It went great. Sonny is an amazing problem solver! Then his crew was highly professional. Everyone showed up when they said they would, did what they said they would and treated the property with respect. It was a very messy type of job but they kept a remarkably clean job site. I intend on using them again for some landscaping projects in the near future. I wholeheartedly recommend them!

Very well. Sonni was very pleasant to work with. He was present and patient with our questions, process, decision making, and helpful in identifying needs and vision for our landscape. I was impressed with his willingness to forgo the plans (if we wanted) when we were ambivalent about moving into action (the night before transformation on our yard was to begin). His vision for design and knowledge with the materials (plants, labor, water-wise planning, skills to work with people and coordinate so many factors) was superb! Sonni, also, was very responsive to questions and needs that arose in the process. The project was actually done at the time that he'd originally talked about it being started. We were glad for this and were in a position to be flexible with when things could happen. We did not realize coming into this how much things would cost or what our budget would buy. We did go up from our original plan in what we would afford and this was stretching. Sonni was very willing to work with us though and supported us to do the work we could do ourselves (we put in the mulch and will plant in stages: smaller plants in May). Design Exteriors really did the foundational hard work. We really enjoy our restful space that is a HUGE burden off our back as our yard is enjoyable, much easier to maintain, and is saving our fence from further water damage. The men who worked for him directly were great to work with and were respectful and very helpful: considerate of us, our property, and our kids; empowering us with what to consider in our choices; and helpful in how to maintain things on our own. It was a good experience working with Sonni and his men. There were several and the two that we worked with most directly: Enrique and Eduardo. Thank you to all of you. The project went great. Sonny worked with us to create a design / materials that was exactly what we wanted and fit within our budget. He started the project immediately and completed it within a few days; the guys that did the work were very friendly and did a good job of cleaning up after themselves. The finished product was outstanding and truly better than expected.

We met with many vendors and chose Design Exteriors because of both the creative vision of the landscape designer and the fair price. Sonny, the designer, worked with us to design the best possible solution given our budget. His professional experience was valuable in designing an elegant landscaping solution and long term approach. Originally I had some 'wild' ideas about what I would like to do in the front yard but Sonny was able to provide guidance and recommendations, and work together with us to create the design. Design Exteriors communicated frequently with us throughout the process, and was professional and punctual. They also demonstrated a committment to quality, and did whatever was necessary to make sure we were satisfied with the landscaping and brick wall.

I confess to have trusted all his so called A ratings on Angie's List that I wasn't concerned that this was going to be a scam. The upshot is that I trusted Angie's List's rating over sound business practices for which I've practiced for over 40 years. and quot; Get it in writing.and quot; I'm terribly disappointed not only in this debolcle with the masonry firm but with Angie's list as well.And furthermore I'm disappointed in the fact that when you ask for and quot;The cost of service,and quot; above I can't add a decimal to indicate its true cost.

Sonny never came by to see the site, only his foreman. Seems to know a lot and quote seemed somewhat reasonable but he wan't very good at communication and dropped the ball. Never heard back from him.

I never used this company but they did come out looked at pb and gave me an estimate. I like what he said but chose Apex Plumbing to fit it

It went extremely well. We worked with Sonny Shoe bridge and his team. They were professional, easy to deal with, reasonably priced. The projected started on schedule, was completed within the estimated time frame, and turned out every bit what we had hoped for. We are extremely satisfied and recommend Design Exteriors without reservation.

I had a sump pump in a window well that was not discharging far enough from the window well. Design Exteriors tied the sump pump discharge and two downspouts into an underground drainage system that drains in a better location. Sonny walked me through his recommendation and provided a very detailed quote. I was very excited that Design Exteriors did this type of work (I couldn't find any other non-plumbing contractors who did this) and that Design Exteriors (and Sonny) appeared to have a lot of experience and to know what they were doing. Sonny's team was very professional and did a great job. I am very pleased with the finished product

We contracted with Design Exteriors to replace a faulty sump pump line. Sonny was very thorough in explaining what materials would be used. He also explained exactly what would be done, as the job entailed also including connecting a downspout from the house to this line and a partial removal of our flagstone walkway. The crew that did the work was very professional, and did a great job! They repaired everything to our satisfaction. I would recommend Design Exteriors to anyone needing the services they provide.

I had noticed that there was what appeared to be water damage inside of my home with bubbled and loose paint/drywall and was unsure what the root cause was. I had several people out to assess the issue. Design Exteriors was the only company to discover that it was not just my water heater routing through my chimney and saturating the bricks that was the issue but also the fact that my furnace was routing through the chimney and causing further damage. Three additional companies came out and did NOT discover that the furnace was causing part of the issue. These other companies only looked at what I thought the root cause was and went no further. Design Exteriors was not only thorough in their assessment and estimate, but they were also thorough in how they fixed the issue. Although other companies quoted me less money to "fix" the issue, I felt these other companies weren't taking care of the entire problem the way Design Exteriors did. Design Exteriors fixed the problem COMPLETELY. Other companies wanted to take shortcuts so as to come in with a better price. Design Exteriors took one full day to fix the issue completely and followed up with me to be sure that the work they did was thorough and to my satisfaction. This is an honest company that does good work.

I left a message for Sonny to return my call and in less than an hour he called back. We spoke briefly and he agreed to get back to me after returning to his office and looking my property up on google. He called while I was at church. We got together on the phone after I returned. He was very informative and upfront with his season going into high gear. Not knowing what this sort of work usually costs, I found that my present budget was not sufficient. I know have an idea of design costs and a starting place for cost of executing the design. I appreciate his professionalism and would be glad to work with him when I have more resources.

Sonny was very responsive to my initial call, even though he said he was on vacation. I told him we had a landscape design already prepared by a landscape architect, and asked him if he would be able to build it. He professed his interest and said he would get back to me when he returned from vacation. I sent him the design via email, and he still seemed very interested. Then when he got back from vacation there delays in his ability to meet with us. When we were finally able to set up a visit, he acted as if he had never seen our existing design, was highly critical of it, and kept talking about his decades of experience, as if only his design ideas had value. He left saying he'd get back to me with a price, but 15 minutes later called and said he wasn't interested. All in all a big waste of time.

Once my case rose to the top of Sonny's schedule, he was very attentive to the project. He was always available when I contacted him, passionate about creating aesthetically pleasing "curb appeal", prompt, flexible when my budget limitations were concerned, a good listener regarding my preferences, quick to make things right if they didn't turn out as planned, generally pleasant and easy to work with. Payments were spread out so that I only paid for work as it was done. Most importantly, I am delighted with the final result! The transformation of my aged house is amazing and simply beautiful. All the craftsmen and professionals who work with Design Exteriors have high standards of excellence.

Last year, I called numerous other landscaping companies and had bad experiences: there were various no-shows for appointments that were set up, no return calls for messages left, price estimates that were crazy ridiculously expensive, insistence I needed to replace all the current bricks with pavers. I held my breath when I started the process again this year, hoping things would be different. I am SO very grateful I called and discovered Sonny's company this year. I can't say enough praising Sonny, and his crew Eduardo, and Enrique. Sonny is good-humored, ethical, fair, hard-working, good at communicating, and was wonderful to work with planning details of the job. His crew did excellent work and also were good communicating with me. I definitely will contact Sonny for any future landscaping projects that I need done. I am thrilled to have found him.

Purchased a promo voucher on angies list ofered by Design Exteriors. I then sent email detailing landscaping services needed, and requesting date for initial consultation. Received an email saying he would be in touch early the following week To schedule. Nothing. I sent another email with proposed dates to meet. After 6 days still no response to my second email. The lack of communication seems very unprofessional. I'm now requesting refund on voucher.

They did very good, high-quality work. I've received compliments from neighbors on how excellent the ground cover looks. Here's the unusual part: I had not signed the contract yet, or even scheduled a day with the company to have the work done. I just came home from work one day, and it was done. I went ahead and sent in a check for the work at the price that was on the (unsigned)contract, as they did a good job, and no one could say it wasn't prompt! I look forward to seeing what kind of design they come up with for the patio and yard in the spring.

Sonny was very responsive to any concerns or issues that arose during the extensive project. He patiently explored alternatives and never just settled for the most convenient option. He has an extensive collection of workmen to accomplish his creative designs and expected them to live up to his high quality standards. His attention to detail re workmanship was overall exceptional, as if he were working on his own home.

Great. Sonny came out and gave me ideas but was open to the way I wanted to do things. His workers then came out and did a terrific job. They'll be back doing maintenance so that this out of control situation never happens again.

Exterior desin did a great job reapiring an exterior brick wall. They were professional, ontime, detail oriented, and overall did a great job. I would use them again.

The service was outstanding. They all showed up on time, and were very courteous and professional. I could tell that they were very knowledgeable, and they knew what they were doing. They matched up the colors very well. I would definitely recommend them.

I received numerous bids for the work and most companies weren't great at being responsive. Fortunately, I saw Design Landscapes here on Angie's List and they were great throughout. I spoke with Sonny on the phone about what I needed and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. They were easy to schedule with and Eduardo came out to perform the estimate which they returned promptly. Eduardo and his team completed the work on the 10th of November where the day started out around 60 degrees and fell all the way into the teens. They finished the work and I was amazed by their clean-up job. I will definitely use them in the future.
