It was a good experience. They were nice and neat around my home. He was prompt.

The repair person made an extra effort to find the problem which was not readily evident because it was a short that required removal of a micorwave/oven unit. He also fixed a loose panel that was held together with duct tape and was not part of the job. He cleaned up after himself and made sure the microwave was working properly. He saved my buying a new microwave/oven unit.

The first thing you need to know is that Best charges what I feel to be an outrageous amount for a "trip charge." I think it was roughly $80 for each appliance, and there was no discounting due to the fact that I had two appliances being repaired simultaneously. Unlike a lot of repair shops that I've dealt with, that trip fee doesn't go to reduce the bill if any work is performed. It's just their upfront fee. When I first called the scheduler, they made me give her copious information about the problems and the exact model numbers of the appliances. When I could only come up with 11 digits of a 16 digit model number she castigated me and told me that they may not have "enough information" (despite the fact that 11 alphanumeric digits can provide more than a quadrillion bits of information). I thought with all that information they would be able to fix the problem in one trip. No dice. When the guy first came out, he hadn't brought any of the required parts to fix the problems that I described. I understand that might happen if you give them a general description of a problem ("Uh, it's not working."), but I gave them a very specific description of common problems including one that was merely a replacement of a worn-out part that I had already identified. So we had to schedule a second trip for him to actually install the parts. When he came the second time, he fixed the dishwasher, but only then realized that he didn't have the right parts to fix the stove. He claimed that "Viking changed the parts but didn't tell them." I find that a little hard to believe. Finally, on the third trip, he fixed the stove. I will say that they were generally very prompt and always showed up exactly when they said they would. A day or two days before they sent out an automated email for you to confirm that you'd be home and allowing you to pick an appointment time. That system seemed to work well. The quality of the repairs seems to be decent. I notice a little more gas smell when the burners light than before, but I'm not sure that's the fault of the repairman. The dishwasher repairs seem to work fine, but the tolerances of the repaired parts aren't quite as nice as when it came from the factory. I'm told that Best is one of the few options when you're repairing higher-end appliances, but I'm going to do a little more research next time.

He was able to replace the part quickly. There was no mess to clean up afterward and he was quite pleasant to converse with while the work was being done. A switch came loose a couple of days later and we had to call him back. He replaced the switch at no extra charge.

The serviceman came once, stated that the oven was working fine and diagnosed a cooktop burner. He did research prices to replace the burner. The next time my oven wasn't working (about 1 week later) I called back. He stated it was a greasy switch, that it happened all the time with these Thermador wall ovens, and that they always disconnected the switch with no problems. Why didn't he check the switch the first time? I paid him to disconnect the switch and then they sent me a bill for the second service call. I said I wouldn't pay it since they should have fixed the oven the first time because, according to the technician, "It happens all the time."

Excellent! On time. Diagnosed the problem right away. No problems with the repair.

I called when my fridge/freezer wouldn't cool or freeze. The service tech came two days later and diagnosed that the compressor had seized and they would have to order a new one. I could have paid Express Freight but I have another refrigerator so I didn't require that service. It took 4 business days to get the new compressor and the new unit has now been installed to my satisfaction.

Scheduling was very easy, workman showed promptly but required a return trip to install part. Installation took a left turn when I later discovered he damaged the dryer while working on the washing machine. I called the office and he was back at the house within a couple hours. He resisted replacing the damaged part and instead seemed determined to mickey-mouse a repair. I didn't feel like arguing further and agreed just to get him out of the house. I'd use Best again, but not with this particular serviceman.

The repairman was on time and completed the job efficiently. From phone contact for scheduling to the repair work, we've seldom had better service.

Tech arrived on time and did a great job. The price was right. There is no need to call anyone else.

The company was good at returning calls to set up an appointment. The person on the phone was actually knowledgeable about problems with appliances. Tyler Z. was terrific. He was also on time, polite, and was able to tell me a lot about makes and models that could be counted on for reliability.

Their service was prompt. They had to come back with an additional part. I would use them again.

THE REPAIRMAN ARRIVED ON TIME. HE WAS CLEAR AND UPFRONT ON THE ESTIMATED REPAIRS. HE FINISHED THE WORK IN A TIMELY MANNER AND LEFT THE WORK AREA VERY CLEAN.

BEST SERVICE HAS COME TO OUR HOUSE SEVERAL TIMES FOR REPAIRS ON ALL OUR MAJOR APPLIANCES. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND HAVE ALWAYS FIXED THE PROBLEM THE FIRST TIME.

WE WERE HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE & THE PROMPTNESS OF THE COMPANY. THEY SEEMED TO KNOW A LOT ABOUT THE WORKINGS OF THE FRIDGE; HOWEVER, THE FRIDGE BROKE DOWN AGAIN A WEEK LATER, WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. THE SECOND REPAIR FIXED THE PROBLEM & IT HAS BEEN WORKING EVER SINCE.
