Description of Work: I originally called this company for an estimate to change out a drain pipe leading from the kitchen sink, through the floor into the basement, as pipe is 50 years old and easy to access from the unfinished laundry room. Before the tech got there, I was called out on an emergency job for my company. So I explained exactly what work I wanted performed to my 24 year old daughter and she received the tech into my home and showed the tech the work I wanted to be estimated. The tech then called me while I was on my emergency call - I again repeated the instructions that my daughter had already given him, and told him I wanted an estimate to change out the drain pipe from the kitchen, to the basement, and I authorized him to replace the sealed clean-out plug on that drain pipe which was easily accessed in the unfinished laundry room directly leading from kitchen sink, as the previous homeowners had sealed it shut. He mislead me on the phone, told me that he would remove and replace the clean-out plug on the drain pipe in the basement. By the time I got back home, I had a $5.00 P-Trap installed under my sink on the main floor and a charge to my credit card for $322.00. I never received a written estimate to change out the pipe in question to date, nor did the tech do the work that I instructed him to do on the phone. I personally have experience in the construction industry as an electrician for over 25 years, but I did not have the correct pipe wrench available to perform that simple task of changing out the clean-out plug, which is what I was led to believe the guy did, and when I got back home, I discovered that a new plastic P-Trap was installed under the kitchen sink with one of their LABELS plastered on it and a jar of some "drain maintainer" for which I was also charged an outrageous price for... and was left with instructions to use this "maintainer" for 5 days straight to keep the drain from re-clogging. THE DRAIN WASN'T CLOGGED TO BEGIN WITH! All I really wanted was an estimate to change out the galvanized drain pipe from the kitchen sink to the basement clean out. Sometimes you would just rather pay someone else to perform a job you distaste, but as the old addage goes.... if you want a job done right, do it yourself. I would have been better off not calling Brothers at all.

Description of Work: Brother's Plumbing came out to look at one of my rental properties. They reviewed the pipe that had been reported with a leak. After Brother's Plumbing looked at the pipe they told me it was condensation and no repairs were needed. I had needed to snake the sewer line and since they were already at the property I asked if they could complete the other job. The plumber said no problem and worked until after 6:00 that night to complete the job.

Description of Work: I used the services of Brothers Plumbing & Heating for heating and air conditioning system maintenance. Their last visit to my house was on 27th of November for winterization of my furnace. They also repaired and cleaned a humidifier system that is attached to the heater.

Description of Work: I've used Brothers on two other occasions, having spent over $1,000.00 on previous visits. This time around, I accidentally ran over a sprinkler head, and being a single mom and not knowing how to fix it, I called Brothers to help me. Additionally, a neighbor told me I had a leak in my sprinkler system because water ran constant from my lawn onto the street. I was planning on asking them to find the leak for me, as my neighbor had volunteered to help me dig up the pipe and make the repair.

Description of Work: I called for them to replace the shower handle and cartridge.

Description of Work: First, our hall toilet almost overflowed, then suddenly all the water in the bowl disappeared. We went to the basement and discovered some water leaking down the wall and we were worried that we had a burst pipe. My husband called another company first (one we have used twice before) and they could not come to our house for 5 days! We were already upset and worried about our problem and then we were just annoyed with that company. I had a flyer and a coupon from Brother's so my husband called and they could come over ANY TIME, amazing. My husband made the appt for when we would both be home and Matt showed up right on time (i.e. at the start of the 2-hour window they gave us). We both looked at the issues and he cut into the ceiling of the basement, and he discovered that whoever had installed that toilet had not seated it right, so water was overflowing out from under the toilet into the floor. All he had to do was re-seat the toilet.

Description of Work: I mangled the copper hot water line while trying to replace a dish washer. Rather than run the risk of ruining my new wood floors I elected to request a plumber from Brothers. I had used them before when installing a gas line and they were both through and reasonable. Normally I am very careful about who I choose to come into my home and go through at least four bids from different companies before choosing one.

Description of Work: I requested a routine maintenance service for my furnace. I have used Brothers Plumbing in the past and have been very pleased.

Description of Work: Water line to the new refrigerator needed a different valve attachment. I thought I could do it myself but decided not to since I couldn't find the fridge water line cutoff and so I had to have the water to the whole house turned off. Yes, totally a rookie move. But I'm a single mom and was taking time off from work to take care of this so I needed help. I called Brother's from finding them on Angie's and they said they would be at the house at 3:00 and came at 1:00 instead, which was GREAT! The service wasn't cheap but I felt that they did their best to give me my money's worth. They showed me where to find the cutoff valve, checked the line all the way under the house to make sure it wasn't leaking. (it failed to work well with the old fridge) and of course they changed the connection for the new fridge. They also left $10 off coupons for any other service in the future. They are open 7-days a week and don't charge extra for emergency calls. That's huge!

Description of Work: Poor presentation, no assessment or evaluation of the problem at all, but immediately gave me his fees without even knowing what the problem was. This company should be taken off of your very poor list or that long list of plumbers who just want to take your money & run with it.

Description of Work: THEY FIXED A PIPE IN MY SPRINKLER SYSTEM. THEY ALSO CHECKED THE AIR CONDITIONER AND LET ME KNOW THAT IT WAS OKAY.

Description of Work: They came out & repaired our air conditioner. They removed a blown transformer & then cycled the fan only, a/c, & heat. We requested them to perform a complete check on the a/c.
