I particularly like the fact that I was call when the repairman was on the way and was texted his picture. I also got a follow-up call from his office to make sure I was satisfied with the work.

I used the chat feature on the website during the evening when our garage lost power and had an appointment promptly scheduled for the next day. Power was restored and the reason for the outage identified (this was on a Friday). Further work was needed. I was provided an estimate and we moved forward on the work, which was performed on the following Monday.

Being an engineer I had it pretty much diagnosed. He spent 20 minutes replacing a $50 part (I looked it up) and charged me $569. Way out of line. Pass on this company.

Jeff Maldonado of Applewood Plumbing did an outstanding job. He listened to me and then analyzed the potential causes for the loud thumping of pipes in the wall behind my newly installed hot water heater. He determined that unusually high water pressure was building up after toilets were flushed or the washing machine was used. Replacing a failing regulator solved that problem. Jeff also found a leaking pipe above the regulator that had not been leaking two weeks ago when the hot water heater was installed. He fixed that while he was replacing the regulator valve. Jeff also noticed that a long stretch of pipe had come loose from its supports, probably while all the work was being done over the last couple of weeks. He put new supports in and assured me that this pipe would not becoming loose again in the future. Jeff did a terrific job and I would highly recommend him. He is sharp and has great customer relation skills too. Well worth the cost of using Applewood.

Fantastic! Cannot say enough good things. Booked this appointment the night before. Got call in the morning saying technician was on the way. Arrived promptly and was friendly, professional, and competent. My system is tricky but he was very familiar with it and fixed my system quickly. He also pointed out a potential problem with water flow but no pressure to remediate it. He taught me how to maintain my ancient system to avoid future problems. We will not go anywhere else ever again except Applewood!

This was an estimate only visit but Jeff demonstrated a thorough understanding of my request and came up with a very workable solution. Jeff was very responsive to my input and I feel worked out a solid plan to accomplish the job.

I don't really need to explain this picture to a plumber for someone to see it is wrong. Leaving the old gate valve in the line when I paid top dollar for the new ball valve is a point of resistance on my main water supply. The gate valve is also very old, so it will continue to cause corrosion, and will likely start leaking in the near future. The day of install for this service, the noise from the sawing of the pipe was very loud. Having not done many big repairs like this to a house before, I figured this was normal. Today Applewood sent another, more experienced, plumber to fix the work they started. I didn't hear a sound, and he also needed to completely replace the prior plumbers work to make this a professional job. I asked why he was so quiet doing his repair than the first plumber was. He said if he was any louder that, then the original plumber didn't have the correct tools. A close quarters saw was required. The first plumber made so much noise because he cut my main water line with the wrong saw. My pipes then leaked for 8 days before I noticed the damages it caused. The time it took from the pictured install to the correction of that has been two weeks exactly. Eight days after the flawed first install, my basement was flooded. I lost an entire wall of drywall and paint, carpet and padding, and several storage boxes of books and assorted items. I have had Applewood plumbing in my home 3 times. I have had two different plumbers from other companies in my home. I have had a restoration company in my home. In the past two weeks. I have worked hours moving around my storage to make room for these service calls and sacrificed rooms in my house for that. Applewood is still expecting me to accept a $200 credit for the issues they have caused. I have paid them $500 for this job. I now owe a $1000 deductible for my home owners insurance. I have other damages from storage items. My time has been considerably wasted. This is a home owners nightmare, and I cannot believe it has come from a 4.7 star service. I consider myself to be an even tempered person on my best days. I have been patient with Applewood over the last two weeks and I am glad their work is finally done correctly. But I have lost my patience because of the effort it has taken me to discover all that has happened here on my own. Applewood is well aware, and has admitted their complicity in this series of events. If they cannot reconcile this with compensatory remuneration, I will be forced to begin small claims proceeding or contact an attorney for further reclamation of what Applewood has caused in my home since I made the mistake of calling them up to fix my plumbing. The Better Business Bureau may be able to help also. It sounds like the company may offer me a refund of the initial job itself with nothing further considered for the flooding. They asked for 2-3 days to discuss it with the company president. They have offered a settlement for my insurance deductible, but have still not come through with their commitment on that. I'll update if they decide to be honorable and act with integrity.

Service was good but price was outlandish. $3800 to replace water heater. I saw a water leak and got concerned, call Applewood, technician recommended replacement, I was worried about possible water damage and accepted outrageous quote, my bad but still think they took advantage of me.

Tristin was punctual, knowledgeable and professional. He was efficient in his work and did an excellent job. I'd have him back again. They are not the cheapest, but Applewood does quality work with great customer service.
