Daniel and his crew were very gracious and respectful. It was their professionalism that earned my trust. I knew the basics of what I wanted but I trusted Daniel's 17 years of professional landscaping experience which made all the difference. I'm so glad that he offered suggestions because he is very good at landscaping, which I am not. I would highly recommend you let him use his exceptional artistic skill. There is no way I could have visualized what he created. He is VERY GOOD at what he does. Daniel and his crew exceeded all my expectations and the experience and outcome I received was worth every penny. They took very good care of all aspects of the job from design to project management to follow-up. Very responsive, courteous, and talented workmanship! I wish I could upload pictures. I am very proud of my new outdoor living space. You would be amazed!!!

I wrote a glowing review of Daniel and his landscaping company last year following a pondless waterfall installation in our backyard. They did a great job, went above and beyond for us, and we couldn't have been happier with the service and the work. Since then, however, Ive had several poor experiences with Daniel and I feel like I need to amend the original review out of fairness for anyone looking to hire this company. After a few months, our waterfall began leaking and over the past year, we've had leaks on at least 6 occasions. Daniel's crew has come out to search for and repair the leaks on multiple occasions. Supposedly as the ground settles around the dirt and large boulders, leaks in the waterfall liner are bound to creep up. Fine. We would have appreciated knowing this was a possibility around the time of installation, but were never told to expect leaks. Communication with Daniel over the past 6 months about these leaks, and now a new landscaping project we want done, has gotten increasingly frustrating. Daniel has set up an appointment with me several times, only to no-show completely. I have given him several chances to redeem himself and he has dropped the ball. We needed another landscaping project bid and I gave Daniel the first chance at it, but he again was as no-show for the appointment we had and has never returned my last phone call. What aggravates me the most is that I make the mistake of recommending him to a good friend for a pondless waterfall after she commented how she liked ours. They hired Daniel based solely on my recommendation and it was a huge job; bigger than our waterfall and I'm sure very expensive. They've also gotten the run around now that their waterfall is leaking, as well. I feel so badly I recommended such an unprofessional company.

Daniel is quite simply the real deal. He is a gifted and hard-working landscaper, who settles for nothing less than perfection.I couldn't possibly be more thrilled with his creative vision of my front yard, and his crew's great work.He's also a genuinely good guy to work with; a great listener and very professional.Do yourself a favor and HIRE HIM. I feel extraordinarily fortunate to have found his company, and you will be too!JMK

The finished project exceeded my expectations. I solicited 4 bids and received 3. Daniel's was hands down the most creative and responsive to my wants and needs. He also was the best priced. He has a wonderful sense of design and his suggestions, his sense of space and product, enhanced the project. I wanted something other than pavers and the flagstone is drop dead gorgeous. The kitchen has a lovely curved design which he tied into the patio and the walkway. He eliminated some of his proposed design elements at my request and substituted others. His employees were incredibly hard working and polite. I like that they work a project to finish and don't project hop. The job site was cleaned up well and completed on time and at budget.With a project this big, there are always some bumps (mostly in communication) but nothing that wasn't easily and quickly solved. I would recommend Daniel to others and plan on working with him on phase 2 and 3 in the future. He is a gentleman and a talented designer.

I called the number provided for Daniels Landscape and Design. The person answering the phone asked me to call another number to schedule an appointment. Left a message at the other number and received a prompt call back and scheduled a day (Friday 6/20) and time (10:00AM) for an estimate..No show, no call. Very frustrating to rearrange my schedule for an appointment without even a courtesy call to let me know they can't make it, aren't interested, too busy?

There is definitely some confusion as to what the Deaniel's deal covered. I gave Daniel good scores for punctuality because he was here when he said he would be. He was polite while we walked around my front yard and chatted about what I would like to see changed. I told him I was interested in knowing what he could see being done. He had me write down my name, address and email address in a notebook and then left. That was it! I waited over a week and never heard anything back, so I called and left a message asking about any plans he might have come up with. He called back and said he had emailed them to me that morning. I explained I never got them. Then I waited another week and started to email them (so they would have a return email) asking when I would be receiving my landscaping plans. Jennifer Lopez called me in another week and asked what I meant by and quot;plansand quot;, so I replied, and quot;Well, any ideas he might have or an estimate of any kind......and quot; She said she would get me an estimate and that they didn't send the actual designs. I told her her I understood and that was fine. She also said they would not be able to do any work until June and I told her that was also fine. I have heard nothing since. I do know that Daniel asked me what kind of budget I had and I told him that since I had always done my gardening myself, I really didn't know what a reasonable budget would be. He then asked if I was thinking of large boulders in my yard and I laughed and said, and quot;No, that definitely would be too expensive!and quot; So----------maybe my needs weren't grand enough??? I have no idea what happened. Daniel's seems to have received numerous good reviews, so I am just trying to figure out why it didn't work for me and my yard. I was really looking forward to seeing the yard brought back to it's previous glory :-(

Daniel's Landscaping did a wonderful job! Our backyard was a dirt pit! He hardscaped it with flagstone and built two beds on either side of it. We also had some ugly concrete stairs and he built new ones in flagstone with a 3 x 3 foot landing at the door. It all looks beautiful. They also made sure the backyard would drain well and installed two drains. They were always here when they said they would be and worked very hard all day. They finished our entire job in less than a week. Very professional as well!I would definitely use them again and recommend them to everyone.

We had a copy of the way we wanted it by planting shrubs, trees and other things. He gave us an estimate and the reason we picked him were his reviews on Angie's List. It took several times of calling or emailing to get a response from them.

We are thrilled with Daniels Landscape and Design and highly recommend them. Bottom line, they provide high quality work for a reasonable and moderate price. Daniel listened to our needs and came up with a beautiful design, incorporating everything we wanted - and when asked, he added wonderful suggestions and ideas we hadn't thought of. And when we had to cut back on the budget a bit, Daniel was resourceful and creative and the end product is just as beautiful as we had hoped. Also, of the four bids we received, Daniel was the only one who returned his bid in a timely fashion, as promised.Daniel and his crew were always punctual, very professional, friendly and cleaned up at the end of each day. A crew member even once offered to help me carry my groceries to the house. We loved that Daniel himself was on the job every day, either helping or providing oversight. More importantly whenever I called Daniel with questions or if I had an issue, he responded immediately by phone or came back to our house in a timely fashion. At one point I noticed that the shape of the sidewalk they were laying was different from the design Daniel and I had talked about. I talked to the crew, then called Daniel. He came right over and reworked the shape and curve of the sidewalk with me and had the crew start over. Daniel has high standards of quality and design and no detail goes unnoticed!

The guys were very respectful of the property and made sure to clean up when they were finished. While the drainage hasn't been tested yet, it looks great and the guys worked quickly to get it done. So far I am very happy with the work and would bring them back to do other landscaping jobs for me.

The initial appointment in March was delayed because of snow. The second appointment about four weeks later in April was a quick look and rough measurement of the backyard area, and a question of what we thought we might want done and what kind of budget we wanted to stay within. We hadn't heard anything for a couple weeks and sent an email. Later in June, I had a call from Daniel's wife to find out if we had received our information. We hadn't. Their internal person said that he had sent the cost estimate in June. I asked her to re-send, the email address was correct. We received the cost estimate, but no conceptual drawing of what the design or layout of the work might be. We didn't pursue the issue any further. An estimate would have been without cost, so I paid $100 for the estimate, but did not receive any drawing to 'see' what layout was being proposed.

I didn't know what I wanted but I described to Daniel what I liked and didn't like. He is a good listener. He came back to me with a phased plan; phase 1 to be implemented immediately in October and a 2nd phase to be implemented in the Spring. He suggested a stone wall edging for the front and back yard which was beyond my expectations. Daniel and his team did a fantastic job with installing the wall, laying down sod, building up the flower beds, laying down gravel, laying down mulch and planting trees and bushes. I am looking forward to Daniel completing the 2nd phase in The Spring.

Daniel's crew fixed our erosion problem by bring in several large granite boulders and placing them on the hillside where the erosion was occurring. It looks excellent and actually is aesthetically pleasing. The crew also installed irrigation & brought in a few tons of river rock to compete our xeriscaping project in the front yard. We love it~!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I wasn't very crazy about these guys. I thought I was going to get more out of the consultation. He did follow up with me in the time frame he said he would. He did come out relatively quickly. I didn't really feel like he was really listening to what I was wanting. He just sent me an estimate with 4 line items. I guess I wanted more options. He wasn't bad. He was fine. I was just expecting a little more. We discussed a patio which I did not want to hardscape and he thought we should do a flagstone with grouted cement. I didn't really want to do that. He sent me a estimate about a week after he came out.

I really did enjoy Daniel. If we go ahead with the work I will for sure contact him!

Daniel was very prompt in response to our request for a planning/estimate walk through of the issues and had good ideas to share on the pathway and the different new plants. The detailed estimate was delivered within a few days and our questions and adjustments were addressed quickly and to our satisfaction. The pricing was competitive with others we received. We discussed timing to get the work done and agreed on dates that worked for both of us. The crew arrived when expected. The first day was committed to getting the pathway done and it was done quickly and professionally, and looks and works great. On the second day the plants were removed and new plants took their place. We checked the new plants for quality and spacing before the work was done and were completely satisfied. Daniel was there both days at the beginning to make sure the crew was set and knew what was expected of them. When the work was done Daniel did a walk through with us to ensure we were satisfied and that there were no issues. We were impressed by how quickly and professionally the work was done. Daniel takes great pride in the quality of the work and materials. We would not hesitate to contract for his work in the future and would highly recommend him and his crew to anyone.

Bob came out and have a quote/design. Jennifer, Daniel's wife, followed up on the quote and then Daniel came out to go over my questions etc. in the end we had a good plan and they were able to start earlier than expected. Really I just let Daniel do what he wanted because it was very evident to me that he takes pride in his work and knows what he is doing. In the end it was better than I could have imagined/hoped for. I plan to post pictures if possible... I think the key to working with Daniel is to agree on a budget and the needs of the owner and then give him creative license to create his masterpiece. At one point he came by to see how things were going and was not pleased with the flagstone. (Nearly 1/2 complete). The next day he had his crew remove it and start over!!! I didn't even see the problem with the original- until I saw what he expected... Amazing ;) the other thing I like about the company is that the crew is either part if Daniel's family it he treats them as though they are. It's a good group to support. I couldn't be happier with my yard :)

My front yard is beautiful!!! They worked hard. It took a little over a week to do.It was expensive but very very well done.They replaced the tree that died soon after they left.They put in a lightbulb in my motion light at their cost, so I could see the steps at night.They have come back to show me how to turn off the sprinkler system.

Great person to talk to and bounce questions off to about landscaping.

I liked the owner of the company and I liked the fact that even though I didn't call them the second time, they called me back. I liked the professionalism and the fact that even though he gave me a design work, he came back to review it for my husband on our time.

At first, response from this company was good. Daniel called me right away to make an appointment. But on the day of the appointment, he called to let me know that he could not make if due to a family emergency and that he would call me soon to reschedule. A couple of weeks went by and I had to call him to get an appointment scheduled. Cory came out June 18th to discuss my ideas, measure, and take pictures. He told me that he would have something for me in a few days. I received an email bid on July 5th with an estimate of almost twice the price of what we spoke about. I thought it was the wrong bid. After several attempts calling Corey and leaving messages, he finally called me back a couple of weeks later. He said it was the correct bid. Since it was so much more money and I had no idea of what his bid would look like, he told me he would send me drawings/pictures of what he had in mind in a few days. That was the last that I have heard from this company. I paid $99 for a $250 big deal that would go to my credit if I used the company. Instead, for $99, I got an estimate that told me/showed me nothing. The estimate was not worth $99. What a rip-off!

Called and made an appointment for him to give us an estimate and ideas about how to do the job. He arrive promptly and said he would get back to us the following week. After two weeks of not hearing from him we called and left a message at his office requesting an update. It haas been another week and he or his staff didn't bother to return the call.

It was weird because he didn't give me anything besides a breakdown of the costs. He showed me a picture, but wouldn't give anything to me that I could use, like a diagram.

I was disappointed with this service. When the gentleman came to the property, I told him what I had been thinking about doing with the landscaping. However, I hired them to give me a design from a professional landscape company. I really wanted some guidance on the best way to save water, create shade and some advice on what kinds of trees to get. But, all they did was provide me a design with my ideas on it. I don't think they spent anytime actually figuring out what would work best for the property. If I just needed a print out with my ideas I could have done that myself and saved myself $99.

They were very helpful matching tile to existing materials, and suggesting decorative accents. Tile was not in stick but got ordered by the next day. They took back the extra material that I did not need after the work was done, too.
