Description of Work: A complete HVAC system was installed. Works very well, BUT it failed city inspection. Plumbline came out and said they would fix it but I never heard from them again. Company has good sales people, good techs, but bad office follow up.

Description of Work: Plumbline quoted me prices for a new furnace and a/c install of between 13,500 and 14,600 depending on choice of furnace eff and equipment; after researching a little further i found on a nationwide basis this service ranges from approx 6000- 8000 depending on area, equipt, etc. I then asked the sales rep to break out equip cost vs labor cost included in the bid. Equip was around 5000 and over $8500 for labor and overhead. This is for 2 men at 8 hr !!!! I was so outraged I didn't even call them back. I then got a bid from Signature H and A and their quote was $6600 for the same exact job; they did a great job and completed in less than 8 hrs. Plumbline was clearly trying to pull a fast one on me.

Description of Work: I called on Tuesday, Sept 3rd at 7am because i have a main sewer line backup. I discovered it the night of Labor Day as I was attempting to do laundry. I was told by their customer service person that they could not get to me until the morning of the 4th. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I cannot flush toilets, take a shower, brush my teeth, do dishes, or anything else until this line is snaked out. I will never call Plumbline ever again. I called another plumbing company and they will be at my house within the hour. I will never recomment Plumbline services to anyone, EVER.

Description of Work: i asked for a quote for a new water heater. they wanted to send a technician and he would install what they have on the truck but they couldn't tell me in advance what model water heater it would be or the cost. when i said that Bradford white has lots of models the phone rep said i could get any model i wanted but they wouldn;t tell me the cost on the phone even though they would be replacing my old gas water heater. i wou;d expect someone on Angies List to give a price quote on the phone.

+ -1 moreTech recommended $900+ of work. I questioned why estimate so high. He convinced me work was fairly complex and needed to be done. I believe I was charged an exorbitant amount for the work. Example 1: Cleaning condenser involved removing panels, spraying coil w/cleaning solution, letting it soak, then rinsing it off. @30-45min;cost-$330. Example 2: A/C Check and Service involved attaching device to measure condenser input/output temps. He informed me of problem that could be one or both of two causes: dirty evaporator coil: Estimate $500+ to clean, or incorrect refrigerant level: $400+ to adjust. Apparently Service isn't part of their A/C Check and Service; @30-45min; cost:$198 to CHECK the system. LABOR CHARGES WERE OVER $250 PER HOUR. Plumbline is WAY too proud of their service! They did refund $37.95 Min Service Fee (no idea why it was charged) when I called and discussed my concerns with Service Manager. In my opinion, fair charge for this work would be in the range of $300-$500.
Description of Work: Determine problem with A/C; make other recommendations. time:@30-45 min. Replace transformer (warranty) $0time:@30-45 min. Clean coil $330-time:@30 min. Replace copper conduit to fix electrical short $108-time:@10 min. Install transformer for humidifier and air filter $280-time:@30-45 min. Perform "A/C Check and Service" ("Service" not performed) $198-time: @30-45 min. I called Plumbline because of their high score on Angie's List. Apparently some others had good experience. My experience was different. UPDT 9/5/06: Ed Coleman contacted me and offered $300 refund as a good will gesture. Told him $400 credit would bring charges to within high end of range that I felt work was worth. He agreed. He credited my account $400. No requirements were put on the credit. He only requested I submit an update. Use Plumbline again? - I would now give them a chance at a FREE estimate, BUT I would also get estimates from at least 2 other companies.

Description of Work: After the winter we turned on the sprinkler system and had water gushing from the outdoor sprinkler pipes.

+ -1 morePlumbline provided us with a huge sense of security. They were right there and didn't stop until it was solved. They even sent out additional help. They always were very conscientious about cleanliness. I'd very highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Our toilet overflowed in the basement so they fixed that problem which led them to the main problem. This was a bulb of roots out 1,000 feet. They then got rid of the roots.
