My Remote Repair

Garry did a great job on cleaning up my desktop. Took control of my PC for about 1 hour, during which time he call back twice to let me know just what he was doing. Professional, prompt service. Can't beat the price $49, I would recommend

Well, I submitted a review previously that was not very positive, so I would like to correct it. When my original problem recurred a month after the remote repair, I wrote a review before allowing the provider to correct the problem. When he contacted me, he explained that the original problem was not actually with my computer but with my internet provider. I had not understood that the first time around. I did finally have to contact my internet provider. But Remote Repair gets an A review, based on the overall experience!

Gary was punctual, didn't waste a lot of time, worked with my crazy schedule, and called me back to verify everything was fixed. For the person that needs something fixed quickly and completely without the loss of their computer Gary's service is invaluable. I work out of my home plus I have 7 kids that use two other computers for homework. Our computers are crucial to both our income and my kids lives, Gary helped with minimal impact to our on going needs. Trust me, you wont go wrong using his services, best deal out there!

It was good. I had him come out a month or 2 ago. When I called him he was actually able to help me out even before I purchased the deal and then I subsequently bought it I think a day or two after. I spent exactly $99 for him to remotely help me with my computer and he fixed some storage problems. He was very trusting as well and I was impressed.

Fair experience. Could not identify the problem. Just "cleaned" the computer in case there had been a virus.

I contacted My Remote Repair, and scheduled a time for a call the next day. Gary called at the scheduled time, and made a remote connection to my computer.. After considerable time studying my problem, he concluded that the Windows and Internet Explorer programs were corrupted, and the only solution would be to re-format the hard drive and re-install my programs and data. He backed up my data files to another drive, and told me how to re-format my computer hard drive. I had never made backup discs, but was able to do the re-format with phone assistance from a Lenovo technician. After this was completed, I reinstalled most of my programs and then called Gary. He re-installed my data files and carefully checked my computer. My system is now working perfectly, and I have not lost any of my data. I would recommend Gary at My Remote Repair to anyone who needs help with a computer problem.

Everything went great, Garry and I talked several times working on all my issues. He was very understanding of my busy schedule. He got the computer back up and running and did some research and found me a nice reasonably priced backup program. I could not of been happier. Thank you very much Garry.

It was a fine experience. He was very pleasant and the computer worked fine after he had worked on it, since I had good results from the computer. He was also the cheapest one available at that time.

I had tried and tried to download the latest version of Adobe Flash with no luck. I kept running into a problem with the download I could not solve. I searched the 'net for a solution, and realized it is a common problem, but found no good answer. Then I called a couple of local computer repair services to make an appointment to take my computer in. (In all my ample spare time, right?) No return call. I had a flyer from Angie's List, and thought why not. I went to Angie's website, and found a great discount coupon for remote IT services from My Remote Repair. I bought it, and Garry from My Remote Repair emailed me very promptly. We set an appointment time that was convenient for both of us, despite the 4 hour time difference. Garry called right on time, and within 30 minutes solved the problem. No loss of data, no problems. I would like to mention that the three local companies I called to take my computer in have not yet even returned my calls. Garry and My Remote Repair are highly recommended.

He fixed my problem with my laptop and printer by using remote access. This is the way all computer repair should be done. We got on the phone, he told me to go to a website so he could connect with my PC and after that it was easy sailing. If I had taken my pc to get it fixed it would have been significantly more expensive and I would have been without my pc for 3 to 5 days. By using this remote repair it was fixed in 15 minutes WHILE I WATCHED.

First, this was a $49 special offering on Angies List. I use my computer for business and it had "crashed". I was in desperate need for a quick fix, so when I was told that the price would be double, presumably because this was a more difficult job than was offered by the special., I quickly agreed. In order to attain a "fix", it was necessary to clear my computer of all information, and start over, i.e., a reinstallation as though this was a new computer. Gary was very professional, and the job was completed. However, at start up my computer is still taking way too long to get online. At least, I can get online. I feel that it would be helpful and fair to explain what the $49 charge represents when offering this and other "specials" I'm uncertain how to change the amount charged on my credit card from $49 to $98 to reflect the upcharge.

I purchased the big deal coupon for this service and it went very well. I really appreciated all their efforts because they really tried to. I took my printer to someone else that I had just engaged it from, and when they tried, it was working fine and that was so weird.

I had a virus that was starting to take over my computer. I had a virus a few weeks ago that my name brand antivirus program took care of, but at double the cost Garry wanted. Garry's response at getting back to me to set up an appointment was exceptional. Within 24 hours of placing the order, he took over my computer,cleaned it up, and installed a malware program to help me track any future unwelcome programs. Also, it was so much easier to deal with someone that I could understand. I will definitely recommend Garry to my family and friends, and will not hesitate to call him if I have any future problems. After a slight mix-up on time zones we finally connected and he took over the computer and cleaned it up from pop-ups and other "junk". Garry is very professional and I would recommend him to anyone with problems in a heartbeat. Because it took some extra time for the printer I had to go for an extra hour but it was well worth it. Worked to try to download the standard Comcast Norton antivirus but encountered problems, so downloaded an alternative software recommended by Garry.

It took along time to do because my laptop was so messed up but he was very nice in walking me step by step through the process.

He called at precisely the agreed upon time, and did his best to resolve my problems. After at least 2 hours of effort, my machine is now running much better than it was. But the total problem could not be resolved without upgrading to a newer operating system ... which could not be done remotely.

after working w/ Garry for several weeks and working w/ AT&T on multiple chats and onsite repair we agreed that the system was not salvageable. Even w/ the new system, had multiple calls to Dell to get the new system to work. Although no one was ever able to figure out what happened, it's a relief to have a working system again. Will definitely work w/ Garry again in the future and continue to recommend him to others.

I actually needed a new computer, so I could not use the deal. I really appreciated his honesty.

Although he didn't have the appointment on his calendar, and I called him after 15 minutes to see if we were still "on", he apologized and handled the appointment professionally. Did all I asked of him and offered to return to the issues if the fixes didn't work.

He called to arrange appointment, we set up time. He was punctual, asked what I wanted him to do, did all the things that I needed to clean up my home desktop and laptop. He answered my questions. Very professional.

Gary was excellent! He was prompt and efficient. It was really nice that he worked with us on the weekend because we are very busy with our family. I would use him again.

Garry is extremely professional and patient. He took care of all my problems and also gave me advice on which he thought would be the best antivirus for me. My computer is running great. I told Garry since I seem to have trouble with computers he is now officially my IT guy. I intend to use him again in the future.
