I was told by Handyman Connection that for fixing leaky toilets, all the parts would need to be purchased (not just one) in order to make sure the leak was found. This was reasonable to me. However, the individual who came to my house decided only a flapper was needed so only purchased that part. The toilet still leaked. I had to call again to reschedule with him to get the job completed; it took 2 weeks to get scheduled. After replacing the rest of the parts, the problem was solved. For the first visit, the individual was running late but called to let me know, which I appreciated. Second time, he did not show on time and I called after 30 minutes of waiting. He said he was running late and was walking his dog. Handyman Connection folks were great to work with, but I will not use this particular individual again.

He was a young man named Randy. He came when we needed him and he was very reliable and knowledgeable.

We had the option of going and getting the supplies ourselves for the electrician to install or have them go and get it for an extra charge. It did take more time this way but it did save us some money. We are very happy with their work. We found their price to be less than others that we talked to. They were on time. I like the fact that they worked with me to make sure that the lights were going in the right places and that I would be happy with the location. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good licensed electrician.

The contractor did everything that I asked and did a very nice job. He cleaned up everything while he was working. He also hauled all materials away when finished at days end. They do sub contract for each category, i.e. electric, flooring etc. Although they do great work I am looking for someone who can do multiple things so I do not have to call back to get another person to come out.

My project required a second estimate whom was a certified plumber. After being told this by the first contractor at my home on Thursday, I immediately contacted Handyman Connections and scheduled a second appointment the following Saturday, at 3:00pm for licensed plumber, Manual Garcia to supply an estimate. That Saturday Garcia called at 2:30pm to inform me he was going to be late. He asked, "When is the latest I could arrive there". I simply informed him: "I have family in town this week and I rescheduled my weekend to meet you. We (my family and I) drove all the way from Boulder to Lakewood today to meet you here. When can you get here?" In one breath Garcia loudly and defensively screamed into the phone: "YEAH WELL, I HAVE TO SCHEDULE MY WEEKENDS AROUND MY WEEKDAYS AND MY WEEKDAYS AROUND MY WEEKENDS. I'M STUCK OUT HERE TO HAVE THIS JOB FINISHED AND IT IS A LIFE AND DEATH SITUATION FOR THESE PEOPLE TO ROLL OUT. JUST CAN T RESCHEDULE SOMETHING THAT S WORTH JUST A QUARTER OF THE PAN.

Handyman Connection diagnosed the problem and fixed it as described in the bid sheet/statement of work to be performed. The work was performed on time and just as he described it would.

This guy was less than a electrician and he did a great job. He was friendly and easy to get along with. He charged by the hour and went right to work. He was professional and very clean.

The central office personnel were responsive and efficient in handling my request for an estimate. The cost came in $240 under a competitor's estimate. The plumber, Manny, was very good about keeping me informed regarding his progress, times of arrival, reasons for needed materials and offering options for the installation. Manny was very professional, personable, courteous and returned the work area to its original clean condition when he was done. The installation was superb according to the sprinkler company's technician. I will use the Handyman Connection in future projects.

They came out right away to give me an initial estimate. They only gave me a bid after having called it in and discussing it with their main office. They quickly gave me an official price on it and then started work immediately. They worked well into the night without any complaints. They were very professional about everything they did. They did an overall great job.

He worked in an extremely vigorous manner and finished the whole job in about two and a half hours. The work was well done and timely, but the cost was quite excessive. We were told of extra costs for a fairly minor job he discovered he had to do after the work was begun. The middle man (Handy Man Connection) adds extra expense that could be saved by using a highly rated independent, like one found on Angie's List.

They did not show up on time, the toilet wasn't working, and the shelf was crooked.

It was recommended the work be delayed until temperatures stay above freezing for several nights in a row.

While installing the door, he cut into the header, and cracked the drywall. He spent the rest of the day repairing that. 2nd day late again, no call. He changed out the toilet, but instead of fixing the floor under the old toilet like he said he would, he just shimmed it on the one side. He also permanently scratched several vinyl tiles because he didn't cover the floor. The fan he finished sounded like a jet engine when he was done beating it into place while refusing to read installation instructions. We called the company and refused to let him return. The owner came out and looked at his work. The next man she sent did fix the jet engine fan and repaired the drywall above the garage door, but told us we needed to hire an electrician for the other fan, and a plumber + $300 to fix floor under toilet, which seemed unfair so we refused. Husband installed fan himself, we still need to repair the toilet, and replace damaged floor tiles.

The company is extremely responsive and follow up for feedback after the project. The technician was well-qualified and completed the work quickly and professionally.

Estimate was 250. I didn't have rollers. He went to Home Depot for supplies. He broke one set of rollers, shopped again, reinstalled rollers on the door. The door still sticks and he gave up on it saying that's as good as he could fix it-no charge.

Overall, my experience was good. Robert Shaw showed up late for the first appointment and was a no show for the second appointment. On both occasions, he failed to call me to let me know that he would be late or could not come. I requested a different handyman and the company sent Mike McCarthy. Mike was very polite and on time and did excellent work.

The work was well done, but I thought the price was high.

Chris M. with Handyman Connection was superb! He purchased the materials, made the necessary fixes, cleaned up and left me with instructions on follow up to ensure there was no further leakage. He was extremely professional, and I felt very comfortable with him in my home. I'll definitely use Handyman Connection again and request Chris to help me out.

We were assigned a handyman and told he would come over to quote a figure for the whole job - they do not charge by the hour, and their prices do not include parts. You can pick up the parts yourself, or have handyman pick them up and you pay for them. Our handyman was running a little late, but called us to let us know. He quoted the job at a range of $410-$510 for all three tasks. We scheduled him to come back and install, and he would stop at Home Depot to pick up the parts on the way over (Home Depot called us to get our credit card number to pay for the parts). He did a great job and charged us $410 for the labor for all three tasks, which took a few hours total (not including the time of picking up the parts).

Mr Wright purchased the parts and completed the job within 30 minutes. Handyman (ACE)charges by the job and a coupon helped reduce the original bill by 25.00. Since I didn't get other bids and haven't had any recent plumbing am not sure if the price was in the normal range for this kind of repair. Would hire again if their pricing was in ballpark of other estimates.

I HAD THEM MOVE A WALL AND COMPLETELY REDRYWALL THE BATHROOM. THEY ALSO RETILED AND SWITCHED SOME PLUMBING AROUND TO MAKE THE BATHROOM MORE ACCESSIBLE. I WAS HAPPY WITH THEM.

THE JOB WAS A LITTLE BIGGER THEN THE ELECTRICIAN FIRST EXPECTED. HE HAD TO CHARGE ME A LITTLE MORE THAN HE ORIGINALLY ESTIMATED, BUT I RATHER EXPECTED THAT. HE HAD TO PULL WIRE AT LEAST 100 FEET THROUGH A CONDUIT & HE ATTACHED THE CONDUIT TO A FENCE. IT WAS A VERY BIG JOB & HE DID IT WELL.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB, IT LOOKS GREAT. THEY CAME BACK AT NO CHARGE, ONCE WE HAD THE PARTS THEY NEEDED TO FINISH THE JOB. THE PRICE WASN'T TO BAD EITHER.
