. The gentleman who came out for us was extremely pleasant. He was very professional. They did an excellent job. They are bit expensive, but I think all of the arborous stuffs are pretty expensive. Their price was pretty much middle of the road. They were wonderful. I would use them in the future.

John and his staff at J&J Tree Care did a great job. John came out to quote the job without me having to be home and left the quote at the house. The staff were friendly, hard working and FAST! The only thing I was concerned about was the noise my neighbors would have to endure, since I had a 7:30/8am slot on a Saturday morning. My yard looks so much better and John was nice enough to come back out to stake the tree they planted since that was not done the same day. I will definitely have them back to do more tree work for me.

Called Toby at J&J and explained that during the 1st major storm and following freeze, a major arm split on my Silver Maple and was being held up by another branch and with another storm coming, was afraid that arm come down and possibly do some damage to either the roof, the rain gutters or any parked car in our drive way. Received a bid the next day and when I accepted it, he first indicated that because of the storm damage, they couldn't come out for a week and they thought it would be OK. A little while later, I received a message that said they understood my concern about this 35 foot section of tree coming down and the possible damage it could cause. They sent out a crew the next day before the next storm hit and did a wonderful job cleaning up the tree, took care of all the damages and did a great clean up job, even taking all the branches that I had cleaned and bunched up the previous weekend. 2nd time we have used J&J and have recommended them to all our neighbors.

The service was fine and they trim our trees all the time. I think their prices are a little bit better than some of the bigger companies. I have always used them and they give specials in the area where we live in the winter time.

I've used them quite a few times so I obviously will continue to use them.

J&J work crew is very friendly and they always call the night before service. I have had serval things done by them including trimming of locus trees last fall. They did an excellent job and I will continue to use them for my tree services.

It went great, I called and scheduled an estimate. They had the best price and the estimator seemed to know the most about my trees and how to trim them, how often and basic things I could do to increase their health.

They do a good job and keep you informed if there are any issues that they see; I even had a few of them. They charge a very reasonable price.

The tree has been diseased with Fire Blight for many years. At some point in its life it was cut way back, and the whole thing looked awful. It was recommended that the tree be removed. However, because it attracts birds and provides shade, I chose to try trimming it and having the Fire Blight removed instead. The end result is amazing! The tree looks fantastic. I can't wait until Spring to see it with its new growth.

Overall, the experience is always excellent. We've used this company continously over the last ten years. They always clean up perfectly. My neighbors saw their work on our yard and they hired this company as well. Once, when we had a large snow, which caused alot of tree damage, this company just showed up the next day and started working on my trees, which I really appreciated. I'm happy with their services and I would recommend them to others.

We are extremely pleased with the work performed by J & J Tree Care. We contacted J&J in the summer of 2010. Within a couple days of our initial call, they visited our house to confirm the nature of the work and prepared a very reasonable estimate in comparison to other service providers and considering that much of the work had to be done in close proximity to overhead power lines. The work had to be scheduled for the winter months to ensure that our crabapple trees were fully dormant. As promised, they contacted us in December, several days before the actual day of work to confirm our needs. This was a good thing since one of our trees became diseased and needed to be removed instead of just being pruned. J&J still honored the original contract price, despite this change of work. Although we were not home to watch the work being done, we were very pleased with the end result. Our trees look perfect. J&J also thoroughly cleaned up our yard after completing their work, in fact they even raked up and removed a ton of leaves in the backyard without charging us an extra dime (very nice!). We will be using J&J again.

It went well. The man in charge was approachable and willing to answer my questions and take my advice. They cleaned up and took away the trimmings, and left everything in good order. Very professional job.

I had previously obtained estimates for this work from four other tree companies. Every time, the companies would give me an estimate and then not show up on the date the work was to be done. Everyone had "truck issues" or "equipment issues." I was beginning to think that there were no tree companies in Denver with working equipment. Call me crazy, but in this tough economy, you would think businesses would WANT a job that would bring in just less than $2000. By the time I called J&J, I was at my wit's end. Jim came right out to give me a quote, and told me that while he couldn't get out to cut and trim my trees for a couple of weeks, he would be out within a day or two to fertilize my other tree, as it was the perfect time of year to feed. The guys showed up the next day and got that part of it done. A couple of weeks later, a date was set for the actual tree removal. When I woke up on the assigned day, it was snowing. I was sure that the work would not be done that day. Remember, I couldn't seem to get a tree company to show up in GOOD weather. I went out for several hours. When I returned, My trees were gone, the stump removal had been done so well that I couldn't even tell where the trees had been, my yard was immaculate, and my fence (right under the big cottonwood that had been taken out), was not only still standing, but remained in perfect condition. These guys did an INCREDIBLE job. I intend to have another tree or two removed in the spring, and several more planted, and I won't call anyone but J&J.

I had used J&J previous to spray the trees for bugs that are very common among locust trees. They called to do the 2nd spray which wans't needed and I had them come out and give an estimate on triming the trees. Jeff showed up the next day and provided an estimate. I also go estimates from 3 other companies and J&J was the least expensive, so I went with them. There was a minor issue with the scheduling process as I was leaving town and when I got back they had some big jobs which put scheduling the job a couple weeks out. This really didn't matter to me since it wasn't an urgent issue. The crew showed up just as scheduled and were very professional - they talked to me about what I wanted done and made some suggestions - which were all good ones. They work took about 1/2 day and they did an excellent clean up job - you would never know they did so much work, except the trees look great now. I would highly recommend this company as they are easy to work with, professional, and do great work.

First, provided free cost estimate of tree removal service. After I called to give the go ahead, they scheduled the tree removal date within a couple of weeks. These guys are fast and professional and provided excellent clean up. I would definitely use this tree service again.

J & J responded to our call for quote. Their prices were fair. Showed up promptly on the date of service and were very professional and polite. Had 3 large trucks (with cherry pickers), plus chipper. Went to work - stayed at work until all four trees done. (From about 7:45 AM to about 2 PM) The team was constantly busy. Knowledgeable and competent. Cleaned up perfectly when finished. Trees look great! Very pleased with their work! Will use them again. Highly recommend!

I contacted J&J Tree Service for an estimate. They were very friendly, professional and prompt in accessing my yard. The estimator gave me a very reasonable bid to do the work in my back yard. I called them back to complete the work and they set an appointment to finish the work within days. I was extremely pleased with the result. They worked quickly and left my yard in the best shape it's been in years. The next time I need any service for yard or tree cleanup I will definitely hire J&J. The discount coupon really was an added bonus and helped so much as I am on a tight budget. Thank you J&J.

After getting the bid, we talked with them about our specific needs. When I said that we'd like to set up a time for them to come out, they said that they had a crew over in our neighborhood and if we were home that afternoon they could come right away. They arrived as promised. There were 4 men on the crew (all very polite). Two of the men did the removal and trimming while the others carried away the debris. We'd been concerned about the Aspen because our town house outdoor space was small (the tree was between the house, the fireplace, the fence and an airconditioner). We also knew there was no way to drive the truck up close to the house. The foreman of the crew parked the as close as possible ("no problem"). They moved plants out of the way, did the work and cleaned everything up. It was delightful to have everything taken care of in a matter of hours. The Ornamental Plum tree looks great.

J & J came out and gave us an estimate. We decided to use them for the work and they came out fertilized , sprayed the tree and several days later came back and trimmed the tree. The tree looks great and we would definitely use their services again.

Work was all arranged over the phone. I was not home when they stopped by and provided the estimate or when they did the work. As far as I can tell they did a very thorough, professional job. Cleaned up every last branch and twig. Cost was the lowest I found out of 5 estimates.

They were wonderful. That was the second time I used them. They were reasonable, prompt, and did a good job. Obviously, I will definitely use them again. They are my tree guys now. The price was good, great value. Compared to the other ones, they were reasonable.

The quote was rushed. Other companies took time to discuss options, explain reasons, and explain details. Even when I asked several questions and asked for details to show I was a conscientious consumer who wanted information about the job first, the representative didn't really answer my questions conclusively. There were representatives from other companies who gave advice that contradicted what this company said (and explained why), so I questioned the J&J rep's credibility too. They were also the 2nd highest price company of the 4 we got quotes from. Therefore, we chose NOT to work with them.

Never was able to talk to the service provider, but from a customer service perspective, it stunk!
