The Whirlpool web site was confusing about scheduling a warranty repair on line. We wound up with two appointments. The Best Service Company representative corrected the problem with the scheduled service call and got us an earlier appointment. The repairman called prior to the visit and arrived on time. He removed the glass that was probably there from manufacturing or possibly from a broken glass that broke from the heat of drying. He also instructed me on how to check a filter for foreign materials. All of the company representatives both on the phone and in person were polite and professional. I will use them for future appliance repair.

Was having trouble finding a service provider to repair my ice machine in the freezer and not located in the door of my GE profile refrigerator. Best Service was able to repair it. The technician arrived in the designated window of time and was able to determine that our water source to the refrigerator had been shut off by the previous owner, thereby preventing the unnecessary replacement of our ice maker AND the water valve to the refrigerator, which was much more expensive. He performed a thorough diagnostic and found our condenser fan was not working properly, allowing the frig to overheat and waste energy and money. He returned two days later to repair said fan with the same punctualism. The total cost was for the fan parts and labor, not the extra work he performed. My only concern was the scheduling aspect through the company and not with the technician: instead off setting a pre-ordained time for appointment, you are given a half day window. You then receive an email the day before the day appointment, narrowing it down to two hours, but have to confirm via that same email for that time window. I had to set aside a full half day to have it repaired essentially. I DID like that they emailed a picture of the technician, so you know who to expect at your door. He also got along famously with my beloved but ill-behaved barking dogs and petted them to calm them down. I would use them in the future for repairs.

I contacted them after contacting several other appliance servicing companies - none of which knew how to work on this type of high-end appliance. (Finally I called Jenn-Air directly to get a factory-authorized repair center.) I was able to send them a detailed enough description over email and phone that they could diagnose the issue even before coming out. I worked with general manager Tom Hankins and he was very professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and helpful.

I bought a brand new whirlpool fridge from Lowes and within the first year the control panel on the front of the fridge for the ice and water controls quit working. It was still under warranty of course, so Best Service was sent out to replace the bad parts. It took 5, maybe 10 minutes at the most to fix. They showed up on time and were friendly enough. Another year later, the same part quit working. I called Best first and they said it would be over $500 for the diagnostic trip, labor, and parts. I of course brought up the fact that this was the 2nd time in 2.5 years that the same part had broken, so clearly there is an issue with it as the fridge is still virtually brand new. So I called whirlpool customer service and was told "Sorry, it is not under warranty anymore, there is nothing we can do for you." This was clearly not the answer I wanted to hear since all other aspects of the fridge have been fine but the same part has now gone bad twice. In my eyes it was either a bad part that shoud be recalled or I simply got a lemon fridge. As a consumer, you should not have to spend hundreds of dollars each year paying for an extended warranty for the same part that keeps going bad. I then called whirlpool's corporate office directly and explained what was going on. They agreed with what I was saying and offered to send me the replacement parts free of charge and all I would have to do is pay a company to come out and install them. The lady I spoke with also gave me her direct phone number and said should these parts fail a third time, call me directly and we will address the issue further. I then called Best back to get a quote on just coming out and replacing the parts for me. I was told by the young man on the phone that he did not know what the labor costs were and would have that department call me back with a quote. 2 days went by and no call. I called again and spoke with a lady that said she did not see any notes in my file for a call back. Great customer service, NOT. She then informed me it would be $180 for someone to come out for the 5-10 minutes and install the parts. WOW, I am in the wrong business! I was floored that they would charge this kind of money for doing such little work. Moral of the story...they are a decent company when your appliance is under warranty and whirlpool is paying them their fee but when there is no warranty, you better have deep pockets. Needless to say, I will be shopping around!

They answered my call immediately and had an appointment scheduled for two days out. David was very professional and it was amazing how fast he worked. He was able to diagnose the problem with my refrigerator and give me a price on parts within about 10 minutes. Between the refrigerator and fixing my washing machine I think he was done in less than one hour. Now the washing machine is extremely quite and no more leaks. They were great to work with and I think very reasonably priced.

First they came out and said that I need to replace a door sensor. We did that and that costed me $350 including the part. Before I did that though I asked the tech about the plan if that solution doesn't work. He said that it will work for sure. Everything went well. I found the company on Angie's List, called them and someone actually answered the phone. This was big plus. The woman made an appointment which was within a couple of days of my call. The repairman arrived on time, was efficient and polite.
Description of Work: The repairman replaced a part on my mother's washing machine which controls how the machine senses that the lid is closed. The part was cracked, so the machine wouldn't spin because it thought the lid was up. It was a simple diagnosis and repair.

First repair job: Our professional seriese DCS oven/stove was having issues. A control knob was broken, and there appeard to be a short that was causing the igniters to continually fire. Keven came out and did an inspection of the problem. He was punctual and professional. He was able to determine exactly what parts were needed to do the repair, but the parts needed to be ordered from the manufacture. He gave an estimated delivery time for the parts of 7 days and said he would return once the parts were in to complete the repair. He called exactly a week later scheduled the return appointment and completed the job efficiently and professionally. Stove worked great! Second repair: Our washer stopped draining and we thought for sure the pump had gone out. Flint arrived and knew what the issue was right away. Apparently our type of washer has an issues with small articles of clothing getting out of the drum and into the workings under the drum. These articles then get caught in the drain and other parts of the washer. It is, according to him a pretty common issue with floating drum HTE washers. He removed several socks and a couple of other small items. He also provided recommendations for putting small items in a garment bag and making sure we don't over fill the washer. Both service calls were great experiences and we would not hesitate to call on Best again, nor to recommend them to our friends. A great service company!

Our warranty (1 year) had expired by 2 months. First had another company affiliated with the company where we bought our clothes washer. It was too complicated for the repairman to fix the appliance. Figured we had no choice and contacted the manufacturer Whirlpool which gave us the name of a certified Whirlpool-repair company, Best Services. Best sent out a technician. Within 10 minutes Jim diagnosed the problem. Our machine was a newer European style machine and made a lot of noise which we thought was normal for that machine. Jim said that our machine should not be as noisy as it was. We called Whirlpool and they agreed to replace the part, a tub bearing, and pay for the service. We were fortunate that Best also sent Jim out to repair the machine. He knew what he was doing and it works great --- and the loud noise is gone. Jim did a fantastic job, and was very professional. We also have to applaud Whirlpool and their rep, Nakicha, for recognizing that we had a lemon and made it right. My advice: stick with repair companies certified by manufacturer.

The repairman was punctual and courteous, and found the problem within 1/2 hour. He pointed out that the condenser was the problem. There was a manufacturer's defect that worked its way through the system, causing it to malfunction. The fridge is only 2 years old. It's a GE side-by-side. The repairman said the part would cost $900 to replace. At that point I decided it would be better to buy a new fridge that I like that is NOT a GE. However, through some online searching and a shopping trip to Sears, I found out that a new condenser would only cost under $300. Furthermore, when I called the Sears service center, they said they would replace the part for $291, including cost of part, service call and labor. I will not be calling BEST appliance service again in the future. Although I liked the repair guy, I don't like being ripped off.
Description of Work: Repairman came to troubleshoot my GE refrigerator, which had stopped working. Well, it sort of works, but doesn't stay cool enough to keep the milk and meat from spoiling.

Called Best Service & they were able to send a technician the next day. Mike, the technician, figured out the problem quickly but had to order parts. He also informed me that at this altitude the self-clean mode was set for more time than necessary. That would shorten the life of the fan & thermostat in the future. Mike came back a week later, exactly when he said the parts would be in. Best Service is always clean & efficient. I have used them on two other service calls & they not only fix the problem but they tell you how to avoid problems & service calls.

My Fisher Paykel dryer was working, but with no heat. Using the fisher paykel website to identify a local service provider, I was directed to the Best Service Company website. I was able to request a service order, select an appointment date and receive confirmation online. I was notified by email one day prior to my service visit of the 2 hour time slot that Best Service Company would arrive. The day of the visit, I was contact by phone by Kevin 15 minutes prior to his arrival which was beneficial because I was able to come home from work to meet him. Kevin showed up and from my description of the issue prior to his arrival, he had already identified possible solutions. He removed the lint trap and the trap casing and removed excess lint. He clearly explained how often to perform this routine and the root cause of the issue. When the lint trap and casing become full, the dryer automatically shuts off the heating mechanism as a safety feature. Kevin then removed the front of the dryer and showed me the reset switch on the heating element that had been tripped. He warned that the dryer should always be unplugged before this was ever attempted. Upon resetting the switch and restoring power to the dryer, the dryer performed without issue. Upon resolution, Kevin took my credit card payment and delivered an email receipt to me prior to departure. Once again, Best Service Company excelled at delivering quality service while minimizing the impacts to my already busy schedule.

The first tim ethey cam eout I told thenm that I had this washer for 18 years. I really hope dthat the repairperson would be able to fix whatever it was. It was great., right from the beginning they said they had to save the washer. They did a great job. We used them once after. I loved the way that they respond. They were wonderful.
