He was frank, honest & a true professional. He gave me his honest opinion, without trying to strong arm me into purchasing his services. I recommend him to anyone looking for honest service.

 + -1 moreWow. Bought the first coupon for Garry to help me with an incredibly sluggish netbook. With research we discovered that the Toshiba netbook was simply underpowered for my needs, and would never operate at the speeds that I wished (so I'll be using an alternate iPad). I still had a little leftover time. Then disaster struck, and a virus ate my spooling software on my main business computer so that none of my printers would work --- full system restore needed with hard drive wipe and reinstall of operating system. Yeeesh!. Garry stayed at the job on a Saturday until Outlook email, calendar, ACT, iCloud all were back in working order. Amazing service, and very patient. Would definitely use again, but can only hope tat I do not sufffer another computer meltdown like this one--- it stinks!

 + -1 moreI called Garry and he set up an appointment for that night. Quick! He did have to finish it a couple days later, but that's okay, I was not in dire need of surfing the net. He tried to remove the viruses, but they must've been particularly nasty so he ended up wiping out and rebuilding (not sure if that's what it's called) my hard drive. All went well and now I am virus free. That's all that matters to me. He gave me some advice on what virus protection to use in the future so hopefully I won't have to call him again. But I would if I needed to. A very nice and fair person. Thanks, Garry!

 + -1 moreI called the service provider (Garry) mid-morning. He answered the phone but was unable to help me immediately. I spoke to him later in the day and he did my tune up right away. My computer had been running slow but the worst was I had malware that was very annoying. I had tried to fix it myself and had made everything worse. Garry fixed everything remotely immediately and it works fantastic now. I never expected him to be able to fix it so quickly. I thought I was just going to make an appointment. He was very patient and very nice and gave me some suggestions that could help me in the future (change from yahoo to gmail) We also double checked to see that all was working well before the appointment was over. I would definitely recommend him and call him again in the future.

I have repeatedly been puzzled about how a consumer like myself who does not have a computer geek for a son or friend finds my way through home computer difficulties. It is just not practical to drop my computer off at a repair site for small problems. This business and Garry's ability to do remote access is the answer! I will definitely call on Garry for problems in the future!
Description of Work: Garry helped me to get my printer to work with my new laptop and we did some troubleshooting as to why my computer does not get a strong wifi signal in my home. Garry made recommendations for purchasing a new adapter and I have acted on those recommendations.

 + -1 moreGary responded immediately to our email request. Our PC lost the capability to use IE9 and that limited other applications. It took plenty of time to save and erase the content of the PC. Gary was able to return the PC to its defaults and reinstall IE9. However, in the process we must not have communicated how important the saved email addresses and other data in MS Outlook was. We didn't miss it until it was gone.
Description of Work: Services provided were to reformat a laptop pc in order for it to accept Inernet Explorer 9. Prior to this IE9 "broke" and we were unable to repair.

He explained as he went along, was quite competent, polite, and patient. He also found me a one year free alternative to microsoft office. My system is working great with no issues. It was worth every penny. Thank you!

Description of Work: Best Customer Service EVER!!! I purchased my Angie's List deal and handed it off to my husband (the procrastinator), to take for action, and call. I did not realize that Garry would be remoting in to my computer, I thought he was going to walk me through the steps.(Which is why I gave it to my husband to schedule)....... When he did not hear from us, Garry began contacting us, I LOVE GOOD/GREAT Customer service and thats what we got. We didnt have to pack up the computer to take anywhere, no strangers had to come to our house, he did EVERYTHING from where he's at. My computer is running faster and looks cleaner with no Pop-ups! The funny thing is I am scared to click on anything in fear of messing it up, but I know if I do, Garry is THE MAN to go to!!!

 + -1 moreI initially wanted to upgrade from Outlook Express to Outlook for e-mail, but Garry discovered that my current machine did not meet the System Requirements for Outlook, so we ended up just doing a basic cleanup and patches to help until I get a new PC.
Description of Work: Garry did a basic cleanup, installed a new browser, etc. to help keep my old desktop working until I can find time to replace it in a few weeks. I will definitely seek his help again when I set up the new PC and transfer files, etc.

 + -1 moreI was greeted Sat morning by a computer crash (Win 7 BSOD) on my old trusty desktop. I spent several hours trying all the fixes I could find, and decided it was time for an expert opinion. Looked at Angie's List to check ratings of my local resources. The better ones were unavailable and the available ones questionable. Based on his ratings I made a first time call to Garry. Spoke with him right away with a brief overview. He offered to call back in 90 to analyze in detail, which was great for me. He called as planned and was most professional. Shortly we decided that it was best to do a fresh install on a new drive and then transfer data from the old drive. A couple days later I'm now typing this on my rebuilt system. Only cost the price of a new hard drive.
Description of Work: Gary gave me a free estimate as advertized, and did not charge me since no actual repairs were done. Yet he steered me in the right direction and generously answered all my questions. Truly professional and helpful. Highly recommended!

This led to a deeply embedded Trojan that turned my Firefox browser into a nightmare. Not even the most highly recommended anti-malware software could get rid of it. My Remote Repair to the rescue. Garry not only came up with a solution, he did it for free in a matter of minutes on a Sunday afternoon. It doesn't get any better than that. Most highly recommended.

His price was very low. If I need repairs in the future he is the only one I will call. I highly recommend this fantastic company!! So much easier than bring your computer to a repair shop.

 + -1 moreI am satisfied that Garry checked out everything possible regarding the quite serious problems we were having and felt that overall it was a good experience and worth the price.
Description of Work: I found My Remote Repair on Angie's List and decided to give it a try as the reviews looked good and I thought I could trust a site recommended here. Garry, the service operator was very calm and professional. The problems on my computer were pretty severe (start up was not working and I could only boot up going through several steps, my computer was crashing frequently, etc.) but I figured Gary's charge to check it out would be significantly less than taking it to a repair shop. We spent a total of around 2-3 hours trying to fix the problems with various calls back and forth. He was able to improve the functioning somewhat but finally told me the operating system (Vista) was just unstable and not worth the cost of re-imaging. So altho we did not succeed in "fixing" my computer, I was satisfied to get a professional's recommendation to consider replacing my computer. He put in a lot of time with me and only charged $49 for the work. I thought this was very fair. He is very professional and pleasant to work with.

My computer had been sluggish and somewhat unreliable for quite some time and I was looking for someone to tune it up. I purchased a $49 special. Within five minutes, Garry from myremoterepair.com called my home phone. We started the repair immediatedly. My computer repair problem required more than the "special" the reduced price covered. He made it clear to me if we would proceed with "advanced" tuneup, it would cost me $50 more, without any pressure to do so. We proceeded with this and it took around three hours. Garry was patient a very professional. I would use him again and recommend anyone else to do so also.
