We have used Applewood several times and have received excellent service. Ben was very professional. He did a great job fixing our outdoor plug. He speaks very highly of Applewood which builds confidence in Applewood and in Ben as well. I would highly recommend applewood and Ben as an expert electrician. Thank you for a great job!

We have always used Applewood Plumbing in the past, but after our most recent experience, we will never use them again. Our sewer line at a rental property backed up, and Applewood came out to clear it. They returned the next day with a camera, and when the line backed up again, we were told that the entire 87-foot sewer line needed to be replaced. The quote we received was a staggering $47,000, which included a "relief trench" in the front yard to divert sewage until the line could be replaced. This trench alone seemed unnecessary, was going to cost $1500, and not a standard practice, according to other companies we consulted. We had spent $9,000 just two years ago with Applewood to replace a section of the sewer line and add an access point in the yard. Unfortunately, they left about 4 feet of old piping between the house and the section they replaced. If they had replaced that 4 feet of line, we wouldn't have to tear out and replace the work they did just two years ago. Applewood offered a $7,000 credit for the previous work, bringing the quote down to $40,000, but this was still far more expensive than other companies. After getting quotes from other reputable companies, we found the cost to replace the entire 87-foot line ranged from $24,000 to $30,000—a significant difference. Additionally, these companies informed us of another access point in the line that had been previously repaired and covered up, which Applewood never mentioned. This raises serious doubts about whether the original repair work two years ago was even necessary. This was a big job, but we feel completely let down by Applewood Plumbing and question the integrity of their business practices. I will absolutely never use Applewood for another service again.

Ty always does a wonderful job at our house. All heat outlets were checked and made sure they worked. All parts of our boiler were checked and were great especially since this was our yearly annual checkup. Ty is always pleasant and answers all questions and explains any questions and work. We did the "Earlybird" yearly inspection.

Not sure what I can say that the other 800 upset 'customers' haven't expressed already. But I'll try... I have found myself in need of a gas leak test as Excel was out and after fixing their leaking equipment without performing any further testing declared that I must get a licensed individual to certify that my home was leak free. I was a bit shocked but okay. I called Applewood and spoke to a fantastic lady that offered to complete a leak test and if anything was found we would discuss next steps. They could even be over just after lunch the very next day. I made arrangements to have the technician met at my home as I am currently out of town. It started going south the next day. They missed the start of the 1 to 3 appointment. I did however get a call around 2 explaining that they were behind and maybe 3 or 4. Since I had placed my trust and can understand that nothing goes to schedule, I waited. Around 4 pm their person said that he could help but he would need $1300 dollars. I blew a gasket. A leak test takes 10 minutes tops to perform. This would be the industry accepted practice to determine if there is a problem and if so, how severe. I asked this professional if he had performed a leak test and he responded no. He went on to say that this is at least a 2 day problem and he would need to pull a permit to perform repairs. He then started listing all the many things my two appliance 30 foot pipe system needs replaced . He made that assertion without testing. He stated he just knew that everything was going to fail.... I just thank God that I was not someone's grandparent freezing in there home with nowhere else to turn. He said some rather profane things at my reaction. I stopped and asked him what I owed him. He actually took my credit card info and left. I called Applewood in a very angry frame of mind. Again the gal that answered the phone deserves a medal. I can only imagine how rotten her day must be. I asked to speak to Joe the plumbers manager. I was told that I would get a call back in up to 3 business days. I hung up as I was in no frame if mind to speak to a human at that point. I called back after taking many very deep breaths and apologized to the service rep for my earlier outburst. I explained that I am looking for what was promised and that I would like to speak to a manager. I did promise this review if I had to wait 3 days I got my call back tonight. That was a fascinating conversation. It went on for a very long time. I'll sum up and yes I'm paraphrasing. 'Applewood has been in business for over 50 years and always behave ethically anresponsibly.. im sorry our rep promised something we are not going raccomplish. We train our people ro the highest standard but phone reps should not be discussing sevice as they just dont know anything about it. She then doubled down on the $1300 but apologized for the way their professional behaved. She was not inclined to perform the services agreed upon nor was she able to give me back my wasted day. Besides I had already made arrangements for the testing to be performed.' If your still with me after all that, it is my recommendation to call anyone else at any price instead of the professionals at Applewood.

Superb experience with Applewood Plumbing, Heating and Electric fixing my swamp cooler My swamp cooler started making a lot of very ugly noise, like it was chewing up its own metal. I called several different companies to check it out and tell me what to do. I got 3 bids to replace the swamp cooler and 2 bids to replace the motor. Then Applewood showed up, in the person of John Jones. John went up to the swamp cooler, thoroughly checked everything out in detail. He discovered that the problem was caused by 1 loose set screw. He tightened that screw, and suddenly the swamp cooler was working like a charm! The bill was around $200, much less than the $800 +/- for a motor replacement or $3,000 - $5,000 to replace the the whole unit. I will be using Applewood again, for my swamp cooler and other things. The thorough examination of the unit and the attention to detail make them winners in my book!

First, Applewood was the only HVAC place in the area that could come faster than 2 weeks out. Second, Luke S. was the best AC person I've ever dealt with, and I've been a homeowner for more than 15 years, including in Texas! Friendly, informative, knowledgeable, and a great communicator. Didn't BS me at all. Told me the issue, made sure I understood, patiently addressed all my questions about my options, and was extremely respectful of my house and sweet with my dog. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

On Christmas day at 4:30 p.m. we noticed that our thermostat was not working as it was displaying a code that indicated it needed service/replacement. We called Applewood at 6:00 a.m. the following morning and by 7:45 a.m. a technician was at our house. We were impressed. Prior to the tech's arrival my 77-year old husband had already gone to Home Depot to purchase a new thermostat and he had begun intalling it when by the time the technician arrived. The technician was so kind as he finished the job and did the set up for us and we were only charged the service call fee of $29.00!! We were so grateful and by 8:30 a.m. we had heat once again. We are extremely happy with Applewood and cannot praise the company enough.
