Description of Work: I had minor repairs that needed to be done in a rental unit. This list included things such as: regrouting, the towel rack had fallen off the wall, running toilet, tightening hinges on the cabinets, etc. The estimate for this work seemed a bit high but I decided to go for it since this company had such a high rating on Angies List. This has been a nightmare. Dean, the handyman, was unprofessional. He arrived late and tried to pass some personal items off on me for reimbursement along with the supplies need for repairs (specifically candy bars). Dean did not clean up after the work was done and I had to do it. However the work got done and the experience was a B/C grade. A couple of days later the tenants let me know that the toilet was still running and the new shower rack fell off the wall. Handyman Connection wanted Dean to do the fixing so off I went to meet Dean again. Although there was no charge for this visit I had to take time out of my day. Dean was late again. (I should have insisted on a different handyman.) A few weeks later the tenants contacted me to let me know that the toilet is still running and another repair broke again. I emailed all the contacts at Handyman Connection that I could find. I told them that I was so angry that I did not want to talk on the phone; I was afraid I would be less than tactful. Mary Scheere emailed me back saying they were "so sorry for what Dean did" and they "wanted to gain my trust back". Mary asked me to call. I emailed back saying that unless they could fix the problems AND give me some $$ back, there was no sense talking on the phone. I got a curt email back from Mary saying she attached a copy of the warranty information. That was it. Hey guess what guys - you know that warranty for 1 year? it doesn't apply to rental properties or income producint properties (ie business) - fine print on the invoice I signed. Not that I care. I can't deal with these folks anymore. Chalk it up to lessons learned and move on. Handyman Connection was aware that I have other projects at my business and home and that I was using this minor work as a test case. I think they would have been willing to cut a deal on a future project but were totally unwilling to give me $$ back for my wasted time in going back and forth to let Dean in the unit. So much for wanting to "regain my trust". Have a great day everyone. This stuff isn't worth losing sleep over, but BUYER BEWARE!

We have never had the above name in our database, nor have we done any work for this person.. With that said, we DO have a customer named (Person's Name) that we have worked for in a rental property and I think this may be a way to submit a complaint without disclosing the true name of the party. Mary in our warranty department has tried to please (Person's Name), but this customer refused to discuss this problem by phone and insisted on E-mail. Mary received several rude and insulting E-mails from (Person's Name) even stating that it made her nausous to think of dealing with our company again. We warranty our plumbing for 90 days and her work was out of warranty. We also do not warranty work on rental properties, and this is clearly stated on the back of every copy of our contract. (Person's Name) even asked for money back and then she might consider talking to us by phone. Our policy is to settle our warranty issues, not to give refunds , especially if the contract is out of warranty.

As well as it could have.
Description of Work: Installed my ceiling fan.... took the better part of the day, but he finally got it done. It was a tough install that included demo-ing some of my ceiling and the junction "box" behind it. I couldn't have done it with the tools I had. I'm glad he (Barney?) was patient and determined enought to get it done!
