He fixed the problem but I thought the cost was rather high. I have found the same to be true with every plumbing company I have used however.

The job went smoothly but took up the whole hour because Manny was very thorough in both the work he was doing and the recommendations on how to keep the drain clear in the future. Since he is a master plumber I asked him for advice on several other plumbing projects that need attending to. I really got my money's worth!

Our toilet kept running and we called the plumbing company listed above. We had purchased a coupon from Angie's List for the first 1/2 hour (I think) of the plumbers visit. We were under the impression our problem was a simple matter of replacing the mechanism in the tank and we were prepared to pay for extra time plus parts. However, it turned out that replacing the mechanism was going to take much longer and be much more expensive than we thought reasonable. I don't remember how much it was. We did not have the work done and we lost the cost of the Angie's coupon because it took 1/2 hour for the plumber to give us the estimate. We had the work done by a different plumber who was recommended to us by friends.

Master Blaster called immediately to schedule, and also called ahead the day of service to inform us exactly when to expect the plumber, Eric. He arrived at 3:00pm, and cleared our kitchen drain of accumulated sludge without much trouble. The bathroom drains, however, were more complicated and much more obstructed. After working until 6:00pm, Eric asked if he could return the next day to finish the job and we agreed. He was very courteous and informative, and helped us understand the problem. He made us his first service call of the day, arriving at 8:30am and finished the job at 10am. Because of the time spent and troubleshooting he had to do, we were pleasantly surprised that the additional cost seemed so reasonable. We feel Eric is the most knowledgeable plumber we have ever had. He explained how to maintain our drains and sold us a product to help keep them cleared. Our only dissatisfaction was the mess, although Eric did wipe up the goop, there was still black residue left behind, so we had to thoroughly bleach/clean the kitchen and bathroom floors and under the sinks after he left (hence the B grade for Quality).

checked out all 4 toilets for leaks, no porblems.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was fine. They were okay, but were only over here for about 15 minutes. For what they did I thought they were a little expensive because I did not have them do all the work that I thought they were going to do.

Guy came, quoted me 732.00 dollars and I decided it was way too expensive.

Snaked the sewer line. Very satisfied.

I was not able to use the deal because my issue was more of an emergency, but they were polite and professional when I spoke with them. I would certainly consider using them in the future.

This is more of an open letter to Master Blaster (MB) because good companies read their Angie's List reviews. And this is a really good company. We've used MB in the past and despite a couple bad apples earlier this year (who no longer work for MB), they have really taken good care of us. Manny and Eric are two excellent guys - I would trust them with any job. So when our disposal failed, we called MB first. We asked for a quote over the phone to replace our garbage disposal. I had already researched new disposals on Amazon and picked one out with great reviews, which other novices were installing in about an hour with little to no experience. Our unit that failed is hard-wired and considering the weight of these things and water being involved, I didn't want to screw it up. We've seen ads for disposal installs for around $100. Going into this, I'm thinking about prices - I would expect to pay $100 or even $150 for the service quality of MB to do a simple disposal replacement. $200 might be a stretch but these guys are good and they typically give 10% off if you mention Angie's list. So $180 would be on the high end of reasonable. I would totally pay that. Since we couldn't get a quote over the phone, Manny (who is beyond excellent) came out, took a look at it, checked his price sheet and said, "Oh, yeah, that's $389." "Does that include the disposal? We already bought one." "That's just the labor." Mind you, if novices are installing these things in an hour, I'm sure this can be installed in about a half hour by someone with experience. Manny agreed. So at $389 for this job and an estimate of about 30 minutes of work, they're effectively charging $778 an hour to perform this task. Just shy of eight *HUNDRED* dollars an hour to install a disposal. Say it out loud, say it to a friend! It's laughable. Their hourly rates are up to $217/hour now, which alone seems exorbitant. Sorry, I spelled "is" wrong. IS exorbitant. (I'm pretty sure they were $129/hour earlier this year - could be wrong. I know that was the quoted price to pull up our nasty sewage ejector and clean any prohibited items, ie: paper towels, out of the filter.) But even a one-hour rate for the install isn't that far out of the ballpark for what I was originally thinking. Needless to say, I was beyond shocked and told Manny we can't possibly pay that. That's the price of a full season ski pass! All I can possibly think of is that the rave reviews on Angie's List have gone to the heads of the owners of Master Blaster. "We have lots of 'A' reviews, we can charge anything!" Well, no, you can't. You could have made the reasonable $180 I listed above. Or something similar. Instead, you made $0. I really love these guys. Well, Manny. I love Manny. But now I'm going to install this thing myself with You Tube videos and go have an all you can eat lobster buffet and still have saved $200. **To note, I don't want to sound confusing here. We have received top notch service from Eric and Manny at Master Blaster. This company gets an A for communication, professionalism, quality, punctuality. Pricing on this job is a straight up F. We will always call these guys first but I am extremely concerned about what might be some price gouging. We have other jobs coming up that will require a plumber to re-install various bath lines/fixtures, reroute some business. I would love to give MB my business but if these prices continue, we'll have to consider one of the many other companies that also have A ratings.

No repairs were required, the plumber simply opened the p-trap and cleaned it out, but I was still charged the $99 flat rate for an hours work even though it only took a few minutes. I guess the upside, is there is a warranty that accompanies the work completed.

I had a main water line break, which involved major excavation of my front yard and 16 feet into the street. Of course the leak was on MY side according to the city so the cost was my responsibility. I was impressed by the coordination of the crews and the amount of work that was completed in one day. The city inspection, heavy equipment, filler, asphalt, piping, truck after truck arrived like clockwork. The crew was very polite and professional. A good portion of my front yard was dug up, and they had to dig 6 feet down in the yard and in the street too. Considering the extent of the excavation, after all the work was completed my yard was put back together in pretty good shape. The crew carefully moved the large decorative rocks, and bark and then replaced it all when they were done. The cost was major especially this time of year, but after calling around they were right in the ballpark if not a little cheaper.

The guys who showed were great. They took a look at everything I showed them and then gave me an up front estimate. Four months later I still have no problems from the work completed.

Called and was able to get a same day appointment, but that appointment had to be rescheduled as a job ran over. They showed up the next morning, confirmed the problem, gave a quote, and started working. Pricing was clear and fair, and work was done efficiently.

We purchased a hot water heater. It generally went well with a couple of exceptions. When the technician came to look at the job he estimated that there would be an additional $200 charge to add some components to bring the installation up to code the final amount was over $300. After removing our old heater he discovered that he had forgotten a part which took him several hours to secure. We had put aside some water so we were not too inconvenienced by not having water for several hours. The city inspector approved the work.

After getting estimates from other providers as well, we did not decide to have the work done until several months later. We chose another provider (with the lowest bid) to repair one of the sagging spots in the sewer line, leaving the remaining bad spot for a later time. Master Blaster is a good company and we regret having waited so long to write a report.

very good service; arrived on time and went right to work. Unclogged the drain, cleaned up the area and tested to make sure the drain was functioning properly.

They did a great job. Even snaked a couple of other drainage pipes without charging extra. Excellent service and went above and beyond the coupon we had purchased. Would use them again.

They came promptly to fix a leaking faucet in shower. When the man arrived, he indicated that I didn't need the coupon as they had a "better deal" that would save me more money. He repaired the faucet, but used only one or two pieces in a faucet kit; he intended to take the remaining parts. However, the faucet didn't work and he ended up having to use the entire kit for the repair. I wouldn't have known this unless I had returned to check on his progress. I'm uncertain why, but something didn't feel right about the experience. The faucet was fixed, promptly, and I was pleased with that. P.S. I guessed at the service date; I have no idea when it actually was.

It took about an hour. I will have to get my drain field fixed - some of the pipes are blocked. They're good guys, I've used them in the past. He did recommend a company that would be able to do that for me.

The condo I live in appears to have an issue with the kitchen plumbing for my building clogging the kitchen sink drain. Mike came in and dove right in and removed the standing water and ran the snake down to clear the clog. The condo next door was also affected by this clog so really he cleared it for both of us. There was an issue where the neighbors pipes under the sink was shook loose and he went over there and fixed it for her as well. Took maybe 1 and 1/2 hours as the clog appeared to be very deep in the pipes. He used all of the 75 foot of the snake to get it cleared. He was very friendly and they came over within an hour of me calling for help. I would recommend using them again. In the past I had also used them to clear up a leak in my guest bathroom toilet and although it took several visits they took care of it and it works great now with no leaks. :)

These guys were very professional and punctual (even in the snow!). They appeared to be very knowledgeable and were very good at communicating what they were doing and why (which I really appreciated). Their work was efficient and neat. It was a snowy, messy day and yet they were very respectful of our home. I will definitely be hiring this company again!

I have a tankless water heater that I have had for several years. I had also been paying another large plumbing company to service the tankless water heater on a yearly basis but I was not happy with that service and did not feel they were doing the job. So when I saw the big deal from Master Blaster Plumbing to service and descale the heater I jumped on the offer. Manny from Master Blaster did an amazing job he took the tankless heater apart and cleaned it out completely along with descaling it he explained in detail what he was doing and was very professional. The tankless has not worked this well in several years! I will be using Master Blaster in the future for ALL my plumbing needs as there is no substitute for honesty and getting the job done right. Thank you again Manny!

I've had plumber after plumber come out here and no one has been able to clean it as well as Master Blaster. The biggest thing that Master Blaster did was give me an economical way to maintain the drain after they left. It is a very old house and it has been impossible to keep the drain clean. The drain after the cleaning has never been better in the 19 years I've lived here. There was absolutely no mess and anything that he did mess up was cleaned up before he left. The job was done exceedingly well. I highly recommend them.
