The problem was that my printer stopped connecting to my computer wirelessly. First thing he did was try to download new drivers from the internet which took more than an hour for him to figure out. We had to stop at that point as I had other appointments to be at. Then a few weeks later he tried to finish downloading the drivers and could not get them to download. Then a few weeks later he tried to download them again and asked me to link to an FTP site. Which I did to retrieve the printer drivers. He then installed them and that did not fix the problem. At that point he gave up and said I would have to contact Angies list to get my money back.
Description of Work: Try to fix my printer connectivity.

Garry called me exactly at the time we agreed upon. We discussed all my concerns and agreed that I would leave the error messages open for him to see once he could connect to my computer remotely. Once he connected to my laptop, he got to work and we hung up the phone. I was able to accomplish other things while Garry worked on my computer. When he finished, he called me back and showed me how there were no longer any error messages and Outlook was no longer asking if I wanted to compress my email messages. Not only did he get rid of all the error messages so my laptop could load faster but he downloaded a Malware program to protect my laptop, checked on the Internet speed and answered all my questions. He assured me of some concerns I had such whether or not I had enough remaining memory and whether I needed to try to correct a program that came with the computer and was no longer working. In fact, he asked me a few questions: whether or not I was getting error messages while working in a program for example, so he could determine if I may have any additional problems I forgot to mention or may come up at a later time I imagine. Garry was pleasant and friendly the whole time of our interaction and had a professional demeanor that gave me confidence. Sometimes I can get chatty which I imagine is annoying to others and takes work time away. But if Garry was annoyed (I wouldn't blame him!) he never let it show in his voice. He was always calm and professional. My laptop no longer has any error messages and loads faster. I am looking forward to using it without feeling a lot of frustration.
Description of Work: Older Dell laptop had several error messages right after window's screen, slowing down the loading so I could use it. Outlook Express kept asking to compress mail which I couldn't figure out how to stop and this also extended the time before I could use it. It was also slow to boot up. I also was still running Windows XP. Despite the fact that I had a Mac laptop, I really needed this old Dell for a medical non-profit organization and it wasn't that long ago when it was running great. So I needed all the error messages removed, and the laptop run as fast as it could for an old laptop.

Everything went well. The whole process was completed in about 1 hour and 45 minutes and my computer is faster and runs more efficiently. I'm also able to run scans on my computer with the help of a special program to eliminate spyware/malware.
Description of Work: Mr. Garry Robinson eliminated my computer of spyware and any unseen viruses and eliminated outdated files that were causing problems for my current programs. He was cordial and went about his work through the use of a remote process in which I watched while he took control over my PC and went into the internal control panel to adjust the areas that needed to be installed or uninstalled.

the customer required same-day service. By a specific time. All available time slots were taken for that day. The customer stated that this would not work in the his schedule and would take their computer to the shop. This was very unfortunate yet not unavoidable. I apologize for any inconvenience. This is not the usual outcome.

It was a good experience. Once we made contact by phone an appointment was made. On the day/time he was on-board and ready to go. He walked me through the process of getting him in to the system and then he cleaned out malware and made some great suggestions for the future. My computer has worked will since. I would use this service again.

Garry was professional and quick! I gave him the background and discussed the issues, and then he went to work. I am thrilled with how easy this process was, and extremely happy with the outcome. He directed me to purchase the coupon through Angie's List, which saved me money. The cost for this fix was beyond reasonable, at least $100 less than if I'd taken the computer to a big box store or even our local computer gurus. And he provides a 30 day guarantee. I will definitely use this service in the future if I run into trouble again.

He wasn't able to fix my computer. He was really sweet. He even called me back two weeks later and we tried to fix it again. He said if I decide to reset it to the factory setting, if I call him, he'll walk me through it. He was really, really sweet.

Fine. The laptop works better now - especially the Microsoft Office. The service tech was very punctual with his call, and also very patient with my wife's questions. He mentioned that the laptop had insufficient memory for the demands that we were placing on it, and that at some point in the near future we might want to consider finding a suitable replacement.

He responded by email and let me know that they provide a computer service to repair computer's over the phone. Their office was in Denver and we need somebody locally to come out or so that we can drop it off. Our computer is not coming on at this point. We contacted Angie's List for a refund.

Appointment got off to a rocky start when he missed the start time . . . contacted him . . . he replied and said he'd scheduled a different time for me . . . rescheduled . . . then started ahead of the rescheduled start time . . . apps still crash from time to time, hoping when Windows 10 comes out and I install it, these problems will resolve themselves.

We had a lot of problems on our computer, and he stuck with us through multiple phone calls to get everything fixed. I am very satisfied with the service I received. I am sure if we would have taken our computer somewhere else it would have cost a lot more, as it has in the past with other companies.

They guy made two appointments with me. He couldn’t keep either one. He had really good reviews so, I called him. I told him I was going into surgery and that I was going to get a refund. He called me back and said he wanted to get this done for me before my surgery. He was wonderful. He was so knowledgeable and gave me information on my computer. He was a very nice person and very congenial to work with and had very nice manners. I enjoyed working with him.
