Anaya concrete did a wonderful job for my parents. They were really happy. There were tree roots that were lifting up the old cement, they dug those out. There was a fence post that was wobbly due to the unstable old concrete and they fixed that. I would have no problem recommending them at all.

This went better than I planned. I am very satisfied and I will keep there name and number and refer anyone who needs concrete work.
Description of Work: Pulled up the concrete in the garage and redid it due to massive cracking. They did all of this in one day. They showed up at 7:00 AM and stayed till 8:00 PM. I couldn't believe it. I would recommend them to anyone. We did a lot of research before we hired them and I am so glad with the results.

The person estimating and presenting the bid was prompt and professional and price fairly close to a previous bid. Several days later, I was given last minute (night before) notice that I could get this done the next day. I agreed, as I had not been assigned a date. I was not as impressed with the execution of the plan, as there did not seem to be the same understanding of why this area was problematic. There could have been more oversight by Mr. Anaya, as I was left with communicating with some workers who spoke only Spanish, a foreman who was bilingual but not always available. This was especially a problem when they returned the second day to remove the form and clean up. The form was placed on my property, but at the property line with a neighbor, as I requested. The intent was to leave a drainage area, and the contract said, "Remove form boards and fill form board area with soil." When I got out to see how it was going, the workers were pulling the rock covering of my neighbor's yard into the indented area left after the board was removed. I told them no and to put it back, but not all was replaced and they had a hard time understanding that the rock was not my property to use. I don't blame them, but this is where the responsible party was not following the plan. So I'm left with an empty indentation. I contacted Mr. Anaya and asked why soil was not used to fill , as stated in contract. He said, "we never bring in dirt but use the backfill." There had been no excavation, so no backfill was available, obviously! There is also a gate that scrapes, which the estimator had said would be trimmed on bottom if necessary, and no response was given to that request. Overall, the attention to detail and specific needs of customer were not great.

Well, it was good that they returned my call the very next day as I left a message on the 4th of July. The lady who contacted me was very nice but I was very displeased with their service. I had checked their website and no where does it state a minimum. I wanted a twelve feet long side walk with a 7 x 7 slab which would be around 90sq ft. Well, the first thing out her mouth was they don't do jobs that small. A job about $600 dollars is too little? I also wanted to get an estimation on the demolition and concreting my driveway as well. I probably would not have had them do the job of the driveway the same time of my sidewalk, but a business relationship would have started. But, I was upset at the fact that she said the job was too small that I dismissed their business as they do not advertise a minimum. They advertise Commercial and Residential. For not doing a $600 job, costed them really about $3600. Let me be clear that I am rating them on the service they do not provide as they do not advertise a minimum. I look at their pictures on their website and it looks like the do jobs that small, which I don't think 90 sq ft is really small. As for their product and actual quality of work is unknown to me as they did not accept my job.

I spoke with the technician a few days prior to the job and we agreed to his proposal to arrive on Friday evening so the patio could be power washed prior to the caulking and sealant application on Saturday AM. However the plans got changed when he called on Friday mid-day to say he would not make it out to power wash but would arrive very early on Saturday (6:30) to begin. He arrived at 7 AM Saturday morning and set-up his power wash equipment and began the job. After washing the patio, he informed me he would be back in a few hours giving the patio some time to dry before applying the caulking, we also spoke about the details and process of the job. When he returned, the patio was still wet in places, so he used a broom to sweep the water thin so it would dry quicker giving him time to apply the caulk. Before he began to apply the sealant on the entire concrete surface, he applied a small bit of sealant to an inconspicuous spot to check for bubbles and color changes to concrete. At this time the patio was beginning to get hot from the sun and he told me that as he starts to apply the sealant it might create little bubbles, which is not a bad thing, but he needed me to know this. As it turns out, the sealant did produce many small bubbles throughout the entire patio surface, he recommended that we allow the bubbles to pop on their own and to not manually pop them as this would create a visible ring where the bubble was. He also recommended that we refrain from using the patio for a few days so the sealant has time to cure and the bubbles have time to pop on their own. In summary, I had a great experience with this technician. He kept me informed during the ENTIRE process and told me of what issues might occur. He gave me insight on what I could do to areas that had imperfections due to poor concrete pouring, stamping, and application of release from a prior concrete contractor. If I had to say anything negative to say, I would've preferred he stuck to the original plan to power wash on Friday evening so he didn't have to cram everything on Saturday morning and he could've worked in the coolness of the early morning thus possibly eliminating all the bubbles that were produced by the hot sun.
Description of Work: Caulked between concrete patio and house to prevent moisture from seeping in between and applied a concrete sealant to patio. A slip-resistant aggregate (sharks-tooth) was mixed into the sealant to give the patio a slip-resistant texture.

My experience with Anaya concrete was fabulous! I called several companies for estimates and Anaya returned my call the same day. They were competitively priced, fair and honest. They returned my call when they said they would, they showed up for the job on time and did a fabulous job. My nine year old stamped concrete patio looks band new again. Jerry is such a nice guy. He knows his stuff, is honest and just a great person all around. It was wonderful working with him. I will use them again next year and recommend them to everyone I know! Thanks Anaya Concrete and thank you Jerry!

The process went quickly and they workmen were finished earlier than expected. The old steps were removed and the new ones were replaced and look perfect. All debris was cleaned up and hauled away. Luis Anaya reviewed the project with me and every thing went smoothly. In the late fall they gave me an estimated but recommended that I wait until the weather warmed up to complete the job. I called in the Spring and they came out promptly and performed the work. Great small business and professional crew.

I contacted the company and within days had a solid estimate on the cost of my patio. Jerry was very knowledgable about the product and process. The drawing for my HOA and estimate were completed quickly. I scheduled the job a few weeks out. The workers were here on time every day. Luis and the crew were friendly and quickly went to work. The day the concrete was poured, it started to rain. They covered the patio with tarps and had to wait for the concrete to set. They worked late to make sure that every step was done. While they weren't the lowest bid, I appreciated their willingness to explain each of the steps and their attention to detail. The crew were very careful about where they stepped so that they didn't damage my flowering plants. Luis addressed my questions and made minor modifications as needed. I loved working with all members of the Anaya Concrete crew. My patio is beautiful and I've spent hours out back since the job was completed. I highly recommend working with them. The patio is exactly what I wanted and Anaya Concrete made the process easy.

The estimate went well and they showed up on time. They were very helpful in suggesting a better way to redo the sidewalk, which made the outcome more beautiful without adding more expense as well as providing a method to permanently fix a downspout issue I had next to the sidewalk. They were able to schedule the work in about two weeks and luckily the weather held out. On the scheduled day of the work they were about 45 minutes late, however, once on site the work went very fast. Tearout went quickly and noise level was minimum. Form work went just a quickly and they had me check their work and the layout each time before moving onto the next step in the process. I felt very involved and everything went like clock work until the time of the pour. It was scheduled for 2pm that same day and ended up being delayed until 4:30pm. That said the workers stayed until it was completed, which was very late into the evening. Again they let me know the status every step of the way. They caution taped off the driveway so no one would step accidently on the wet concrete in the dark and said they would be back the next day to remove the forms and finish up. The next afternoon they came and removed the forms (in the rain) and left my front yard and driveway area all cleaned up and looking amazing. Overall I couldn't be more pleased with their work or with they way the made me feel involved with the project.

I contacted Anaya during the colder months of last year because we needed some foundation work done on our addition and it was going to require demoing a section of the driveway anyway, since the driveway was getting old and crumbling it made sense to try to replace the driveway at the same time. Luis from Anaya advised waiting for spring so that the concrete would cure properly. Fast forward to April and Luis contacted me to schedule the work. our first scheduled date (April 22nd) had to be pushed back because of the late snow, but only a week to April 29th. The crew that came out was quick and efficient. They had the demolition and most of the forms placed on Monday, and were done pouring the new concrete on Tuesday. During the demolition and forms setting Luis suggested a number of improvements to my initial request that greatly improved drainage, safety (less sharp inclines), and ease of access (removing a step into the garage). While the suggestions did carry and extra cost and were made after work was started I did not in any way feel like they were "addons" or pressured to accept them. The suggestions were not couched in terms of how bad things would be if I did not accept them, but in how they would be beneficial if I did. one of the suggestions (a curb around the addition) I was somewhat uncertain on, but went with Luis suggestion because the practical benefits as opposed to the aesthetic detraction. However once complete I'm glad I accepted his advice as the curb looks quite a bit better than the old design did. I am very pleased with Anaya's work.

Priscillano was quick to respond to my call and come out and give me a bid. He is a very nice person and I believe he tries and wants to make things right if you experience problems. However, within two weeks of the concrete pour, we had a small hole appear in our driveway. Priscillano's brother, I believe, came out and repaired the hole but not to our satisfaction so Priscillano came back out and patched the hole. Looks better but it is still a patch. We called him back in March of 2013 as a hairline crack started in our front porch. He assured us that Anaya uses mesh, etc. and the crack would not continue to grow. He also recommended we have the concrete sealed which he arranged (note...the stuff they sprayed on can be smelled inside and out for days even by our neighbors). We also have a crack starting at the base of our front porch step. I have doubts about the quality of this job. After doing research and talking to others, I believe the concrete was poured too late on a very hot summer day making the concrete dry too quickly. I don't believe we should be seeing these problems this soon after the job was completed. Since we have a year warranty on labor, I will be inspecting our concrete on a regular basis and will take whatever means I have to in order to be sure we get what we paid for up to and including tearing it out and starting over.

Based on the numerous positive reviews on Angie's List, I purchased a voucher for $100 discount on new driveway. Jerry came at the agreed time and measured the existing driveway space to provide the quote for the job. At that time we had a tree growing through the concrete in the space that needed to be demolished and poured. The job was delayed until the tree service company (DLC, also a company I chose from Angie's List) could remove the tree and grind the stump so that we could have a new flat surface. Once the tree had been removed, Jerry communicated well with us to schedule the job around the spring snowstorms we received. On the appointed day, the crew arrived promptly to demolish the old driveway. They went beyond the call of duty by hauling away some other concrete we had broken out from a bathroom floor in addition to the driveway concrete. We had also requested that they pile any dirt they removed from the driveway as they did the grading by the foundation in front of the house to correct grading and drainage problems there. They again went beyond what had been requested by piling the dirt as it needed to be placed rather than just making a pile for us to spread. We have a gate on the side of the garage that is used to take the trash can to the street for pickup. The new driveway needed to be 4" higher than the concrete beside the garage for the proper drainage grade. This meant there would be a curb to hop with the trash can, and also that the gate would not swing open as it swings out. Mr. Anaya volunteered to cut the bottom of the gate so it would clear the driveway, and when I said we could do some sort of ramp he volunteered to do a ramp for us at no additional charge. The new driveway turned out beautifully as did the ramp. There was a wooden walkway that went from the driveway to the front porch of the house that had to be moved to allow a proper edge on the new driveway. Once it was moved we decided we did not care to have it put back in place. When Jerry came on the following Saturday to confirm our satisfaction with the job and to collect payment, we asked him jokingly if he would haul it away for us in his pickup. He did. We could not be happier with the service we received in every stage of this project and we would not hesitate to recommend Anaya Concrete to others.

I obtained 4 estimates total. Pricilliano's (from Anaya) was not the most expensive or the least expensive, but I felt he was knowledgable about concrete work. He was courteous and I felt I could trust him to do a good job. He also received a lot of good reviews on Angie's list. Because our house is the last on the street at the bottom of a sloping street, the section we were addiing the new concrete for was a natural drainage area, although it never had standing water. (This area has gravel, but the underlying landscape fabric was so old and torn that it always got overrun with weeds and was basically a mess to look at.) Princilliano suggested placing 2 PVC pipes from behind the gate at the end of the new driveway area, running them under the concrete and out the front of the drive area that ends up in the grass. Additionally there is a downspout that comes down the wall next to the garage opening which also used to drain into the area where we had the new concrete section poured. Because we did not want the downspout draining on top of the concrete, again, a PVC pipe was run under the driveway. You can bareley see the ends of these 3 pipes sticking out from the front edge of the driveway. The guys are there to rip out the old concrete and prep and pour in new concrete, they are not there to really worry about your grass/plants, etc. Therefore, be aware, that you will have some work to do after you get the new driveway. (I think all concrete companies are like this, not just Anaya.) So we do have 6-7 inch wide areas around all the edges of where the new concrete was poured that we will need to fill in with dirt/grass or sod. Also, if any of your bushes hang over the areas to be worked on, I would suggest that you trim back the bushes yourself...or they will trim them themselves...and I mean they will TRIM them! Also you need to be prepared to keep your cars off of the new concrete for somewhere between 3-5 days...I can't remember. These guys worked fast and hard, and were there long hours. They did a pretty decent job of cleaning up. I would recommend them, and actually have to a few neighbors who have stopped by to admire the new concrete. It looks really nice.
Description of Work: Anaya Concrete replaced our 1985 double car driveway at the end of Oct 2012, added another section so we could park a third car off the street, replaced the short walkway from driveway to front porch, replaced approx 5 very wide steps from the front sidewalk up to the front porch.

I am long overdue in praising the work of Anaya Concrete. After watching my neighbor go through a driveway replacement this past week, I appreciate Anaya's work even more. As a former general contractor, I am very familiar with what quality work looks like and how professionals conduct their business. Anaya Concrete is a class act.. Because the expansive soils of Colorado's front range will virtually guarantee that concrete will crack, I asked Anaya to work with me on doing a little extra work to mitigate the future risks. Rather than give me an open ended bid, Prisciliano worked out a range of pricing depending on what we found after the existing concrete was removed. We were expecting that we would have to remove additional soil and replace it with structural fill before compacting and pouring new concrete. As it turned out however, we discovered that the primary reason the existing concrete cracked was due to very poor soil preparation from the original work, not from the soil condition. That was the good news. The bad news came when the crew began removing the concrete on our (large) porch. What we all expected to find was a regular 4" slab and what we found instead was 12" to 14" of solid concrete. Further complicating the work was the location of two brick columns that were attached to the thick slab. It was a lot of extra and difficult work to remove the slab but they did it. They quickly assessed the problem, discussed all the ramifications with me and went to work. Thanks to the thick slab we were all expecting to lose the brick columns but the guys did everything they could to save them anyway. Much to everyone's surprise, they succeeded. That success wound up saving me an extra $750 in brick work I would not have to pay for later. By the time all the dust settled, the extra work on the porch and the better than expected soil condition under the garage floor and driveway, the final cost actually was at the low end of the original bid range despite the extra time needed to complete the job. Prisciliano provided some great artistic flair ideas on the new walkway which I took and I am happy to report the finished product is the envy of my neighbors. In the final analysis, everyone I came into contact with at Anaya was courteous, respectful, hard working and very good at what they do. The fact that their pricing was highly competitive was icing on the cake. I highly recommend Anaya Concrete without reservation.

Overall it was a excellent experience. Anaya gave some excellent suggestions and was very corporative with answering any questions or concerns I had. They paid a lot of attention to detail, and took great care on the demolition of the existing concrete, not to damage our existing rock siding which came down to the concrete. The actual work and concrete pour was excellent. I talked to several of the workers while they were doing the job and the boss was their during most of the important work. All of the workers seemed very knowledge about what they were doing, friendly and very respectable of the property. I really appreciated their suggestions and the work performed. On the last day when I had some concerns about the way some of rock siding looked now because of the new concrete patio, they quickly offered some solutions and where willing to do some extra work to make the project a complete success and very reasonable. The only remotely negative thing I had was that the date for the project did change several times. After the second visit they made, I went ahead and said I would do it and this was late Aug and I was looking for the last week of September and I said I would have HOA approval by mid September. Anaya put me down for that week and said to call by mid September to make sure I had the approval, other wise the date would need to change. I got the approval and called by mid September. When I called they then said they now had me down for the first week of Oct. I did not complain. Then on Oct 1, I got a call from Anaya saying that due to weather, they were getting delayed and backed up and could not do the project the first week of Oct but could began on Oct 11. Obviously I was hoping for it sooner, but these things do happen and it had actually rained a few days there. They did come out on Oct 11 as promised. I have had other projects with other companies and basically there are legitimate delays and this was relatively minor, and I felt they were giving me the straight story. There work was excellent, the attention to detail, and good follow up and costumer satisfaction. Their price was not the highest I had quoted ,nor the very lowest. I thought it was very reasonable for what I was having done, and I was extremely pleased with the outcome. I would certainly use them again.
Description of Work: We had a concrete patio in front of your house with a three steps leading to the porch that was badly cracked and some of the steps had sunk about 1/2 inch. We decided to replace the entire porch and steps with stamped concrete. I contracted Anaya Concrete. I gave them the approximately color and design that I was requesting. I was however open to any suggestions that they had or other improvements to the overall design. After having a initial visit from Anaya and discussing the colors, they gave me a estimate and I said I would contact them. They had given me several suggestions on how to improve the steps and round it off to give it a more curvy appeal to go along with the the 2 tone color since I wanted a border around a flagstone design to the project. I really appreciated their suggestions and several days later I contacted them and I finally settled on the colors. Anaya came out a second time, because I changed the first color selection and I wanted to make sure that they could incorporated this change and make the design changes that they had suggested for the price they had quoted. They agreed that they could do it for the originally quoted price. On a Thursday the demolished the old patio and steps. Cleaned it all out and did prep work, including plenty of rebarb for new installation. Friday there was no work, and they had previously coordinated this and on Saturday they poured the new concrete. Sunday was off and on Monday the came by to finish up with cleaning off the the concrete and stain it and any touch ups if necessary. I discussed later that day about some additional touch up details that needed to be done because of our rock siding on the house that did not quite match with the new stamped concrete patio and steps. Anaya came by the next day to look over what I was discussing and gave some suggestions and how the siding of the house that came down to the new concrete could be done to give it a more atheistic appeal. He quoted me a very minor extra fee of $50.00 to cover some additional labor and materials and I had the additional work done that day. This little extra work really topped off a already excellent job on the new flagstone designed concrete patio. I was very pleased with their services and the final product.

The project went very well. Mr. Anaya kept us informed and sent pictures because we were on vacation when most of the work was done. His team was professional and punctual. If we did have a question, they answered and addressed the issue. I would not hesitate to recommend him.
