It went well. See above.
Description of Work: Jim had done my massive remodel of my house back in Sept 2015. (see Sept 18th review). This time I just needed 3 Anderson storm doors and base board in the garage installed. Got it all done in one day!! Great Job with the doors which had to be custom fitted and massaged in their jams to seal properly.

Description of Work: They put a roof enclosure to our carport to our trailer, and enclosed with front door and back door. He had to sublet to another company, and they had a hard time finishing the job for nothing was square. They also had to redo the gutter. It is finished now finally.

in all fairness this was a mobile home that was out of square and attached was an old carport that should have been replaced but we managed to complete an enclosed awning attached to an unsquare carport and attach to the mobile home at the same time the project was completed and they stated they were fine with it all so in closing i will be more careful what i sign onto i also felt they did not appreciate all the extra effort we put in to make shure all was well so in that regard there end of the review is not fair and i thought people would want to know what the real story was..sincerely//alex ruffin

Description of Work: I hired Jim to 1)remove some popcorn texture from my ceilings and put a light orange peel texture on it. 2)close in a pass through window in my kitchen. 3)frame and drywall a "knee high wall" along my living room and stairs. 4) Hang my brand new cabinets in my kitchen. |Lets start with the ceilings, I removed about 1/2 of the popcorn myself. The part that Jim did required a lot of re-mudding/ repair and sanding. Now that it's done I can see some areas where it looks very uneven and rushed. He said he was going to caulk but when I started painting I noticed he only caulked the living room. When I received his total, it was about $200 lower than his original estimate, so he did knock off some for the popcorn I had already removed. Next he closed in the pass through window in my kitchen (again I did the demolition part) and he built a knee high wall to replace a slat banister wall thing that was in my living room over my stairs and built a drywall banister on my stairs to match. That was done fine, I think some of the mudding/ sanding could have been done better if they weren't in such a rush to get to the next job. Last I had him hang my kitchen cabinets, which was a disaster. We were able to come up with a good fix it solution though so all was not lost. To install my kitchen cabinets we had to cut some holes in the backs to allow for outlets, which would have been fine. However Jim hung the cabinets upside down and didn't put the spacers in the correct places. My cabinet doors were rubbing against neighboring cabinets. When I called and told him my concerns he said he would come take a look. While I waited for him I went to the cabinet maker and confirmed with them that there is an upside and a downside to cabinets. I also expressed my concern about the spacers, so the cabinet maker showed me on the drawings (the same ones that Jim had) where the spacers were supposed to be placed. In figuring out what needed to be done to fix my cabinets, we realized that more than 1/2 of the cabinets were going to have to come down and be re-hung. Unfortunately that included one of the pantry cabinets with the outlet holes cut into the back. What we ended up having to do was cut an even larger hole in the wall behind the cabinet and move the outlet down, so now there is a big hole in the wall behind my cabinet. I know no one will ever see it, but if the job had been done correctly the first time around it wouldn't have to be there at all. I also waited on him to get a friend to hang the crown molding on my cabinets because he didn't know how to do it (which is fine, I would rather he say it's not something he can do rather than just wing it.) So I paid him for everything except the crown molding on 4/18/15 and his project is now as fixed as it is going to be as of 5/23. I also noticed that he didn't take any additional money off of the original estimate for the kitchen demolition, which I took care of. When he came to collect the last of the money we owed him, I asked him about the kitchen demo and he decided to take $200 off what we owed (which if you have priced contractor rates for demolition, it is about $75 per box, so in that case $525 should have been knocked off my final bill. Originally he was supposed to install my counter tops as well, but I have decided to allow someone else to handle that project. I would like to add that Jim was a very nice person and had really good ideas; I just wasn't overly thrilled with his work. |

Response from Integrity Remodeling Services
i understand [Member Name Removed] concerns but when we first looked at the job she stated that her and [Member Name Removed] were doing most of the skimcoat work and i told her that when going with a smooth finish it requires extra mud work she said that they would take care of that.they were on a very limited budget and we tried to do all the work with them doing the finish work and some mudding the cabinet maker made a few minor mistakes on the fillers needed so we came back and had to add a few fillers instead of the 7 they gave us in order to make room for the dishwasher and sink base we used the same cabinet hole they had plugs in the way so they decided to install the plugs in the pantry cabinets we had to cut a filler down to 3/4s but we still kept the same jbox hole all in all we went out of our way to resolve these minor issues and in the end the cabinets came out fine compared to the old layout.even had nice crown molding added.the thing that [Member Name Removed] is not sharing is they had to take the house back from tenants who were 6 months past due on rent and the place was in major disrepair we simply removed popcorn and retextured the ceilings and caulked the inside corners.and in the end the cabinets came out nice i think they are frustrated with the house in general and taking that out on me.yes there were a few minor problems i feel they are exagerating the point.and when i left finished with the crown they said it was all good so i do not think the c grade was fair due to minor problems that we went out of our way to resolve we always try very hard to do a good job for our customers/thanks for letting me reply//jim

The job went very well, from start to finish. Beginning with the estimate which was supplied promptly and was itemized because we were thinking about several senarios that included additional work beyond the original scope. Also, a couple evenings before the work was done, Integrity re-surveyed the job to make sure of the work to be done. On the day of the job, the worker arrived promptly, and completed the job in one day. Not only was the patching of the ceiling drywall done first-rate, the living room area was totally cleaned up of popcorn texture before the worker left.
Description of Work: The job was to repair a whole in the livingroom ceiling (from the foot of a satelite installer in the atic) and to remove all the popcorn texture from the ceiling.

I have been planning a kitchen remodel/update for years but never could find the "right" person. I found Jim/Integrity on Angie's list. He was prompt in giving me an estimate, understood that I wanted quality but within my budget, and worked with me on getting a plan in place. I found a number of items myself during the course of planning and Jim never tried to "upgrade" me to any deals where he would get a cut from the supplier. He suggested a place for the granite, took care of all that, and came in with his estimate. He also gave me prices for some services that I did not think I could afford but based on his quote, I got flooring not just only for the kitchen but family room, had a whole new paint job for the kitchen and family room (threw in the ceiling because he said it looked dingy after we did the walls). Most of all I appreciated that he was there early in the morning, worked until late and always asked me if that was okay....Our fence fell down during the course of this and he got right on it. I only hope that I did not take advantage of him....and my kitchen/family room was so beautiful that I decided to put granite counters on my dining room cabinets...all told I am handing out his cards and will call him back any time I need more work..
Description of Work: Restored "old" cabinets on perimeter of kitchen; replaced kitchen island with new cabinets, granite counter tops all around, new knobs for all the cabinets, new floor in kitchen and family room and bathroom, new paint on walls and ceiling in kitchen and adjoining family room, new granite countertop in guest bath off the kitchen, new granite countertops in dining room, new sink and faucet installed in kitchen, tiled around garden window that had been installed last summer (by someone who gave me a bid but wanted extra to finish...) cleaned up the mess under the kitchen sink from old water damage, fixed my fence that the wind tore up.

They are reliable and pay attention to quality. The job went a little over budget but that was due to materials and not due to labor or anything else. They didn't charge me anything extra for the labor even though it took them much longer to finish the job.
Description of Work: Integrity Remodeling Services built an office for me. They did everything including the drywall, electrical, insulation, wood flooring and finishing work. I had them sound insulate it.

Jim and his crew were subcontracted from Don's Handyman Service. Don was very good at being responsive to my original requeste for proposal and brought in the right team. From start to finish the work was done professionally, cleanly and the team went above and beyond. In every instance I felt that Jim's team was looking for ways to improve on what I needed done without going over the original estimate. The work was completed thoroughly and once the crew started they were at home home every day until it ws done. They were prompt and courteous in all instances. I could not be more pleased with the work and the team.
Description of Work: I had several projects that needed to be done throughout my home so needed a service provider with a wide array of capabilities. Having removed the popcorn from my ceilings, I had areas with damage replaced / repaired and the surface of all of the ceilings brought to a smooth and paintable surface. There were also other spots of drywall repair which were completed to blend with the surrounding walls. In the master bathroom the stall shower was completely demolished and rebuilt from the studs, complete with tile, a new shower door and fixtures. New flooring and toilets were installed in both bathrooms. The vanity was replaced in the master bathroom. The closet door in the master bedroom was repaired so it could close and new closet doors were hung over the laundry area. Finally, a new front door was installed.
