Troubleshooted major problem with boiler (including water heating system within boiler). Arrived within agreed time. When problem was diagnosed a company truck arrived with the needed part (part needed was unusual, so understandable that the part was not on the repairman's truck). Repair was made efficiently; significant time was taken to be sure that the system was working. Work area was left clean. Time was taken by repairman (Mark) to discuss problem with me and what to do to prevent future problems. Very pleasant and courteous. Respectful of my property. Used all of the safety precautions related to COVID.

Dan opened the breaker box and immediately found a loose ground wire. He tighten the screw to the ground bus and the circuit tested OK. Dan's a great guy to work with!

The service was great! Brian was on time and provided a written estimate of the work I wanted done. He also threw in a coupon I didn't know was available. He completed the light fixture replacement quickly. I am pleased and would definitely go to Applewood again for electrical services.

Dan was wonderful! I appreciated how patient and kind he was, especially given the snowy road conditions that day and the extra time it took him to get to my house. He was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain technical details to me. I would definitely hire him again!

My experiences with Applewood have gone from bad to worse each time. Today I literally could not get the annual heating inspection that I paid for scheduled because they refused to schedule it, even a month or so out. I literally was going to try and have the most open availability for whatever time of day they wanted, and they REFUSED to schedule an appointment. They had so much double-speak and canned responses that it was nauseating—things that don’t even make sense. “We’re trying to take care of ALL our clients.” Yet you won’t even schedule an appointment for me for a service I already paid for? Apparently you mean all your OTHER clients. “Do you have heat?” Yes, I have heat, and I completely understand people with no heat are a priority. Yet I don’t understand how that means you now refuse to schedule an inspection for a customer who was roped into your ridiculous membership plan. Eleven months ago when the technician was here, and I paid thousands of dollars in heater repair, he cross-sold me on the membership plan. Now, when I go to do what he said, and have it inspected a year later, they literally REFUSE to schedule the service. Because it’s cold season now, and people will be without heat, so they won’t schedule any inspections EXCEPT that they will add you to what amounts to a “de-prioritization” list— where apparently they have some magical foresight that no one will be without heat, and then at that time they might schedule a heating inspection. Yet I paid for a service that now I can’t get scheduled! They then had the nerve to imply that I should have called in August. Well, if I’d known that was what was “required,” believe you me, I would have called in August! It sucks to be a relatively new homeowner that is still learning the ropes and takes an inspector at his word. My follow-up experiences with Applewood electrician services was horrible. I would not recommend Applewood, and they should refund money to people if they literally cannot schedule the service they paid for.

Samuel did an excellent job with our annual furnace cleaning and maintenance check up. He was competent, courteous and professional. I will definitely use Applewood again for all of our HVAC needs!

Pleasant and responsive and completed the inspection of my furnace and water heater for any potential problems.

As always, this visit went very well. I received a quote for replacing the two malfunctioning parts in the furnace as well as a discounted quote for a new, more reliable furnace. I chose the latter, and the furnace was here and installed in three days. Fantastic! In addition to the HVAC installer, I would also like to commend the electrician for showing me that there is an unused, second circuit already installed in the garage that I can use for my hobby shop equipment simply by adding an outlet. No expensive wiring is required from the house to the detached garage! And there was no bill for his time to explore the breaker panel in the house and trace the wires from there to the garage. I've used Applewood for years, and they're always terrific.

Tyler came in a quickly diagnosed the problem, restarted the furnace and made recommendations. He was extremely professional and courteous. We won’t hesitate to contact Applewood in the future.

They offer good coupons and they do good work. I have been using them for years. They are all professionally trained and they send an email of a picture and information of the person they are sending out. They wear shoe covers and are wonderful to work with. They are a little pricey but they are worth it. I would definitely recommend them.

He was unable to find the problem on the first visit. Thought it would take a lot more time and money ($1,200) in order to figure it out. Our Bldg. & Grounds person didn't think that sounded quite right, so we hired another company with more of a commercial background.

Had big water leak and a couple of inches of water in my basement. Called Applewood at 11 AM and expressed some urgency. They had Matt and Eric out by early afternoon, quickly diagnosed the source of the leak, being a broken lead drain pipe from upstairs, and had things fixed in a couple of hours. The work seemed a little expensive, but in reality another person would not have found and fixed the problem so quickly or come out so soon plus they were nice to deal with, so no big complaints. Also they took good Covid precautions.

Dan H. Came out to help us with diagnosing an electrical problem that turned into a major project once we dug into it. The whole way he explained what he recommended and why, showed us the problems and worked with our schedule when the job slipped into a second day (due to scale of project). This is our second electrical job with Applewood and they did great work both times.

awesome no hassle polite and knowledgable

Billy came to my house to help with a sewer line leak I had in the basement. This was a rather urgent matter, as my house is on the market and I did not want those in showings to see this. I also wanted an inspection to go smoothly. Billy went above and beyond. He gave other helpful advice on repairs to help me through inspection. He was very kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and COVID safe!!! Applewood is the BEST company and is so professional but very sincere at the same time. Thank you, Applewood and especially Billy & his apprentice.

My house is three years old. Ac would not function correctly and my nest said that the r wire was not receiving any power. I was charged for two different things that I did not need amounting to ridiculous amount of money that I later found out that I did not need to spend. It makes it even more frustrating that I’m a single homeowner and don’t have a lot of money just throw at these projects. I spoke to two additional companies afterwards regarding the situation and was told that not only did I overpay, but I did not need as much work done as was told to me by Rachel. I guess you live and you learn!

Brian was very nice. He showed me what he planned to and asked me if that was okay. Then he showed me what he did and why he did it that way. I learned a lot!

Applewood is definitely the most reliable, expert, and professional HVAC service I have ever worked with. Will always keep working with Applewood!
