After I received the service estimate I sent a message asking about a bulk or senior discount. I did not get a response for nearly two weeks and sent it again. The manager responded saying he offered a senior discount of 10% but did not disclose what age qualified. I first called their office about the age but the lady on the phone did not know and referred me back to Kleinsmith. I sent another message asking the age to qualify but did not get a response. I followed that message with another asking if he really wanted my business or thought my questions were just an irritation. I got a message from their office informing me that Kleinsmith was out for the weekend but apologized for the slow response. The following Tuesday, I got another message from Kleinsmith accusing me of being hostile and to take my business somewhere else. I told him he must have me confused with someone else because all my conversations with him and his staff had been pleasant and business-like. His final message to me was off the chart angry and unprofessional to a degree I have never experienced. I had to finally tell him I was sorry I had ever had any dealings with him or his company and to not contact me in the future.

DLC Arbor Services arrived on time and confirmed the trees being cut down. They're expertized showed right away after setup. The bucket (cherry picker) from their truck moved in a expedient matter. He had to cross over electrical wires to get to one of the trees. Started to cut from top to bottom with his helper taking the limbs and shredding them right away with their machine. It was teamwork/artwork done masterfully in a couple of hours. They cleaned after cut down and even assisted an elderly lady with some tree limbs as they were leaving.

They were very nice and communicated clearly. They were responsive about the job.

This is a very good company. The person who answers the phone is friendly and nice, the estimator provided good information and was very helpful with my questions, and the trimmers were professional and cleaned the yard completely. I will definitely use them again.

DLC Arbor Services did an excellent job, especially with our Locust tree. When the locust tree leafed out in the late spring, it look great. They were very conscientious of the flower bed by the trees and covered it up so the flowers would not get damaged from the falling debris. They were on time and cleaned up after the job was done. We will definitely use them again.

DLC did an excellent job. They were more responsive, professional, and less costly than other companies I contacted. I had to wait about two months for the service but it was worth the wait. There is a reason they are so busy.

Consulted with me on what to do with sick tree. Wound up trimming alot of dead wood, though they were clear this might not help and I might have to spend again to remove the tree next year. They did a very professional job, and thoroughly cleaned the site after.

We are very happy with the service. They provider was very responsive and scheduled the service right away and explained the time frame of which they could provide the service.

It went great. They are very nice people and professional. Shortly after I made the purchase, they called and they sent me an email and we set up time for them to come over and review what I needed done. They told me at that time, that they had had such a tremendous response to the Angie’s List special, that it would take some time before they would be able to do the work and they would let know before hand when they would be here. They were completely upfront and honest throughout. I think the deal was a good price. I would use them again.

Jason came out soon after my call requesting a bid on work I wanted done in our yard. He was very nice and enthused about his company and the work they do. The price we agreed upon was more than fair. I senced he was honest and took pride in a job well done. On the day work was scheduled, Jason's crew of two very polite and hard working gentlemen arrived on time, and together we reviewed the work to be done as I walked them around our large yard. They got right to it, and worked very hard to do the job just the way I wanted it. The worst part of their job came as an after thought on my part when I asked if there was a chance of their removing the giant rabbit bush with a horrendous root system. They didn't hesitate to include it with everything else they had to do, and the additional charge was very small. I can't say enough good about my wonderful experience in using this company and will use them the next time I need tree work done.

One guy, Ken, Was on time. Did a great job, cleaned up and was done in no time. Very Professional as was The boss whose name escapes me right now. He came to look at the job and note it shortly after I ordered the Service.

I bought their Angie's List coupon for tree removal. The did not answer phone, finally returned call for scheduling over a week later. It took another 4 weeks to get an estimate, Their estimate was extremely high based on my location - they should have put that in the coupon or told me up front. Even so, I left a message saying OK do the work anyway, but they never called back to schedule the work. I have asked Angie's List to refund my coupon money. Also, Angie, if location is a criterion you need to put that info in the coupon promotion, not make me waste 2 months going through this frustration.

Jason was professional, polite and thanked me for choosing DLC to get the job done. Kenny was the foreman for the project and although they arrived a little later in the day then expected, the job was performed to complete satisfaction. I could not stay throughout the process as I had to work myself, however, when I arrived home later that night the job was completed, all as cleaned up and the Ash tree looked great! I will be re-using DLC to plant a new tree where the pine once stood and will recommend them to anyone who needs a tree trimming/removal completed. FYI....I saved $200. with an Angie's List coupon offer. Great job DLC!

They cut down the tree and made into a stump in a timely fashion.

It was an old stump. As they started to drill it out, the entire stump came out in one piece. Everything was over in less than a minute. They were as shocked as I was. Everything was handled very professionally, and the stump was removed, so I was satisfied.

It was really goo. They did a really good job and cleaned up really well when they were done and were really nice to deal with. The only downside is they're really busy so it takes a while to get on the schedule, but they were very knowledgeable, did an excellent job.

It worked out fine. They did a very good job. My husband really handled the work and they were willing to work within our budget to get the trees down that we needed down. They were very service oriented. We looked at different options and came out with the best thing for the money we could afford. They did a great job, they cleaned up, and left the wood we asked them to leave. I would say they did great. It wasn't their fault we waited so much because it was our fault trying to get these all coordinated. I don't think the work actually happened until December but between the things we had going on, trying to get it scheduled with them, the weather and everything that was involved, I think that was when we had it done. It was a clever effort of trying to get things to work for all parties including the fact that this is at a rental house. We got to make sure the renters are okay of when we come. We went beyond the $99 price of the Big Deal. We bought this knowing that we're going to have tree work done and not knowing even how much it was going to be. We just purchased it knowing we need tree work. We had huge trees that had to be taken down. We did not have any problems. We got exactly what we wanted. For their price, they were better than a couple of other people that we talked to so their price was the best of the people we contacted. When we finally set a date, they were there and they did it.

They did a good job trimming the tree in the front yard and also told us about the other trees that would need trimming. They were courteous and did what they were supposed to do. It took them about an hour to trim the tree.

I didn't really want to write a review because I never hired the company, because it turned out they don't service my area. I asked Angie's List at least SIX TIMES to remove the constant reminders for me to write a review, and each time they said they would. BUT THEY NEVER DID! So I'm writing this meta review in hopes that Angie's will stop bugging me about it. (I was also forced to give an "OVERALL Experience" rating, because "N/A" wasn't an option. Just ignore that "D" rating).

In mid-June, I called DLC Arbor to get an estimate to grind a stump in my yard. A couple of days after I received the estimate, I called to schedule the work. I was told that they were busy and someone would call in 2-3 weeks to schedule the service. At the end of the third week, I had heard nothing so I called to find out what the status was. Because no one answered I left a message with my name and return phone number. After another week still no response from DLC Arbor. I called again, left another message, and still got no response. If they don't want my business, I'll gladly find some other company that does.

All team members were polite, professionally dressed, and constantly working from start to finish. All actions thru to the mulching of the cut branches was completed without any delays, and the company owner even drove by to see how the job was going. Clearly an organization that values their customers first and foremost.
