Cosmopolitan Cleaning

I called them three times with no return call.

They were on time and professional, but had a significantly different idea of a deep cleaning than we did.

They weren’t great but they weren’t bad either. Scheduling was average. When they came I asked them to dust and clean all the wooden doors with Pledge and they were not thorough.

By and large, the experience was a good one. The lower level was cleaned thoroughly; however, the upper level seemed rushed to me. Several areas that I had requested to be cleaned were not, i.e. moldings and underneath the dining room table. I did like both women who performed the service, however, and I would welcome them back into my home.

I was getting my house ready to put on the market & wanted a thorough cleaning of kitchen, floors and 4 1/2 bathrooms. Although Jamie at the office was very courteous and accomodating to fit me into their schedule, I was underwhelmed with the actual cleaning services performed. Once the ladies arrived, I removed one of the bathrooms from the list because it is a guest bath that is never used & I wanted them to concentrate their efforts on the other areas. They worked for approximately 3.5 hours, then informed me they were done. Upon walking through the house to check their work, I noticed in one bathroom that there were drops of dried latex paint on the floor (the same floor that was supposed to have undergone a "deep cleaning"). When I pointed it out to the cleaner, she stated that she didn't have anything to clean paint. I simply pushed at the drops with my fingernail & they came up with no problem. In another bathroom I noted a spill (later turned out to be cleaning solution) beside the toilet & had to point it out to the cleaner. She was able to correct this. In the kitchen, all countertops were wiped; however no items (toaster, bowl of fruit, etc) were moved and wiped under. I didn't notice this until after the ladies had left. Also after they had left, I was standing in the kitchen looking into my dining room. Although the dining room floors were supposedly swept and mopped, there was a visible layer of dust under the buffet (the buffet sits off the floor on legs of approx 3" in height); obviously this item was simply mopped around, not under. So much for the "deep clean" for which I paid!! I would say that Cosmopolitan did an OK job, but certainly not a $300 job. I would expect my teenager to perform the same level of cleaning; it was not to the standards that I would expect of a professional cleaning company.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and they did a great job. They had gone out of business, but they still came and honored my big deal. They came and cleaned today. I had bought 4 cleanings and they split it up in 4 hours of cleaning. They did a great job. They were very thorough, out of the 4 cleans, 3 people came and the lady who came today, had come twice, and she did an awesome job. In fact I am going to hire her separately. She was fabulous. I thought it was very ethical for them to honor the big deal even though they were out of business.

I had purchased a big deal for the service, and it was good. I have used them twice for big deals.

My only complaint is that I should have had 2 people for 4 hours but actually had 1 lady show up on 2 different days for 4 hours each. Things just never really seem as clean as just after a full cleaning on one day. I had almost reached my expiration date and the company bent over backwards to squeeze me in which was much appreciated! A wonderful company to deal with I just think my cleaning was average.

The service provided by Cosmopolitan Cleaning was adequate. It took them an hour to clean one bathroom. There's three bathroom and a kitchen and they barely got all that done and it wasn't like they were really dirty rooms. I just find that with coupons, they stretch things out.

Went well--employees were very punctual and made every effort to concentrate on the areas, i.e. floors, that I was most interested in. I had concerns after the first visit that I shared with the owner, who assured me that my concerns would be addressed to my satisfaction, and they were.

The service was okay. They did a really good job and they cleaned the shower and the bathroom floors and sink, they cleaned the counters in the kitchen, but the cannisters still had flower on them. I thought they would clean the windo sills, it was one of the things that they specifically said they would do when I asked, but they didn't clean them. One person was late getting here because she got lost, and they put in about 3 hours each, so they did put good hours, but it wasn't what I expected.

They have been awesome to deal with. This is my first commercial home cleaning service and it has been great. A little learning curve for me to know how the whole process works. I've always used individuals rather than a service at home. They have cheerfully communicated and helped me get the top notch cleaning we need for the same cost as a much less professional individual. My very picky wife is happy as can be.

Went well. Puctual and professional. Worked efficiently and effectively. Great customer focus. Only issue was cleaner used in master shower left significant residue behind. C;leaner may have reacted with the sealer used on the slate tiles in the shower area.

Sandy arrived on time and did an excellent job. She asked a lot of questions to be sure she understood what was important to me. Extremely professional and courteous. Setting the appointment with Jamie was also a breeze. Everything about this company is geared towards customer satisfaction.

Very responsive via email and phone. Worked out scheduling conflicts and was able to perform work in narrow timeframe. Employee was prompt, needed no supervision and did an excellent job. Was impressed with quality and depth of the work performed. Would use again and recommend highly.

An Angie's List Big Deal email offered full house cleaning for $99. Cosmopolitan sent one person for a total of 3 hours. The person they sent tried to do a good job, but one person for three hours is no where near what was represented in the Big Deal advertisement. I do not feel that I got my money's worth, and this was certainly not a "Big Deal".

They sent 3 people, one seemed to be the brother of one of the 2 women. The house seemed clean when they finished. I did not micro manage and tried to stay out of the way. When you look under the bed there are dust bunnies and under the other furniture. They only vacuumed the areas that I could see without looking under anything.

I was so impressed! They obviously scrubbed, scrubbed, scrubbed. Jamie got up spilled WAX off of a brick floor. They got the oily ceiling cleaned. Everything SMELLED clean and just sparkled. Because of her extensive notes, she was able to make sure all the extra jobs were completed. I would absolutely use this company again.

Overall, the gal did an OK job, but she worked slower and did not accomplish as much as I thought she should have.

Not complaints; timely and efficient. Would recommend.

Under new management, Cosmopolitan Cleaning is genuinely committed to providing quality service and making customers happy. Since the initial Angie's List experience, we now use them for scheduled cleaning of our home for several months. We have been very happy with the service and responsiveness we've received.

Robin showed up right on time, when straight to work and did a a terrific job for us. She was great and I definitely will use this company again,

I originally hired Cosmopolitan Cleaning in fall 2012 for an 8 hour deep housekeeping session, which I previously reviewed here. In January 2013 I found myself in need of a regular housekeeper and hired the company to come in every other week for three hours to do a combination of regular housekeeping chores as well as some deep cleaning projects I needed done around the house in preparation for selling it this spring. I have been working with Jaime, the owner, for scheduling purposes and Robin has been coming in to do the cleaning for the past several months. I have been very happy with the price we agreed upon, the communication offered by Jaime, as well as the quality of the housekeeping services that have been provided by Robin. I have found everyone I've spoken with to be very pleasant, professional, and attentive to details. If we were not moving out of state this summer I would continue working with this company on a regular basis.

Fair. I just thought that when I mentioned to the scheduler that I was looking for a regular cleaner, they would have done a bang up job to knock my socks off. I was not impressed. They never even called to see how the service went!
