If you want excellent service call McAdams Plumbing. My mother's master bedroom toilet overflowed on a Saturday evening and she had quite a mess. She told me the next morning during our phone call. I went to Angie's List and tried two of the listed 24 hour service companies to no avail. Since I wasn't going to get service for her on Sunday, I decided to call McAdams Plumbing early Monday morning. I called a little after 7:00 a..m. and found they were already on a job, but was told that they would arrive at her house between 9:00-10:00 a.m.. I arrived at her house at 9:00 a.m.. Rick and Chris arrived a little before 10:00 a.m. and had her toilet in working order 45 minutes later. The two of them couldn't have been nicer or more professional. Their prices were reasonable and they gave Mom a senior discount. Chris even took a bit of time with Mom to admire wall photos she wanted to show him that my father had taken. Her dog Toby even enjoyed his time around them. Mom wishes to offer her thanks to them as well in this review.

The guy was really proud and said he saved me $200. He replaced the pipe coming out of the wall and the shower worked, but the pipe was still unsecured and flopping around. There is a little cap that covers the wall where the pipe comes out, the plumber didn't even secure that. My boyfriend had to come in and fix it. It was kind of mediocre work. It solved the immediate problem, but the total fix was incomplete.

Helpful in every way. Best plumber experience we have ever had. They helped us find a mystery leak that 2 previous plumbers could not identify. The problem ended up being the flooring around the shower basin, which will require work from someone else. This group is terrific. They were punctual, communicative, and very very helpful We highly recommend them.

I called to have a toilet that was flushing very slowly checked out. He gave an estimate and repaired the toilet doing a complete tank rebuild. The owner was very fast, efficient, and friendly! He even checked my other toilets and fixed one that wasn't put together correctly. He also checked a sump pump in my basement and gave an estimate on that.

McAdams showed up on time, inspected the toilet leak, assessed the parts needed (Kohler has many toilet styles so he had to order the parts kit). Said he would have to return when the parts were available. About 3 hours later, McAdams called and siad that he had the parts and would it be OK to come over to complete the repair. He arrived, fixed the toilet, and left. The plumber was most courteous and professional. A good experience. And he gave us the senior discount!

A few days before Thanksgiving I realized that the funny air pressure sounds all the plumbing in my house was making might be a serious problem especially with company coming and all the added use they would be getting. I called McAdams Plumbing and got prompt, courteous, professional, respectful, honest, service. I was raised in a small town where everyone knew everyone and so you knew they would be accountable and honest. The kind of first rate service McAdams Plumbing provides reminds me of that kind of small town relationship. Rick is happy to answer my questions and thoroughly explains the service with kindness and patience for my lack of knowledge about plumbing! They are helpful, responsible, accountable, knowledgeable and go above and beyond to guarantee your service and customer satisfaction. I have used them since this initial service and will continue to do so. I would definitely recommend them.

They turned the water off when we went away and then they turned it back on again in August. They really seemed to know what they are doing. I am very, very happy with them. I would use them again in the future.

Company was able to send someone right away. He arrived on time, was friendly and professional and very clean.

Mr. McAdams was timely, prompt and did good work. That wasn't the problem. He told me that even though my hot water heater wasn't the source of the leak, it was nearing the end of it's life ( at 10 years old) I had other work going on in the house at the same time and just had him replace it. Later, I had another contractor in the house and told him about the leak and he found it in under five minutes at no charge. Mr. McAdams looked under the same sink and didn't find anything. I felt Mr. McAdams charged top dollar and didn't care about my problem.

I was able to book the appointment at my convenience. Rick showed up on time and did an excellent job. He made sure the job was done properly, which I appreciated. (Some of the gas connections were loose and he made sure they were tightened up during the install process.) On the previous visit, we discussed the Bradford water heater, which is a higher-quality product and American-made, but it is more expensive. I made the decision to get it installed and called Rick to get it done!

Overall, the experience was good. He's a master plumber, so the price was a little high, but the work was done very well. They did honor a $50 coupon that they offered on Angie's List.

I have been in the construction business for over 30 years. McAdams Plumbing is the best and most fair company that I have ever seen. They were prompt, professional, slean and more than fair priced. I called them to clear a drain from my kitchen sink. They arrived within a couple hours of the call. The drain was promptly cleared and Rick was ready to leave. The charges were for one hour. $95.00. The next morning I called him back, because there was a drip from the sink drain. I had forgotten to ask him to check it the previous day. He was out within the hour, fied the drip and didn't charge me a penny for the second trip. I intend to call them back for more work at my home. I've already recomended them to others. I was in the process of replacing my house pressure valve. I had it mostly done myself but was having a heck of a time getting the pipe soldered correctly. I tried for several hours and realized I had met my match. So, I called to McAdams in desperation. Rick came out and soldered that joint with such ease I knew I was watching an artist at his craft. He was able to get me squared away in time for company to arrive. Thinking next time I need pipe sweated, I'll call in the pros. Those little propane torches don't cut it and a lack of experience doing that kind of work can make an easy job much more difficult. Lesson learned and I am thankful to Rick for bailing me out.

Install went very smooth, price was better than others on Angies list, was able to do it the next day, got a $50.00 discount coupon from Angies list. Will hire again!!

Rick came the very next day after I called for help. He determined that the problem was the weight of the bottle was too much for the plastic lid and put some wood underneath the bottle to take up the weight. Originally he didn't want to charge me anything but I insisted on paying him something since he had taken the time to come to my home and had worked on the leak. So he charged me a mere $29. Unfortunately, while the fix did reduce the flow of the leak from a steady flood, it was still dripping a bit. I called him again and he came right over that very day. This time he rigged something that allows me to keep using the sink trap kit I bought through a pottery web site, despite the fact that the trap is pretty cheaply constructed. It's as dry as a bone now under the sink. He only charged me for the service call - no materials. Rick was prompt, helpful, informative and honest. What more can you ask for?

I called McAdams and told them what was going on. They said that they could come in the late afternoon to fix the problem. They called back about 90 minutes later and said that they could be there in 30 minutes if that would be ok. I said that would be great and the representative arrived on time. He saw the problem and was able to replace the disposal in about an hour. He was cleaned up and gone in a total of 90 minutes. My experience was very positive and I will use them again if I have a plumbing issue.

McAdams Plumbing has done work for us several times - can't say enough good things! An inspector made the comment to me that Rick does the best plumbing work he's ever seen. He's prompt, honest, got a great sense of humor, and is more than reasonably fair. Slowly we are replacing builder quality (cheap cheap cheap) plumbing as needed - and Rick is always the one I call.
