Johnson Garage Doors

A great experience: I had never heard of these guys, but I called the number and left a message. They called back in an hour and I described the problem. They quoted a price over the phone and we set the appointment for the next day. I had a change in plans the next day and had to leave before they showed up so I called Nate to let him know. When I got home, the problem was fixed and he left n invoice for exactly the amount he quoted. Now that's service! From initial phone to fixed garage door was 27 hours with zero hassle and no surprises

The initial service call was in mid-November. I called Nate in the morning and he answered his phone and said he could be out to my house in a few hours. Other companies I called all went to voicemail. He arrived on time, diagnosed the problem as bad rollers (rollers were over 20 years old.) He changed all out, lubed the tracks and the doors worked perfectly and noticeably quieter. Then just today 1/12/15, two of the rollers popped out on one of the doors, as my wife was closing it. As a result the door became jammed and slightly warped, in addition to the opener bar being bent way out of shape. I called Nate early in the morning, said he'd be out at 200PM. He arrived on time, fixed the problem and did a few extra things and did not charge me a cent. I believe Nate is the owner and only employee. He runs a good company and he knows how to treat his customers well. You'll be totally pleased if you use him.

I had purchased a big deal for the service. He did the work, he was personable, and seemed to know what he was doing. I was not happy about that. I asked him if he could put the steel springs, and he quoted an outrageous amount of money, and I had just moved here and had it done. They were good as far as being on time, and doing a good job. I was not aware of the quality of replacement parts in the deal. They are loud, and you can hear my garage for aways. When I asked for metal frames and stuff, the cost was so high, that I would have to do competitive bids on them. They did what they said they were going to do and it was my fault that I did not understand exactly what it entailed and that it was going to be a replacement. He seemed to know what he was doing, he was on time, and was knowledgeable.

The whole experience was nothing but great! Nate answered the phone quickly and fixed the problem quickly. Nate explained the problem very clearly and was most likable, courteous and honest. Nate was on time which I always appreciate. When Nate was finished with the job he explained how everything worked in a very succinct and understandable manner. I could not have asked for more in a first time visit. I highly recommend Nate and Johnson Garage Doors!

I had noticed that our one-car garage door (no electric opener) seemed to be getting heavier which indicated to me that the spring likely needed some adjustment. Also, on our two-car garage (with an electric opener) would tend to and quot;jumpand quot; up and down (back and forth in the track) as the door was opened or closed. I searched for a company on Angie's list and found Johnson Garage Doors' offer for a $45 tune-up per door. I read some of the reviews then purchased two tune-up certificates and asked them to call me to schedule a time. I didn't hear anything after a week so I called. Nate picked up right away and was able to schedule something for the next day.Nate called before heading to our house and arrived in the expected amount of time. Before he came to our front door, he had already looked at the outside of the garage doors and had an idea of what needed to be done before doing a closer inspection. Upon further inspection, he confirmed what he was thinking (spring and alignment adjustments) plus he found a few other needed adjustments. He also checked the electric garage door opener and made adjustments as needed. The one-car garage door is now level, opens and closes easily, and latches correctly when in the down position. The two-car garage door now opens and closes smoothly once again.Nate was there 20-25 minutes and gave me some maintenance tips plus told me of some other things to watch for. He suggested that the rollers on the two-car garage door were not the best but they would likely last for the life of the door. When I gave him an opportunity to offer to replace them, he indicated that he could but it wasn't really necessary. I commend him for his honesty.Please note: A small number of reviews indicate that Johnson never contacted them. When I asked Nate about it, he explained that the Angie's List website had been experiencing some issues and that providers were not being notified that there was pending business for them. Lesson for others: Once you purchase the tune-up, call Johnson Garage Doors to schedule a time rather than waiting for them to contact you. Hopefully the website issues will be resolved in the near future.

Excellent service and responsiveness. Was able to arrange a visit same day of call. Total time spent with repair under an hour. The garage door is running like new again. Price I felt was very reasonable for services. I would recommend and use this provider again.

After multiple contact attempts, the service provider was unresponsive.

Turned up my garage door and it moves like butter. No squeaks! He also realigned it and lubed all the rollers. He also attached the major chain pully thing which wasn't installed properly. Great job!!!

Nate gets top points for answering his phone on a Sunday afternoon! He was courteous, said he could make it to my house within the hour and then made it in about 30 minutes. He had everything he needed and was done in about 30-45 minutes. He cleaned up after himself, checked the other working parts on the garage door and made some suggestions. He didn't try to up-sell or add to his services. He came, he fixed and he was on his way.

I saw the coupon on Angie's list for a tune up and decided to call (at around 6pm) to see if they serviced our location. The call actually went straight to Nate and he said he could stop by at 7pm to take a look. He took a quick look and said he could have everything sorted out for $125. It took him about 30 minutes and the door closes much better now with very little gap at the top where before it was around a three inch gap. We are VERY pleased with the service and would definitely call them again!!

Nate replaced the remote sensor,tightened everything, replaced the bearings, and lubricated the rollers. I think Nate rocks!

Great experience. He showed up on time, got right to work, and even fixed some other things he noticed for me with no extra charge. As with the last time they were out, he was very informative, and showed me what he did, and things to watch for. He brought a couple of minor things to my attention, said they weren't critical, he wasn't pushy at all. I did them anyway, but I was not under any pressure

I thought it was pretty steep for what it was, but on the other hand it did take a long time, and I was happy with the service. I would use them again.

Didn't provide any service. Purchased coupon a week ago, called and left 2 messages and still have not heard from this company. Was very disappointed with this provider and question all the positive reviews. Definitely would not recommend. Had to call Angie's list for a refund.

It worked out well. He did a good job. He showed up on time. They checked everything out. He recommended that we lower the control just a little bit so it wouldn't take so much stress on the garage door and he did that. We're happy with that.

I purchased a Bid Deal for $39 for Garage Door Tune-Up + Safety Inspection! It was a good service.

It was excellent. He came in and said everything was fine and I didn't spend extra money. It was such an honest company. They were right on time and they're very professional.

The owner (Nate) of the company did all you would want from a service-related company. 1.) he honored an expired coupon, 2.) he told me the window of time that he would be arriving, and called 20 minutes before arrival which was exactly in the middle of his window, 3.) he had a professional appearance and attitude, 4.) he worked efficiently and cleanly, 5.) he explained everything that needed adjustment and what/where he lubed, and 6.) there was no up-sell (hard or soft). Smartly, he left his business card next to my garage door opener. I would definitely do business with this company again.

They are super profesional. I also had him come last July with another issue of the garage door, they are super responsive. They got in on time. He is super professional, he gave me the quote on the phone. and said these are the options of your garage doors and very clear on what the price was. He was very clear on when i needed to give him my choice. He came in and did his job.

The big deal from Johnson Garage Doors turned out great. There were no additional charges. The provided a tune up. They did what they said they would do and came on time. I would use this provider in the future if need be.
