Description of Work: Analysed the cause of my laptop crash, which turned out to be a fatal permanent error of the hard drive. He recommended, since the computer was over two years old, that I buy a new computer. He recommended a comparable name brand model. Also on my other laptop He taught me how to reduce the number of programs running in the background and other useful skills.

Description of Work: Provider attempted to fix a hard drive problem on our computer; after several hours he said that it was not something he could fix remotely and that we would have to take it in the a local repair shop. He said he would agree to a refund of our total fee of $99.00

Overall, it was successful
Description of Work: He was very considerate of the fact that I don't know much about computers. He had to add and delete some programs so it took me awhile to find everything again. The problem surfaced again after a few days and he helped to fix it again. All in all, a good way to work on your computer and I learned new things.

Terrible experience
Description of Work: We called to have our lap top updated as it was running slowly.Gary called at 6pm and gave up at 9:30pm saying he was spent and had to go eat dinner and would call us tomorrow. For appoximately 30 minutes he took over our computer and then basicly gave up on us. He stated he did not know what to do. We did all the work as he directed us to go to restore but once we could not access yahoo He could not figure out what happened and gave up on us. He was helping a number of other people and called us back Several time not sure who he was talking to and giving us confusing directions. Now we have to find someone local And we are without an operable computer. He wiped our computer and now it does not work!!

The clients computer repair was questionable when booked one week previous to the repair date. I asked that the customer not prepay due to the instability of the operating system and the reliability of the backup partition. The client was able to perform a manual backup, so no data was lost during this session. It was just unfortunate that the client had to take the machine in for repair.

Description of Work: I had a very positive experience with Greg and his level of knowledge and expertise is unmatched relative to repair services I've used in the past. I had him service two computers that were severely hampered by viruses, pop-ups and continuous freezing. He was able to clean up both computers, install virus protection and eliminate all the pop-ups. Greg was kind enough to download new browsers that were more user friendly relative to the operating system on each computer. I basically turn the computer over to him and walked away. He honored the $99 coupon which is a tremendous deal considering all the challenges I was having with my computers. If you're having some challenges with your computer, give him a call, he's very easy to work with and will work around your schedule. AWESOME!

Description of Work: My Sony VAIO laptop would not restart all the way. After hours of frustration I called Gary who knew exactly what to do. A very patient man. Between being a mom and wife Gary was able to fix it over the phone. I didn't have to bring it to Staples this time. I also saved a little money. Gary was both knowledgeable and nice. I have another computer that needs to be fix and will again use Gary. Great Job!

Some computers are way past their prime as explained the customer. Even a complete remote recovery would not be economically practical. As the customer stated consultations are free and I will look into her refund ASAP.

Description of Work: Although Mr. Robinson wanted to help, he was unable to because he already had so many commitments. I booked an appt with him, believing I could wait until Friday for the repair. After looking at my computer problem further, I realized it was a bad idea to wait, so I called another company to fix the problem. It is now repaired.

Description of Work: It was not long after I purchased the deal for a Remote Computer Tune-up that I received an email from Garry setting up an appointment. I gave a brief explanation of the problems I was having (mainly my 4 year old laptop needed a little TLC). It was sluggish and I was receiving a McAfee firewall error. Garry was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. So far, so good with the computer. I haven’t received the error message and it seems to have more speed. What made this nice is that I was able to sit in the comfort of my home and have this taken care of. I will definitely be using Garry again for his knowledge & expertise.

Description of Work: I contacted the provider shortly after purchasing the deal. He stated that he would call me back in an hour and that we would address my computer problem at that time. I agreed. He never called back that day. I called him the next day, left a message to call me. He didn't return my call that day. The next day he called me and apologized. I told him I had sought assistance from another vendor. We agree to do a refund.

Description of Work: I had a browser problem with my computer. Gary responded within the hour, however I was not available at the time. I set up an appointment for the next day and he was very punctual and handle my computer problem accordingly. As I use my computer for work i was most appreciative with the resolution in a timely and efficient manner.

Description of Work: My computer kept freezing up, and I thought I might have a computer virus or malware. The service provided was excellent and punctual. I especially loved it because I didn't need to carry my computer to someone local to fix it. It was all done remotely, which is definitely a plus! I even had to call the provider back regarding something else, and he was able to clear the problem up for me, once again in a professional and punctual matter. I have no hesitation in recommending "My Remote Computer" to anyone, and will be sure to use this service provider again if I ever need computer repair, etc... assistance again!

Description of Work: My computer was very slow and during the on-line visit he discovered that it was crashing. So I was able to get a new computer and to also save the information from the crashed computer. Very nice and stated I could call him back with any problems with the new one as a curtisy. Description of Work: I contacted Gary after not being able to download attachments on my email account. Gary trouble shot the problem in five minutes. It was not a computer issue, but an technical issue of the email provider. Very trustworthy and professional, didn't charge any fees.

Description of Work: My 6 year old HP computer crashed. Gary of Myremoterepair.com worked with me multiple times over many days. In the end the computer could not be saved. Even though Gary had already spent much time with me he offered a refund. In good faith, I could not accept my money back. Instead he offered continued help for the new computer I was going to purchase. Gary did assist me with setting up the new computer. I will certainly call on him again when needed!
