The techs are usually on time, profession and polite. They seem knowledgeable and the prices they offer are fair. I would recommend their services to others.

They have very knowledgeable repair people and they don't try to upsell you. They're very neat.

The technician that Gene's sent out was very thorough. Did far more than any furnace cleaner I have ever had. I have used Gene's on other properties. I think they do a great job.

Nick was very honest - he inspected my current furnace and stated it was still in good shape with a lot of life left. Explained that it was running all the time and he indicated several alternatives, i.e. replacing windows and re insulating attic for energy loss that might be occurring but that the furnace itself was not broken or giving out more power than it should. The furnace I have is actually too big for the house, but it still works as designed. Was amazed at his honesty and he didn't push me to buy a furnace just because he needed a sale. He was upfront about everything with the furnace and how I could overcome the furnace running at full capacity by looking at the energy loss that might be occurring in the house first before I proceed with a new furnace which definitely would help but it'd be running higher than usual if I didn't take care of the insulation/windows first. I will definitely recommend this company to others (and I rarely give out recommendations to friends) if one is in the market for a furnace or cooling unit. Will definitely be calling this company up in 5-10 years when I fix my energy loss issues and in need of a furnace at that time. Great company - and great people - Thanks Nick!

Thanks, Ben, for coming out for the initial estimate, and then several more times to answer questions and be a part of the planning process. Your willingness to troubleshoot with us gave us peace of mind. This was a 3-day job that involved outdoor unit placement, the building of an attic platform for the air handler, and the running of ducts through the attic space (in June) to cool the main level. Ben walked us through the placement of vents and returns for optimal functioning and performance, and his crew was very careful to consider aesthetics and create a symmetrical appearance. They were thoughful in protecting our new hardwood floors, and they were great about cleaning up throughout, as well as the end of, the day. In the end, we have a very effective and energy efficient system. The inspector had nothing but glowing remarks and commented that we clearly hired guys who take pride in their work. After learning of the issue, I called Gene's and spoke to Mary who was very pleasant and friendly. My expectation was that they were likely booked solid since the forecast called week full of 90 degree weather and most folks were in the same boat as me learning that something was wrong with their AC. As expected, she informed me that they had a full schedule for the next couple weeks, but that the technicians often will finish a job earlier than expected and can sometimes squeeze customers in on an on-call basis with 30 minutes notice. This was a problem for me since I work an 90 minutes away. At the time, I wasn't entirely sure that my filters weren't the problem since they hadn't been replaced in eons, but wanted to get a place in line in case they weren't the issue. So, as she instructed, I replaced my filters and then called first thing the next morning. She then told me that she could probably set something up for the following day and then told me she would call me in the afternoon to followup. She called as promised and had a appointment time the next day for me. Perry showed up at the promised time. He was very soft spoken, very pleasant and very polite. He removed his shoes before entering the home which I found extremely respectful since we ask all of our guests to not wear there shoes in our home. He then got to work, inspected all of the system that was accessible (i.e. didn't require Sheetrock penetration) diagnosed and resolved the issue. Balancing the system is a very time consuming process taking upwards of 60 minutes. He explained everything he did, taught me a little bit about AC units in general, explained all the caveats of the repair and left. This is the second time I've used Gene's for an HVAC inquiry and the second time I've been supremely impressed. Mary was very pleasant on the phone and Perry also did a fantastic job. The thing that has blown me away the most in my dealings with Gene's is the integrity of the company. The price for the work I found quite reasonable and the fact that they were able to squeeze me in at really a moments notice with a heat wave right around the corner tells me that they don't overbook there technicians, and are more focused on customer service rather than maximizing profits. Outstanding job guys! Keep up the good work!

Showed up promptly at scheduled time. Performed installation as expected. Also took the time to perform a furnace cleaning at no extra cost. Would definitely use them again for annual maintenance actions.

I called Gene's in the morning after discovering that my downstairs furnace was not blowing out heat. Prior to the call I had done some preliminary troubleshooting, but was able to only determine that the thermostat seemed to be working normally and despite the diagnostics lights indicating that the unit was operating normally that furnace blower wasn't turning on . Gene talked me through some logical troubleshooting steps that were effective in isolating the issue. Gene was professional, concise, friendly and an obvious expert at his craft. I find this level of customer service rare these days and it was supremely refreshing. I greatly appreciate Gene's professionalism and willingness to help. Despite this call yielding no profits, I will undoubtedly look to Gene's for HVAC service and will also be referring him to my friends and family.

I was on jury duty and I noticed that my upstairs furnace was making a lot of noise when the unit when it. I only had Thursdays off and Mary set the repair for Thursday morning. I had called that morning to set an appointment up. The tech came right on time and worked on the repair and the general maintainance of both of my units. The tech was very knowlegeable and gave my a choice of replacing the blower motor with a universal part or the factory part . He never pushed the more expensive part. The owner of the company even drove the part to my house ( to cut down on time for the tech) since the tech didn't have the factory part on his truck. The tech was in and out in the time he said it would take to repair and clean my furnaces. The area where the furnaces are was cleaned and vacuumed . What more could you ask for!

The staff was very pleasure and helpful when I called the office for information and and estimated. The staff alerted me to a senior discount they had that was greater than the normally advertised discount. I was able to make an appointment over the phone. They followed up with an in-home survey of the work that needed to be done. Their service rep. returned on the appointment date at the appointed time. The two units were installed and he reviewed with my wife the operating procedures. Both are working as promised. I very much enjoyed the experience of working with Gene's and plan to use Gene's in the future for all my heating and a/c needs.

I would- and will!- recommend Gene's. I called to schedule an annual service check for our furnaces. I very much appreciated the professionalism of the front office when I called to make the appointment, the ease of making said appointment, and the service tech himself on the day of the appointment. I can endorse this company without hesitation!

It went well but it turned out in the end that my unit was just clogged with friggin Cottonwood spores. Lesson to all, this can be handled by you the homeowner with a LOW pressure hose and a little time. Blow water through the fins inside to out, Whala fixed. Cost me 56$ but now I know. The person that came out was knowledgeable aboutt this problem and did addidtional electrical tests to ensure things were working properly..

The reason we called them was because they installed the original unit in this house. We have used them on a couple different emergency occasions, as well as some routine maintenance work. We were blow away with how responsive they were. They provide excellent service and they are outstanding. Their pricing seems to be pretty reasonable.

Everything went really well. They came on time and I think they were pretty honest. I was expecting work on the AC unit, and they told me that I didn't need that.

They recently replaced an employee who gave customers very high estimates, and I think they’re a better company for it.
