Description of Work: Changed out one breaker. I was charged 250.00 for this on breaker. I went to Home Depot the next day and it was 2.99. Talked to the boss and he told me they had to charge that much to cover there liability. Bull. Will never ever have them back. POOR SERVICE, Crappy CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT USE THEM. Read their feed backs I'm not the only one this has happened too.

Went very well.

Description of Work: Replaced a $70 motor & cleaned out a cooling tube. Then the technician stated that the furnace needed replacing and quoted us $4,500. Because we were so shocked by the cost of the job he just performed, we did not go through Brothers, and it was a good thing because we had another HVAC replace our furnace for $1,600!

Customer, I agree with you, our prices are expensive. There is a lot of expense involved in operating a quality business. Are you comparing apples to apples in your price comparison? We called the city of Brighton and found that there was not a permit issued for your furnace installation. It is against the law to install a furnace without a permit. To pull a permit the contractor must supply proof of insurance and should be licensed to do the installation. This provides a third party to look the job over to make sure that the installation of the gas furnace was installed to a minimum standard. Without this permit and inspection the installation may not be adequately installed and could cause personal injury or damage. We are licensed in each city that we do work in and pull the required permits on all jobs. We are also insured so that if our technician gets injured at your home or if there are any other issues we will take care of it. We also ask you to compare the quality of the equipment, the warranties and guarantees that you have with the new furnace v. what you would have received with our installation. In addition, we take many steps to make sure we are providing you with a quality technician in your home that you can feel safe with. All of our technicians go through very strict hiring process. They are background checked, drug tested, physically tested. They constantly trained to provide the best services that the industry has to offer. To operate a quality business in this day and age is very expensive. We are a quality service company who have been around for 32 years. We will be here in the future to honor our guarantees. Description of Work: I called Brothers to replace the contactor for the A/C Friday morning. Dave was very nice. Seemed to check out the situation. Replaced the contactor. Then went inside to check the "Delta T" what ever that was. Told me the return air duct was way too small. This is an 18 y/o unit - don't you think someone would notice an undersized air return duct? Talked about replacing the furnace before 6/2013 when dire "green" requirements come into play. With it being 97 outside...I was glad my A/C now worked. I was happy until late in the afternoon. The A/C quit. Immediately called Brothers. They could get a technician out late Saturday. I bitched...guy showed up around noon. My husband returned from a business trip to find no A/C and the new contactor "chattering" endlessly. The technician showed up & said the contactor shorted out and the disconnect shorted out even tho the fuses in the disconnect were intact. AND the breakers were still in place. He then told us there was nothing he could do as it was an electrical problem & he wasn't an electrician! Huh??? Wait a minute. Was Dave, the 1st guy, an electricain? I mean he replaced an electrical component. This second guy just kept saying everything was shorted out, but he wasn't an electrician. Everything worked OK with the exception of a sticky contactor. I could go out there & whap it one with a screwdriver to get it to engage. But we felt it should be replaced. Now everything was shorted??? The 2nd "technician" would not do or explain a darn thing other than give us a cost estimate to replace the whole unit - $7200. Thanks, Brothers. My husband is an electrical engineer. Becaused he was pretty PO'd with Brothers he moved himself to look the system over. Wow! There's a little timer that is bad. That timer being bad caused the contacotor to chatter relentlessly. That chatter caused arcing which left marks on the new contactor which the technician diagnosed as a short. The so callled short in the disconnect box? It looked very old, not recent. And could very well have been caused from just age. And the so-called non electrician went to far as to misread his voltmeter. And we discovered the blower motor is on its last legs. Could that have been caused by the misdiagnosis? Who knows. The best Brothers can do is send an electrician over on Monday. And I know he'll say he can't do anything because it's an A/C problem. So I'll contact another company to replace the blower motor tomorrow. My husband will replace the $12 timer tomorrow. We should be back in business. Jeez, can Brothers look beyond their nose? Obviously not. It's an old system. Just replace it. I'm old too...just put me on an ice chunk & let me float off into the Arctic Ocean! My house is old...just buy a new one. Same philosophy as Brothers.

Description of Work: I have been using Brother's Plumbing for several years and overall have had good experience with them. Today I requested for an estimate to replace my sewer line. They wanted to charge $45 to come out and give a bid. Every other company I have coming to give a bid are not charging to do so. I was shocked that they would charge this especially since I've been a loyal customer for years.

I WAS VERY FRUSTRATED BECAUSE THE A PLUMBER CAME OUT ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS, WHICH COST A LOT OF MONEY, BUT NONE OF THEM WERE EVER ABLE TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PROBLEM. SO I SPENT OVER $1000.00 AND STILL HAD NO SOLUTION AND TWO BACKED UP TOILETS.
