Description of Work: I have used J&J Tree Care for several years. I initially called them because I have a silver maple that had developed Yellow Leaf disease. I had already tried three other services ot treat the tree with no results. My maple was dying. J&J came out, identified the problem and treated the tree with astounding results. They virtually saved our tree. I have used many of their services for years. All my trees are healthy thanks to their excellent care and expertise. If you use them, you will not regret your decision. I give J&J a five star rating.

Description of Work: Removed a huge dead and dying tree in a small area. Many electrical wires etc were in the way. No problem with anything they did for us. Ground up trunk and cleaned up so well we couldn't tell there was even a tree there.

Description of Work: I hired J and J to remove a medium-size (10 inch diameter) tree from my back yard. They came at the time set, quickly got to work, and had the job done in under two hours, complete with stump removal. The stump was near a sprinkler hose, and they carefully worked around it. They cleaned up and were on their way.

Description of Work: J & J Tree Care's estimator Brian Hetzel was professional and friendly. His bid was $1,170 to remove our 30 to 40 foot Douglas fir tree, plus $160 to grind the stump down as much as possible, so total $1,330, less $133 if senior discount, for net $1,197. This bid was much more than the bid of $720 less $36 from Davey, and the bid we accepted from Tree Pros for $355. See our writeup on Tree Pros.

 + -1 moreWhen I called for an estimate, John sent someone out quickly. The estimate was almost $500 less than the price quoted by Davey Tree Co. It took approximately two weeks from the time I called to hire J&J to the time when they came to trim, but the job wasn't urgent. They called one business day ahead and arrived promptly at the time they stated. Since the tree was located away from the street, they placed plywood on my lawn and drove their truck up on the plywood. They left the yard free of tracks and debris. As far as I can tell, they did a good job with the trimming.
Description of Work: Trimmed limbs on large silver maple tree located between our house and neighbors'.

 + -1 moreVery happy with the whole experience. John was easy to work with. The crew did the job in a couple of hours, cleaning up extremely well afterwards. Various neighbors came by and gave me unsolicited comments about the look of the tree, the way the crew worked and the professionalism of the staff. This was good to hear, since I was at work the entire time they performed their services. Would hire again. I don't always go with the lowest bid but taking into consideration the reviews here, along with their low bid, my wife and I are glad we chose J & J.

Then called us the day before they were going to come out just as they said they would. They were very reliable. I was not home at the time and they still did the job and left an invoice for payment. A very good experience compared to another service we tried.
Description of Work: Trimmed 30 foot tree with limbs hanging over the neighbors yard. Also, removed a tree stump down to 2 feet below ground level as we are having cement work done over it.
