A Better Plumber

Description of Work: Maitenance plumbing in prep to sell home, including toilet kits, faucet washers, etc.

Description of Work: Kitchen sink pipes leaked into basement ceiling and destroyed a couple of ceiling panels. Rich came out as soon as I called him and fixed the leak in 2 hours. Excellent service.

Description of Work: On Nov. 13, I contacted L&R Plumbing to ask for them to make a quote. At the time, they let me know they were quite busy and may not be able to fit me in. However, the Master Plumber continued and made a reservation for Nov. 14, in the evening (5:30 - 6:30). The time came and went, and no plumber or any contact. A few hours later, I got a call and a voicemail, letting me know they could not make it.

Description of Work: I had a leak in the copper pipe coming into my house through the concrete foundation. The area of concrete was broken away and it was quickly discovered that there was a cold solder joint causing the leak. My appointment with l-r wasn't until Fri. at 10AM, however, Rich recommended his mentor, Phil Strait, who lived closer to me and could get to my situation faster (today - 10/25/12). The work was great and I'm very satisfied.

Description of Work: The guys were very professional. What I liked the most was that I was treated as a homeowner; not a chick who owns a house so lets take advantage. They were receptive to my suggestions. Most of my small leaks were fixed without extra supplies. The big leak, they tried to do a quick fix (at my suggestion) which held for a little while but I will be calling them back for that. Nice folks and I don't trust plumbers but, would spend my money with this company again. Had small leaks on outdoor faucets and handle to a toilet tank. They also fixed a hot water stem that was not put together correctly in the first place. The quick fix was a shower drain. Someone built me a tiled shower but talked me out of using a pan liner. Big mistake. The guys said they would have to dig up the drain but I asked if they could just put a sealant on inside of drain connection. Now they can tear up the floor; can't get around that now. They have my business because of the way I was treated. Are they cheaper? Who knows. But I trust them.

Description of Work: Rich is very professional. They installed a new kitchen faucet and repaired 2 toilets. I would HIGHLY recommend them!

Description of Work: This was a repair for my Church. We were not getting hot water to our sinks in the church in a timely manner. A recent state inspection in conjunction with a pre-school noted the sinks in the classrooms were not reaching the required temperature (103-degrees within 3-minutes ??) for hand washing. In addition in our kitchen we had to run the hotwater for @ 10-min before even getting the hot water. After arriving on-time, he evaluated the problem and quickly noted a mix-valve which was adjusted too much on the cold side. He reviewed the as-builts/blue prints to determine if there might be another cause, but there was not. Also, the low flow aerators in the faucets were restricting the flow too much so that the hot water in the lines took too long to reach the faucet. He replaced the low-flow (0.5 gpm) with a higher flow (2.5 gpm), adjusted the temp so we were within the accepted range for hand washing (he was able to quote the temp range, very knowledgeable of the regulations).
