My Remote Repair

The provider was very pleasant

The computer was barely out. He wasn't able to do a lot with it. He said it needed to be replaced. He was very professional. He told me upfront what he's going to do. After he was finished, he explained what he did. He seemed very knowledgeable.

Didn't actually solve my problem

Promptly returned my call. He was not sure he could help but said he would try and if he could not fix the problem he would not take a fee. He called back several times although some calls were not timely and did fix the problem. Much more time was spent than I paid for, until the problem was fixed. This fix was done remotely by phone so no on site work was required.

He worked on it for a couple days and but finally gave up and told me how to get my money back. He was pleasant to work with, seemed knowledgeable, and seemed to care. I would have no problem with giving him another crack at my computer problems.

They were helpful. Apparently my computer was working very slowly and after they went through their diagnostics, I think it was a remote, I think it worked a little better but it didn't quite work as well as I was hoping. I'm not going to say it's their fault or something else is going on in the computer. I don't use that computer much anymore but I don't necessarily blame them or if there are some more issues with our computer. They did tell me that what they can do remotely is limited and they have to take it in somewhere to get more done. They were pretty upfront about that. The price was fair. They responded within that day. The end result didn't meet my needs.

I want a manager from Angie's list to explain how this is not a deceptive business practice on Angie's List part.

He asked me alot of questions, was able to take control of my mouse, and found many problems that was causing my computer toe constantly send me pop up computer ads . These ads, I could not get rid of.. He fixed it all in very little time.

He told me I did not have a problem and what to do. No cost. I have used him before and he was excellant

After a few minutes of diagnostics and evaluating my computer, he told me that my hard drive was going bad and that he couldn't repair it. After I bought the new computer and it was performing badly, I contacted ATT. It turned out that my modem was going bad and ATT replaced the modem and the Dell computer is working perfectly. It was a waste of time and money and now I have two desktop computers

Said he would complete the adware removal remotely (which had all but disabled my laptop) while he worked on another project. It took about an hour and the adware did disappear briefly, but was back in full force a couple hours later. I then did some research on my own on the web and found the solution, which I implemented myself. I contacted the individual as well as Angie's list to report the failure and asked for the guaranteed refund. After several attempts Angie's List sent a check for only $15.00 of the $60.00 owed. This was alll the compensation I received.

He instead totally erased my entire hard drive and all my passwords. My emails are all lost and I am furious that I was told by Angies List to purchase this deal and this was recommended to me. This has been a terrible experience and the problem is I can't understand this provider over the phone. I

So far, my experience has been okay. My computer seems to be working a little better. I can't say much about it. Perhaps my understanding of what the Big Deal was wasn't clear. I kept talking about background programs that are done on my computer and I'm not too sure anything was done with that. When he called, I had trouble understanding some of the things he was saying. I've never had these services done before so it's a little hard for me to judge. His punctuality was good and he even called me a little earlier than he said. I would probably use somebody else in the future so I could have a comparison.

It was OK. I wouldn't give it the highest rating. He is more for Microsoft than Apple. My system is Apple. The price was fine.

Good, made it very easy. Set up th appointment and called when he said he would. Checked my computer and fixed everything in about 45 minutes.

He was very nice and it disappointed him as well that he couldn't fix the problem

I am extremely satisfied with Garry's work. I left a message for him after hours and he called me back the following morning. I explained that I was having connection issues and my computer was very slow. He connected remotely and "cleaned up" my computer. It is now working like new. He also gave a 30 day guarantee on his work. I highly recommend him and will use him again for any future computer problems.

Gary was very punctual and professional. His work was done within a reasonable amount of time and he offered to either allow us to watch what he was doing or return within 45 minutes as he anticipated he would be finished at that time. Our computer is now working much better and the prior problems have all been alleviated. This was well worth the investment and very convenient.

When I called Garry, he was with another client. He called me back in a few minutes. Once we were connected,he located the problem and corrected it very quickly. I have used his service in the past a couple of times and always got great results. I would recommend him highly!
