A Better Plumber

Went very smoothly and efficiently.

Pricing was fair and the plumbers got it done very efficiently. The reason that I didn't give an "A" overall rating was that we realized that they out two huge gouges in our wood floors and several surface scratches in my son's room (had to get access through there). We didn't notice this until the morning after they did the work. If you hire them, please make sure that they are respectful of your home.

They arrived right on time, did all of the work efficiently and neatly. Very polite and nice. I have asked them to return to work on some other bathroom plumbing .

Excellent! Rick and I spoke on the phone, I told him this had happened before and I had parts to do a permanent repair. He and his partner showed up right on time and was happy to use my parts to keep the cost down. His hourly rate is fair but on the high side to what I have been charged in the past. On the other hand he was more than fair in how he charged and kept track of time and he used parts I had so I didn't have to return them to the store and he didn't have to charge me for them. This is an old house that has been remodeled several times and because of that no job is simple or straight forward. The work he did brought the kitchen plumbing back up to code and should prevent us from having repeat occurrences of the problem.

The plumbing was not too big of an issue. I was too strong and I did not want to make problems worst when it comes to plumbing so I just called the plumber and asked him to take care of it when it comes to like copper piping. They were really good people and very professional.

So far, so good. I called Lord and Reiser about a bad smell in several rooms in the house. I spoke with either Mr. Lord or Mr. Reiser and he was wonderful. He suggested some possibilities for the problem and recommended that I try the most conservative first. I did, and there has been some improvement. However, I plan to call L&R to make a service call to take a look at the problem. I was very impressed.

It went great! They came and diagnosed the issue right away. The water softener was unhooked, the pipes reconfigured and it was complete. They were in and out in less than an hour.

I bought an angie list big deal for a service call because my water heater pressure valve was leaking. Rich contacted me promptly after I purchased the deal and we set up an appointment. When he came for the appointment he drained the heater, took a look to see if there was any rust or silt in the water and told me I was probably okay not replacing the heater for awhile. I felt that rich was very fair, honest and professional and I would use his services again

We had the company come out first for an estimate on the work to be done. We were quoted anywhere from 750-850 as the estimate for the work, coming out about a week before the service. I had my mom buy new faucets ahead of this work, so everything would be ready when they came. They arrived a little behind schedule, but they were very hard working and got everything done properly. They were neat and careful. My mom was a little worried at first that they might try to take advantage of a senior, but she was put at ease once they were working and completed the job. In the end, it actually cost less than the estimate. We will definitely use them again if ever needed!

They tried to teach my husband what he needed to know to do it fine going forward. Their staff was very courteous, professional and polite. I probably would not be using them again in the future myself since I found a local plumber who has some knowledge that these guys did not have, but I would recommend them to others.

Replaced hot water tank. Excellent service all around. I called a few other plumbers to get a quote, but each one wanted to come by the house first before estimating. Both my wife and I work, and don't have the time to be home for each plumber just to get a quote, then time off for the service to be done. Lord & Reiser gave me a bid over the phone, so I scheduled it. They came to the house on time, discussed the work to be done and brought everything up to code. They removed and disposed of the old water heater. The price was what was quoted over the phone with no additions or up charges. They were courteous, and explained what they were doing along the way. It's great (and rare) to come across a home contractor that is honest, straightforward, and trustworthy. I'll be calling them again with my future plumbing needs.

The guys were right on time and very polite. They completed the work well within the period we had been told. They took time to explain the work and how to maintain the new heater. Their price was certainly the lowest of the companies I called.

They were fast and did a great job cleaning up the mess the toilet had made.

Called late Friday, (it was not an emergency) they came early Monday. They did a great job for less than what other guys would have charged just to look. I know enough about plumbing to know that they did only what was necessary and didn't even try to pad the bill

Rich came out and fixed my disposal the same day I called. Actually within a few hours. He suggested I replace my disposal, which was probably right, but I insisted he fix it instead, so he gladly did that. Of course, I should have followed his advice, but it's holding up well, and I was able to postpone the expense. He also tightened some valves that were leaking. He was very personable, courteous, and professional. I would definitely call him again.

When I'm having someone do work, I like to watch the job get done. It is pretty rare that a contractor can appreciate that, and feel comfortable working and discussing the project with the person that hired them. The guys from Lord & Reiser were great about letting me watch them install the new water heater and they really paid attention to detail every step of the way.

Our shower froze up and we couldn't get any movement at all from the shower handle. L&R came quickly, fixed it efficiently and without any problem. It was great!

We had been having a smell coming from our kitchen sink drain. Another plumber replaced the garbage disposal, but the smell did not go away. When I called Lord & Reiser, I was ready to be told that the plumbing under the sink would have to be taken out and replaced, instead Rich Reiser had me start using a solution of Simple Green. The smell was completely gone in only a couple of days. I had called Lord & Reiser because of their good reviews on Angie's List and I used their certificate for half off a service call. Instead of hundreds of dollars in plumbing costs, Rich solved my problem for $37 and the cost of a bottle of Simple Green! My entire experience with this company was professional and friendly. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

This is the second time they have come. They are great. They are the highest rated in my area on your list and I am not disappointed. They are very nice, professional and that is exactly why I had them out again. They have done a great job and they are on time. They come when they said they will. They explain what they are doing and why they are doing it.

Highly recommend! This is THE ONLY (and I stress THE ONLY) plumbing company we have called to clear the tree roots out of our sewer lines that have not tried to up the price for the service once they arrive at our home. We have called numerous companies regarding their "$99 any drain" clearing specials but once they find our sewer line is an extra 15 feet or so, suddenly the price goes to $400-$500!! Lord & Reiser came out the same day I called, HONORED THE PRICE QUOTED and did a great job. We even used an Angie's List coupon and they honored that. I can't stress enough how great it was to deal with an honest and up-front company for once! Will definitely call this company again - we unfortunately have several huge trees in our yard!
