Our deck was in very bad condition.....old stain/paint was peeling and worn. Mike spent a day power sprayingthe two-tiered deck and all railing. He came back a few days later, after all had completely dried out, to applya new finish to everything. It looks beautiful! He also repaired a window with rotted out wood, to get us by untilwe can get all windows replaced. We are very happy with our deck and will definitely be calling Mike in thefuture, for any other jobs we will need done.

Did pretty good work, but overall we had some miscommunication. Some things were not done with quality, but most were. There was a lot of things he did really well. He did a great job on patch tile work in shower bathroom. He did an excellent framing work for side steps to the house. Did good work on a walk in garage door. He is very knowledgeable.

Mike Johnson repaired some water damaged drywall for me.

He was prompt, clean, on time, and did the project beautifully. It was very pleasant working with him. I would recommend him for any of the services mentioned before.

Mike was extremely professional and also very efficient. Very fast worker. He paid a lot of attention to detail, which was very important in order to do the job correctly. I would definitely hire him again. Excellent work. The work was performed at 1421 Pennsylvania St., Denver, 80203. (Computer won't let me add my address in the next step for some reason).

It went smoothly. There is no story to tell.

His estimate was for $300. He could never find time to work us into his schedule so I will not use him again.

He told me over the phone that his backlog was 6 to 8 weeks, but when I explained in detail what I needed done, he said he could do it the next day because his dog was going in for an operation and the work I described would only take an hour. He did the work I needed done at the agree upon price, leaving the invoice when he finished.

From our first meeting, Mike has been friendly and professiona, asking questions to assure that he had the same picture of the project as we did. He was timely and efficient. Cleaned up the project site everyday so it was easy to come home to. Mike was great to work with and we did hire him to work on some additional projects following the completion of the deck, including a beautiful built-in craftsman style china cablinet currently in progress. Love it!

Mike responded very quickly to an email and performed an estimate the same day. His schedule was busy, so he couldn't get to the work right away. When I called again to check on the estimated date, he agreed to do the work the same day. He worked his schedule around mine, performed the work quickly, and did a great job.

Mike performed all the work beautifully. He worked and reworked each door until it hung smoothly (even with the third hinge) and closed properly. He showed up on time, cleaned up throughout the project, and kept to his estimated cost and time frame (1 day's work). His original bid was $100-200 higher than other handymen (also highly rated on Angie's list) but Mike seemed the most confident about how he would fix the doors, that we felt it was worth the money.

Mike Johnson was good. He showed up on time, was honest and did everything he said he would. He could not repair the problem, so he referred me to a plumber. I don’t know how his repair skills are because he has not repaired anything. I would use him again in the future if necessary.

Many home improvements and punch list items; all were done to complete satisfaction

Mike did work for my mother including cleaning up her small yard at her townhouse and spreading mulch and weed killer. He also replaced 2 badly warped boards on her decking and he fixed and re-positioned the float on her swamp cooler so that it works better than ever. He put down wood laminate flooring on her kitchen and dining room. (it looks great) He put in a new vanity, sink, and faucet fixture in her bathroom along with with new ceramic floor tile. He put up a wall mirror in the bedroom which had just been leaning against the wall for years. He also put new locks on her patio doors. He did this all in a very timely manner and was very pleasant to have around, he does excellent work and I will definately use his services again. Oh yeah, how could I not mention, on the second or third day he was working he actually broke his leg when he tripped over an uneven crack in a sidewalk. He showed up the next morning with a soft cast on his leg and continued his work. Pretty amazing. Excellent worker.

Mike is punctual and he is responsive. You can tell him the last minute changes and he will gladly work with you.A responsible person and he cleans up after each day of work. Price wise, as long as you define your work clearly, he usually does not change it. He is much cheaper than the brick and morta company. He is busy and usually booked for one project after another. If you are not in a hurry to complete anything, he is definitely worth the wait.He knows some companies which sell good quality products and he does not go for cheaper ones cos they break easily.

Overall top notch experience. Mike came in and did work to help us finish our basement. We are pleased with the end result and especially the masonry work on the fireplace.

I got a email response the same day I sent my request for an estimate. His estimate was in line with the other estimates I received and he could do the work sooner than others I talked to. He also came with a very high rating on Angie's List where the others were not listed at all. He was efficient and knowledgable.

Mike had previously totally redone our bathroom. We were incredibly pleased with those results and knew we would consider him for kitchen work. We did get several bids and Mike's was within our budget. Had his bid been higher, we still would have gone with him since we knew the quality of his work. He has fantastic attention to detail. There were several stumbling blocks in our remodel (older home), but Mike was able to troubleshoot each time to make things work. We have gladly passed his name on to friends who are looking to do remodeling.

His price was fair and he did a good job. I then called him again to see if he could help with another small project. He advised me that he had something larger to do, so wouldn't be able to get to my project for a few weeks. He was prompt in getting back to me and was honest.

I am satisfied thus far with Hire A Hubby. We have been pleased with everything from start to finish. He was punctual, gave us good ideas, and was willing to take on all parts of the job. The previous guy said that I would have to deal seperately with the glass guy and Hire A Hubby said they would take care of that for me. He has kept in constant contact with me and has been very responsive. He seems very knowledgeable.

The ramp that Mike built was made so that Dusty can go up the three stairs in the garage into the house. He made it so solidly that it doesn't bounce at all and Dusty has gotten used to it within 2 days. He configured it so that it goes down a bit and then makes a 90 degree turn so that the cars will still fit in the garage.

Mike worked quickly and completed all of the projects within 2 days. Everything looks great! By the way, the poor guy had to contend with a wasp's nest under the stairs while replacing the steps. I've also contracted with him to build a sturdy ramp for my large dog so he can go up 3 stairs in the garage into the house. He's made them before and loves dogs.

Overall, we really enjoyed working with Mike. He was extremely prompt with all communication during the entire phase of the project. He was professional and I completely trusted him to have access to our home while we were at work. Mike gave us written estimates, that detailed material cost and labor cost separately. The estimates closely matched the final cost. The quality of the work was very detail oriented. The vanity was being installed in an alcove area, which is not exactly square, requiring a few cuts to fit in the space. Mike had all the equipment he needed to do this professionally. I was also very pleased with the finishing details. The caulk lines were nice and clean and plumbing cut outs were proportionate to holes needed. We are very pleased with the final result. In addition, he connected us to someone who took away our scrap metal (old gutters) for free! He is also a dog person, so this was a bonus with our "slow to warm up to new people" min pin.
