Master Blaster Plumbing & Drain LLC

This company charges $120 for the service call outside the 470 corridor. I purchased a $20 service call deal and they said it would be $120 to come out. That was not clearly indicated on their deal page. Just something to keep in mind.

The appointment was scheduled promptly after I contacted the company, and I was able to get a Saturday appointment. The plumber was very professional, replaced the tubing with the bar faucet which was greatly appreciated. The price seemed high- the company charges by the work not the hour, don't which is best method for the consumer. Overall pleased with the work and glad I hired a professional.

We called Master Blaster for a second opinion on installing a shut off valve on our fridge line. The first plumber said it was impossible and he would have to cut a hole in the basement ceiling to install a valve. The technician was able to install the valve on the copper tubing without cutting a hole in the ceiling. I would definitely use Master Blaster again.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. It didn't really work out well. He came out the next day. He was responsive. About 3 days later, it went out again and it was leaking so obviously it was on its way out when he checked it so we hired somebody else to replace it. We can't really say that he didn't know what he was doing but he didn't catch it.

The service was great. The provider was able to come to the house within a couple of days to fix a leaking toilet. My only complaint was the price. The service took about 30min, but I was charged for a whole hour.

The plumber who arrived at my house was very nice and knowledgeable. However, the receptionist failed to tell him that I wanted my new sink and faucet installed, so he arrived alone for what needed to be a two man job. All he knew about was the faucet, so he could not do the work that day. When he contacted his company, I was told each plumber would receive $217 for the first hour of work, and $150 for each subsequent hour. I had no idea how long the job would take, but two hours would have been $734.00, which I thought was very expensive. The plumber also suggested that I try to remove the existing caulking around my sink myself, which I could not do as my hand was in a splint due to having surgery - in all honesty, I think he was trying to be helpful and maybe save me some money. I ended up hiring a company that Home Depot contracts with. They showed up on the dot, the work was extremely well done, and they charged me $314.00. I am very glad that I shopped around!

Eric provided excellent, professional service cleaning our slow drain system for the $99.00 quoted without trying to sell all kinds of additional services. He was clean, friendly, careful and we were very pleased..in fact, the best of this type of service we have ever had and we do this on a regular basis. We highly recommend this company and will use them in the future for other needs.

While getting ready for work, my husband noticed our water was coming out cold during his morning shower. He tried to do what he could to test/fix it but nothing worked. We got online with Angie's List and looked up a few plumbers and started calling them. One was unavailable immediately, but Master Blaster said they could come the same day our water heater went out, which was important to us! They said the water heater should last us quite awhile longer, that just the thermal coupler needed to be replaced so they installed that and we were back up & running and were very satisfied as we were very worried it would need to be fully replaced.

I had a slow running kitchen drain and Mike tried to open it but found dirt in the line. They did a camera inspection and found an area outside the house completely blocked with dirt, diagnosing a broken pipe. They removed a 6 foot piece of my fence, dug a hole 4x4x4, cut out the damaged cast iron pipe and replaced it with a new pipe. They backfilled and reinstalled the fence, and finished the same day. Mike and Mannie were a wonderful team. Although the price was a shock, as any major home repair is, it had to be done and I was glad they were able to do it so quickly and efficiently.

Ordering service was fine. I mentioned in comments that I had two slow drains, one toilet that sometimes plugs and concerned about tree in front yard causing problems for sewer line. Looking for examination of same to see what needs to be done. Gentleman came out and asked me to say what was needed. I recited above issues. He told me he could not do sewer inspection until drains were cleaned. And guess what, their company cleans drains. But, that would be another guy and need to be scheduled. Then, maybe could do sewer line inspection.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. We were actually really unhappy with it. Basically you can find deals everywhere to get a rooter for $99 here and so we paid in advance for the Angie's List deal. They came out and they said that only applied to their trip fee. They charged us extra on top of that and did the rooter and then we ended up paying way more than when we would just had to find out of the phone book. From the Angie's List ad it seemed like we would pay there and that would cover the cost for them to come out. We ended up paying the $20 on Angie's List plus $100-something for them to do the rooter so it ended up costing us an extra like $50 or $60 for the service that we could have gotten cheaper from just about any company in the area. For punctuality, they were a little late. The quality was fine. They got the job done. I don't think it was that complicated. We won't use them again.

We have pex pipes. We were under the impression when you have these types of pipes it was hard for them to freeze. The plumber helped point out that where our kitchen line ran it was exposed to the harsh elements and that we needed to seal up a vent in the winter to help prevent the freezing. Things we learn as a first time home owner.

It went well. They always do a really good job. They are always really fast.

Ross is; 1) retraining the service man, 2) promising that a client will be called when a service person is enroute in the future if the client requests a call, 3) voiding my service call charge, 4) reimbursing me for the money I paid the other company for the repair.

We purchased a big deal for the service, and that worked out super for us. They were great, and they did a super job. I had to go to the store, and the guy went to the store with me, the experience was excellent. He was very easy to talk to, he went about his business, and he was very professional. Everything was outstanding.

Easy scheduling. Asked for two services: scope/clean sewer line and get an analysis of likely recurrent future issues and estimate to fix. Scope showed up first, on time. Analysis showed up about a half an hour later. Both professional, quick, thorough. Provided analysis of likely issues given the scope results (basically small section @ alley near where line joins main) and an estimate. Didn't push to have anything done, in fact made it clear that with routine maintenance everything should be fine. Easy, professional, not sure on price, would use again.

VERY GOOD WILL CALL AGAIN IF NEEDED

Everything went fine, they were in and out in about 30 minutes, and the drain now flows much faster than before. They were able to get all the gross hair out of there. Professional.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and I am satisfied. They were very acommodating, they extended the big deal for me. When I was ready to do the work, the master plumber who had done the camera work for me, had left to become a chef, and the person who was doing the cameraing was not a master plumber. So they sent a master plumber out. It was very kind of them to let me use the big deal when I was so late. The price was very good. They were good.

Originally contacted them because of their discount offer on Angie's List and the large number of positive reviews. Everyone I dealt with, from the friendly dispatchers to the knowledgeable and experienced technician, was great. Service was prompt, responsive and punctual. Pricing seemed to be fair and competitive, including for all the parts used. The technician explained what he was doing and why and got my approval before commencing the repairs. He took great care while working in our home and left it in great shape. Based on my experience, I would recommend them to anyone. I will definitely consider them at the top of my list whenever I have a plumbing issue!

$260 to change out a $30 part that took the service person 45 minutes to complete seemed extreme. However I was in a spot with family coming into town so at least he did better than his quote.
