Cosmopolitan Cleaning

Carolyn and Robin came at 8:00 A.M. and were here for 2 hours working hard. I kept Carolyn another hour to finish the woodwork she was doing in my kitchen. They were both very nice, professional and hard working. It was well worth the money to have this deep cleaning done in our home. I will call them again in the future.

It was average, although I think their business name may have changed.

We purchased a $139.00 package for 8 hours of cleaning in October, 2012. We originally scheduled a cleaning in early December but, due to a family emergency, it was agreed we could reschedule for the first of the year. January thru March my wife called and left a number of messages in an attempt to get in contact with Cosmopolitan Cleaning and schedule a time. However, her calls were never returned. She was finally able to reach someone this evening (April 8th) though she was rather tersely told it was "after hours" (4:30PM?) She was also told the company had no record of her previous calls, that numerous emails had been sent to my business email address (checked every day and nothing but a "Happy Holidays" message November 15th) and that the coupon we had purchased was now expired. Well, if you can't contact someone to schedule its a little hard to use your coupon! My wife felt she was treated so rudely she is now not interested in having service performed. This was my first purchase of an Angie's List special and, I believe, it may be my last.

I think Cosmopolitan Cleaning Services did an overall good job. There was a family emergency that stopped the extra hours we were going to pay out of pocket. We had paid for 3 hours of work through Angie's List. Overall, Jaime portrayed a very professional attitude towards her work and towards us as homeowners. She is true to her word about wanting to do a good job for us. She did a great job, and we would recommend her to others.

The cleaning went great. I was especially pleased with the kitchen deep clean. I use copious amounts of coconut and olive oil for cooking and the cleaner removed any evidence of grease from the cooktop. The "gunk" that accumulates on the oven fan was gone and the crumbs that were caught between tight fitting appliances were gone too. The rest of the house was cleaned just as well. Everything was sparkling clean. I have a small cat and a toddler, so I requested the cleaner minimize the use of toxic cleaners. There was no hesitation on the cleaners part with my request. An added benefit was the lack of industrial strength cleaner smell. I'm one of those people that associates clean with the smell of bleach. I was pleasantly surprised that the house felt and looked clean without that smell. This company is very professional and takes their service seriously. After the cleaning, I was asked for feedback on what I thought about the cleaning. I've used a couple cleaners before and they never personally contacted me to ask if I was satisfied with the cleaning. I feel very safe leaving my house in their hands and will use this company again.

Robin was very willing and pleasant, but seemed a little uncertain of how to get started. I didn't ask her to clean my kitchen, as I had just had new granite and appliances installed and had been out of town. I felt like it would have been better to have two people working, as she seemed a little overwhelmed, but she said that it was difficult hiring competent people, which I believe. I have had two other cleaning companies in to clean my house, and Robin did the best job so far. She did everything I asked her to do. No reflection on Robin, but I felt the service was a little overpriced for a "special" on Angie's List, as my house was already fairly clean.

We purchased 8 hours of deep house cleaning on a featured deal through Angie's List. We purchased the deal in October but waited to have the cleaning done until January because we wanted the cleaning done after a kitchen remodeling project was completed. We had some difficulty scheduling a date for the clean because it seemed they were short handed. We were offered 4 hours on 2 different days which wasn't a good deal for us and eventually agreed to 2 people for 4 hours on a given Saturday. When the scheduled day arrived, one person called about 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment time and said her teammate couldn't make it and she didn't know what to do because she couldn't get in touch with the company owner. We told her to come anyway because we had arranged to be home. When she arrived at our home she said she still had not heard back from the owner. She did very good work for 4 hours and we were pleased with that portion of the experience. However, it has been 2 weeks and we have heard nothing from Cosmopolitan Cleaning about scheduling the other 4 hours of work which we have paid for. Recently, we did receive an email from the company owner seeking money for a fund-raiser.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. They were fine; the cleaner double-booked herself and so she did not spend the entire 4 hours here. All-in-all it was fine.

Fabulous - it was a ton of work and an enormous task for a weekend, but they were true to their word and got it done!

The service was never performed and the experience added stress to the holidays, as stated above.

People were polite and seemed to do a good job for what we expected except for time here--see above

The OVERALL experiecne was ok. The first individual they sent wasn't quite up to par and failed to do what we asked. I made sure the owener was aware of this. I will say the owner did take full responsibility for the lack in performance by the employee. This was good to see.

Jaime and her team are extroordinary! Her prior military service means she understands "Others before self, Excellence in all you do, and Integrity above all else!" She is honest, and open with communication. We really love her work!

For some reason, the girl had the wrong address but she still made it on time. There was a lady and a young man. They were pretty slow but did an okay job. It was supposed to be a "deep" housecleaning but I don't feel it was that. More "general cleaning". The same spot is still on the bathroom door that was there before they came; the same spot is on the wall that was there before they came. I have since cleaned them - it was more a test to see if they would clean those areas and they didn't. It took two people six hours to clean a 2,000 square foot home and it wasn't even completed. The dining room wasn't dusted as they ran out of time. Baseboards weren't cleaned, which was described as part of the deep cleaning process. They didn't clean floors by hand - they used some vacuum-looking thing that didn't get behind the toilets in any of the bathrooms, or any corners. Again, just general cleaning and I was expecting more detailed cleaning.

Poor Service, Poor cleaning...never again!

The 2 girls were very punctual and on time. They were very personable and very professional. I noticed they worked really well together, as team, and I liked that. They came in and I showed them what I wanted done in order of priority - incase they ran out of time they would know what I wanted done first and foremost. They brought with them all the supplies except for a vacuum - which was kind of a bummer. I understand the reasoning behind it but I do think investing in a commercial vacuum to use that they can spray a sanitizer after each cleaning on would be a good idea - that was the only thing I would change/recommend. They cleaned in the order I gave them and they finished it all just in time. After they left, I saw a few areas that had been overlooked but overall they did a good job. They worked continuously and I did not see them take any breaks at all - which I would not have minded. They worked hard and my house smelled and felt wonderful after they left.

This was my first experience with a housecleaning service. Though I thought the owner was nice and accommodating, I would not use this company again. The reason is that I should not have to go over a job once it is finished. Items were dusted around and it was obvious that areas were completely missed. The hardwood floors were not swept before mopping and the floors were streaked throughout. The bathroom and laundry room floors were not done with the exception of a bathroom floor that is carpeted and it was vacuumed. Two were here for three hours. I did not follow them around for that time but I did not think that they did a thorough job. I did not ask or expect them to dust the bookcase or to clean the inside of the appliances or kitchen cupboards. I am a good housekeeper and do a reasonable job of staying on top of normal clean-up. It was only after having surgery that I needed to call someone in for help.

This company needs to be little more upfront about what 4 hours means. It really doesn't mean four hours of cleaning, instead it is two hours of cleaning by two people (adding up to to four). To me, four hours is four hours, and plenty of time to clean my house, plus clean the carpet in four rooms, as the offer said they would do. But because they only spent two hours, they did not get to clean the carpets in two rooms upstairs. Plus, the carpet cleaning they did was not really deep cleaning. I've been really frustrated trying to find a good cleaning company that charges a reasonable price in Colorado Springs. The house cleaning part went better than the carpet cleaning, but I think I would have preferred them to just concentrate on floors, kitchen, and bathroom and forget the carpets because that was pretty worthless and took all the time up. But the $139 deal means that their regular price is just too high for what is basically just two hours of cleaning.

What little exposure I had to this company did not go well at all.

She has promised to call me back several times and has never done so.

I moved here in March 2012 and immediately started using Linda. She's been here every 2 weeks since then. Unfortunately (for me) her husband was transferred to Spring, TX so I am losing her. If you need a good house cleaning in TX, call Linda when she gets there. I'll miss her!

She came the first time and did an excellent job. We contracted her for later because of our move, and she never showed up (and we didn't hear from her). So in essense, I paid for 3 rounds of housecleaning and only received 1.

I called her the first time in June, and she said she'd call me back that evening. I hadn't gotten a response, up until now in August. She must have enough business or be too busy to get back to me. It seems unprofessional to have such poor follow-up.
