A Better Plumber

Upon contacting L & R Plumbing an appointment was set. On the morning of the appointment Rich gave a phone call to confirm his arrival. Upon his arrival I gave him a tour of the bathrooms and he went to the crawl space area to inspect the problem. Rich explained what he found as a leak from the sewer due to the wing nut plug had rotted away and there were roots that needed removing. He ran the rooter machine to clear out the roots and replaced the plug. Since there was sewege that had spilled in the crawl space he also spread bleach in the area to decrease the potential health concerns and explained what he would recommend I have done to the crawl space to eliminate additional concerns. He also recommended that in the near future it would be wise for me to contact a camera service to locate any breaks in the sewerline. Throughout the process Rich was professional, quick and explained the problems, needs, and what service he was able to complete. I definitely recommend Lord & Reiser Plumbing and will be using this service in the future.

They were able to come out the same day I called. He s punctual, polite, explained things well and very helpful. The whole experience was fantastic and I would definitely hire him again!

We are so happy that we called Land R plumbing. We had 2 toilets running in our home and another plumber had given us a quote of approximately $1000.00 stating that we needed 2 completely new toilets. Rich called us 30 min before his arrival and was in and out in 30 min. He explained to us what was wrong, changed some valves and seals and we were good to go! Lord and Reiser was fantastic! They were quick to get me scheduled for an estimate. When I had some personal conflicts come up, they were able to call another customer and see if they could switch the time slots for me and were punctual getting to my place. I was prepared to (and planning) on replacing my tankless water heater. However, Rich (master plumber) came in, took a look, ran a few tests and was able to figure out the issue. I asked for an estimate on a new water heater anyways, in the chance that the issue I was having comes back, and Rich was able to give me a couple estimates based on a new tankless, both the current size and a bit bigger. All around, super helpful and easy going. If/When I do replace my water heater I will absolutely use them!

Great experience. Rich and his assistant arrived early, got right to work. Rich solved the problem in 45 minutes start to finish. He explained what he was doing every step along the way. Work area was left as clean as it was when he arrived. He and his assistant were friendly and informative. Rich also took time to discuss another potential project and offer some advice. I used an Angie's List coupon I had purchased for a half price service call. Only charge was for the additional quarter hour of labor. The service call coupon and the quarter hour of labor charge came to a total of $65. We were ecstatic to have the problem solved so quickly and so inexpensively. We will use L&R Plumbing again in the future when plumbing needs arise.

The owner and his apprentice were very professional and helpful in resolving this issue. They are very fair and professional and I am 100% satisfied with this experience and would use them again without reservation. It ended up being a bad washer in the pull-out sprayer head that was leaking, which was repaired with no issues. Thanks!

We contacted Rich after seeing the reviews on Angie's List. Our bathtub was draining slowly in our basement bathroom. We live in a stacked condo with another unit above us, and we have experienced sewage/drainage issues in the past because of what we believed to be poor preventative maintenance by our HOA. Rich was prompt and professional. He called on his way as he knew our schedules were tight. I was not at home when he arrived and left my girlfriend to explain the issues. He did the courtesy of speaking with me on the phone while my girlfriend was there so I knew what he was doing/finding. Per Rich there was a branch line stoppage in our tub, and given what we had told him about the past problems, he mentioned branch line stoppages can be caused by main line stoppages backing up. He wrote down his recommendation that we can take to our HOA. After almost 2 months, our tub is draining better than ever and we're more confident in going to our HOA with an informed opinion on preventative maintenance. I arrived home in time to meet him in person and although he had already gone over everything with my girlfriend, he went through the whole thing with me again. My assessment is that he is extremely personable and passionate about his work. Money well spent and I recommend him to anyone.

They came out the same day to check it out. They took the pump apart, and reinstalled it, but it kept making noise and they recommended replacing it. They said they would pick up the parts and let us know when they could replace the pump. They called back about a hour later and said they had the part and wanted to know if they could replace it now. They came over and installed the new pump. The pump seemed a little expensive, but they said we shouldn't have to worry about replacing it again for quite a few years.

One of the two water heaters leaked water on that day. I called the service up and he arrived here on time. Upon inspection, he told me that the entire water heater would have to be replaced since the leaks extend beyond that of the steam relief value. Given the fact the the water heater has not been replaced for nine years, I decided to have it replaced. The estimate he gave me for both the material and labor was around $1100. Due to the urgency of this matter, I accepted it although I believe it's a bit pricey. But I was okay with that. He started buying the new heater and replaced the old one with the new one, and hauled away the old one. The entire job took about three hours. He tested the installation including to make sure there was no gas leaks. He had me looked at it. He replaced the old heater with a new one with less capacity. According to him, it would cut down on the water bill since I would have no need for a new heater with the original capacity. Overall, the entire job went smoothly. The quality of the workmanship was excellent. The service was prompt. The price was okay given the quality and timeliness of service that was given.

Service was great! They came out and we discussed all possible options even when the option was the company making less money. All work was done on time and exactly what was discussed and quoted.

Lord and Reiser responded quickly, were on time, looked neat and were courteous, took time to offer me different configurations I could have with the new four-piece faucet, and cleaned up before they left. They also took a quick look at another minor issue (tub diverter knob had fallen off my year-old Delta faucet) and re-attached it in a flash.

We did not end up using these services because our issue was covered under a warranty. HOWEVER, I would recommend them because the owner that I spoke with spent 20 minutes explaining our issues and what to ask and look for from another plumber. Any other plumbing issues will definately be directed to Lord & Reiser Plumbing. He also spoke with my husband later. All of this time was at no cost to us ( and no pay to him!)

They were very responsive to our call and were able to fit us in that morning. They arrived when they said they would and were very professional and pleasant to have in the house. They explained the problems and what they were doing to fix them. The cost was less than I would have expected for a last minute call.

These guys were fantastic. Arrived on time, got right to work, identified the problem, tried 3-4 times to fix it with the equiptment they had in the truck. It wouldn't work so they had to do a hardware store run. They did not charge me for the time they were on the run and overall the cost was more than reasonable. They fixed the problem and shower works great now.

Very pleased with the work: there were challenges but they resolved all the issues. They took care to not make a mess and cleaned up after themselves. Not all plumbers do that!

Prompt response, repairs were completed quickly and the price was reasonable. I asked a lot of questions and Mr Reiser patiently answered them all.

Rick and Derek were about an hour late because of another emergency call they'd taken that morning. Rick quickly diagnosed the low flow rate to be a problem with the backflow preventer on the water heater. They tackled the two problems in parallel and had them both resolved in about an hour. The only issue, really, was that Rick made it all seem too easy!

the repairman came on time as promised, surveyed the problem, told me approximately how much it would be, fixed the leak and cleaned up his mess before he left. overall, it was a great service experience.

This is the second time I have used L&R (he installed a water softener for me in November of last year), and this visit was equally as professional and prompt. Plumbers are not cheap, and L&R is no exception, but his rates are not padded with extras.

We used a half price service call coupon and L & R came out within 3 days of our call and replaced the disposal. it works fine, very quiet. Satisfied with their work, punctuality, professionalism.

Excellent, all we had to pay was a $50 service charge for his time. He also answered my son's questions about another plumbing issue.

I called Rich on a Thursday or Friday to get pricing on a new water heater. He called me back very quickly and gave me pricing and a lot of helpful advice. I got two other bids and his was comparable to the lower of the other two, and I decided to go with him because he had been so helpful on the phone. We scheduled the work for the upcoming Monday. Rich was very responsive to all of my phone calls and he showed up exactly on time (no 4 hour window or anything like that, just a time he would be there). He removed the old water heater and installed the new one including expansion tank, safety drip pan, and emergency cut off. A part as provided by the manufacturer was not working correctly so Rich substituted in a more expensive one that he had in his truck for no additional charge. He also took care of a few small things around the house while he was here and gave me advice on another project. He did a great job, was very punctual and responsive, very helpful, and overall was great to work with. I would definitely use him again.
