College Hunks Hauling Junk & College Hunks Moving

The price was better than a couple other places I checked. They were able to fit almost everything in one truck. They worked quickly.

Incredible experience! Austin and Nikk were punctual and worked for almost 3 hours hauling out things like a refrigerator and large projection TV from the basement, mattresses, dressers, sectional couch and more! It was a huge job and they did the whole thing in a very timely manner with not one complaint! They were very cordial and hard working. I have used this company before and each time it has been a great experience. This by far was the largest amount I have had hauled out. They even delivered the first truck full to Goodwill and immediately came back for more. It was truly worth the money! ThanksAustin and Nikk!

These guys rock. It's the second time we've used them (wasn't an AL member the first time). Especially for young guys, they were exceptionally professional, friendly, and worked their butts off. I have no idea how many trips up and down my basement stairs they made, but I never heard a single grumble or complaint. It took about two hours to load up the truck. The load included, among many other items, at least two dozen cartons of books - very heavy. Also, a loveseat, dressers, two dining room tables (don't ask), boxes of clothing, and tons of miscellaneous stuff destined for donation. They didn't leave a single scratch or scuff on any of the walls or doorways. The price was... good enough. Having used them before, I didn't shop for many alternatives. I'm sure there are cheaper services available, but for the quality and efficiency of the work performed, it was more than fair. It would have taken us days to do what they did in two hours, and we would have gone through a case of Advil in the process. Assuming all the franchises operate to the same standards, I'll hire them again when we get moved to a new city.

Upon calling, the receptionist was prompt answering the phone; she was pleasant and informative. She said she believed she could get someone out to help me on the next day, however the cost she quoted was $90/hr...I believe that was for one man and it would require two. I don't recall if there was a minimum number of hours. Regardless that was a lot higher rate than others I'd seen, so I did not use them.

They emailed a confirmation, called before arriving, arrived on time. Brian and Paul were very good workers - they walked through, gave me the estimate, then took all of the items to Goodwill. It was a great experience. I would use them again. My items filled an 8x8x10 truck to the top, so it would have taken a huge number of car trips plus several of the items would not have fit in my car anyway. I really liked not having to carry the furniture downstairs for them.

I cannot stress enough how nice it was to get all the junk out of my house in such an easy way. Didn't have to drag it out to the end of the driveway, or front porch. I just pointed to an item and they did the rest. I didn't honestly believe the brochures (burned too many times) at first about how they ran their business, but hoped for someone to just take the junk. *I'm a believer now. I cannot say enough good things about them.*I will call them each and every time I need items hauled away.

We were moving out of our house after 11 years and we have a lot of junk and things to donate. After another donation service told us that they were not accepting large donations, we found these guys on the Goodwill website. After my husband called a couple days prior to when we needed them to show up and asked for a pick up at 1pm on the day in question. They were to pick up junk, pick up donations and help load the moving truck. It was stated that we were on a tight time frame and we needed them to be there no later than 1pm and we were told, no a problem, we will see you then. The day comes and there is no confirmation call, 1pm comes and goes, no call as to what is going on. Around 1:30 we call to find out what is going on. We get a call back and are told, we overbooked the day and we are running late but should be there shortly. Shortly is supposedly 45 minutes which would have been 2:15.... Well, shortly turns out to be them showing up at 4:00pm.. there were no other calls keeping us updated on the delays. there was no offer to discount the service since they were running so late, there was no communication at all on thier part.... By the time they finally showed up, we had the moving truck loaded by ourselves and we had made 9 runs to Goodwill getting rid of most of the things to be donated because we had no idea if they were actually going to show up at all..... (all we had left was the couch) When the guys finally got there - they were professional and quick but we were so p***** by that point it didn't matter.... We called customer service and they p***** us off even more with their comment "well- we always quote a window of time in case we are running late or overbook the day. It is not our fault, at least they showed up" I can tell you when I called them several weeks before the move - I specifically asked if there was "a window" like the cable company and I was told no, you ask for a specific time and we are there at the time you need. We make it simpole for you. There was no offer of a discount on services, not even an apology which to us was just unacceptable. In the end, we got rid of the stuff but it was a lot more stressful than it should have beeen because their lack of communication. Would i recommend them to friends of mine... No, I would not. Would we use them again, no we would not....

The hauling service was as advertised. Did not have to lift a hand. They were in and out without disturbing a thing. It was a Clean, fast, as promised service.

Their price was fair. I was very much satisfied with their service. I would recommend them to others. I would use them again in the future.

Items to be hauled away included bi-fold aluminum doors, scrap medal, 2x4's, some pvc and medal piping, a cement splash block, some branches, etc, etc. Initially our plan was to do it ourselves until I had shoulder surgery. If we did it ourselves we planned on renting a 20 cubic yard roll-off dumpster (our guestimate; which may have been more than what we needed), with taxes, delivery and/or fuel charges that be around $450 just for the dumpster.... we’re in our late 50’s early 60’s and had to do all the heavy lifting. After my surgery, I scheduled an appointment on-line on Wednesday with College Hunks for an 11:30am appointment the following day (Thursday morning). I was amazed....true to their word, we received a phone call 20-30 minutes before their arrival. They were on time, very professional, got the work done quickly and did an outstanding job!! College Hunks quoted us $397 and they did all the work and a remarkable job. It was an obvious win for us; we will definitely use College Hunks again.

They took away a bunch of stuff that we didn’t have use for as it was broken or whatever. They are the only ones that would take it away. Regarding the pricing I have nothing to compare it to.

They did a great job. They were quick. I was very pleased.

Dan and Joel were absolutely wonderful. They were on time, explained company policies and pricing in advance of services performed, and took care of everything we needed done. They were true ambassadors for College Hunks and I would use College Hunks again in a heart beat.

This was a great experience. I called on Saturday and had an appointment for the following day. In addition to being on time, they actually called me when they finished their first job and arranged to do my junk removal earlier in the day which was great. The guys were professional and efficient. They moved alot of furniture/junk in about 30 minutes from various areas of my house. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend. I thought the charge was very reasonable considering they hauled away several pieces of heavy furniture plus went into the crawl space to retrieve chairs that were stored under the house.

Super responsive from the time I called to the time they left. Excellent service and follow up. They got straight to the job at hand. Quick ast and very careful when moving items out of my house, the hunks very nice and professional. The estimate I did for myself from there website was a little off from the actual. They reviewed the charges first thing before they moved everything to make sure I was comfortable with their fees. I was very happy with that. I'd recommend having the estimate done over the phone and not using their estimate tool from their site.

The two guys that showed up were very professional and worked extremely fast and hard. Left the area very clean as well.

This is the second time we used them and they were professional, polite and got everything we identified packed away in the truck. They eyeballed what we had and gave us an estimate before doing any loading. Great job, guys!

I called the toll-free number for CHHJ on a holiday. The customer service rep took my info and description of the job, answered my questions and made an appointment for the next morning. The crew of 2 men called ahead to tell me they would be here within 30 minutes. They arrived promptly, gave me a price quote and an Angie's List discount, and hauled away my junk. Very quick, pleasant, prompt, and professional. I will use them again.

The crew arrived on time and called ahead. They did an estimate on site and it was very reasonable. We authorized the work on the spot, and they completed the work in a very short amount of time. We were very pleased overall.
