 + 7 moreThe work described occurred over a 15-year span. Some of it was work done on our home and some on our newly (2007) constructed cabin in central Colorado. It went without a single problem. Within budget. On time. Quality. Flexible scheduling. Friendly. Overall a memorable experience with a humble yet dynamic individual who is totally trustworthy and competent. I am fortunate to have been given the contact info. on this gentleman which came to me via a lumber yard owner (Front Range Lumber, John Granger) a decade and a half ago.
Description of Work: Installation of approx. 700 sq. ft. deck in back yard using Trex brand 'lumber' decking, fir and steel girder support with concrete pilings. Required removal of concrete steps via jackhammer! Installation of redesigned mantle piece in family room. Build, from furnished plans, a uber picnic table from cedar and Trex. Install 750 sq. ft. flooring and stairs using 175 year-old 3/4" mahogany which had been T&G prepped. Because this lumber was precious (formerly the seating at West High football field in Denver)I required that the builder relinquish his requirement to use his contractor in favor of Ben of AAA Construction. It was the only significant requirement I made of the builder but was non-negotiable. Installed shower door, drywall and electrical fixtures in bath.

 + 8 moreIt's beautiful. He is really honest. He doesn't mind re-using what has been removed as long as it is still in good shape. He hauled away all the mess and cleaned up nicely. He goes over his time with you so that you know exactly what he is charging for. If we needed to buy materials he would make me a list and I would go to the store or he would go to his supplier and bring back to the invoice to approve it buy me. I felt fine with leaving my house with him working in it.
Description of Work: He gutted an old 1970's bathroom. Put in ceramic tile floor, redid the ceiling with acoustical tile and new track. He patched some drywall and retextured so it matched the rest of the wall. He also retextured the walls in other areas of the house where I had removed wallpaper. Also he replaced a toilet, vanity and moved some plumbing to make sure it all looked great. He did the electrical in the bathroom. In our kitchen he removed a tile floor. He took out the cabinets that needed to be moved and was very gentle with moving them because he knew I was reusing them. Then he reset the cabinets after the floor was complete. He also redid some electical and new outlets in the kitchen. Installed brand new baseboards. He fixed two doorways that needed to redo the threshold. He also put in new heat vents. Lastly install the appliances in the kitchen.
