He did a great job. Showed up on time, was very courteous/professional, did good work, took the time to explain what he did, and gave good advice.

Called and left a message for Nate. Had a return call within ten minutes. Nate asked for specifics and then led me through a diagnostic test over the phone, which ultimately fixed the problem. He could have taken the business I was willing to offer, charged me a service fee and an fix fee when visiting on site, but instead extended unprecedented service over the phone. I will most definitely call Johnson Garage Door when the next problem occurs, as a person like this clearly is not out to rob you bling like some service technicians.

I called Johnson Garage Doors because I found an ad and a 10% discount in our current Angie's List magazine.A spring on our garage door broke on Saturday night. I called on Sunday and Nate answered the call. He assured me that the cost for repairing the door was the same whether they came on Sunday or Monday. He asked about the type of door, gave me a price of $235, and promised to be at our house by 2pm. Nate called to confirm that he was on his way and arrived just before 2pm. He was driving a company van. He was friendly, professional, and finished the job in about 25 minutes. In addition to replacing the springs, he also adjusted the closer so the door fits tightly in its frame. I hope I do not need another repair, but I would call Johnson's again.My only concern is the pricing. During my initial phone call I asked Nate for a quote and then mentioned that I am a member of Angie's List. The price did not change. I was expecting a 10% discount, based on the company's ad in the current booklet. Nate explained that there is no service call (about $30) and that is a better deal than the 10% off. He also said that most customers get this price. I asked again when he arrived. He replied that most Angie's List promotions are a special deal on a particular service. He again mentioned no service call and said that customers who go to their website get that same promotion. But I deliberately did NOT mention any promotion when I called and the price did not change.The Angie's List coupon section says and quot;Advertisers must offer exclusive discounts to members.and quot; I do not think that Johnson's Garage Doors is offering an exclusive discount, if any discount at all. That is my only concern about my interaction with this company.

I moved into a house with a very old garage door opener so I wanted a tune up and safety check to be on the safe side. JGD was prompt, quick and efficient. There was no attempt to upsale which was very nice. I was told what to watch out for in the future considering the age and model of my garage door and opener. But was told all things considering it was in good shape. I will definitely call JGD when the need arises.

They did a great job. Nate was wonderful getting back with me and setting up the installation. His crew came out and did the job .They did great with everything but cleanup. I was cleaning up screws and debris from taking out the old door and track and installing the new one for 10 days. I cleaned up after they left, but kept finding things that could have damaged my tires for some time after. This was my only complaint, and I would call them again for future needs.

Couldn't have been better! What else could you want from a provider on a Sunday afternoon?

On Friday night, we experienced a catastrophic failure of our garage door. It started to go up, then fell back down and would not open. On Saturday morning, we called and, fortunately, the owner of Johnson Garage Doors, Nate Enyart, was able to come to our house within a couple hours. He quickly assessed the problem, which was that a metal bracket holding the spring had failed, and recommended replacing the 30-year old garage door, spring and tracks. He also managed to get the garage door open so we could get our car out. Nate had already scoped out our HOA and determined we needed a certain kind of door and was able to find one of the few remaining doors of that type and ordered it for us. The crew Nate sent to install the new door did a great job, but we later discovered that they had put one of the door panels in the wrong place. So we called Nate and he promptly came and personally fixed the problem at no extra cost. In short, we think Nate is very responsive, knowledgeable, personable and honest. We would strongly recommend Johnson Garage Doors to anyone who needs help with their garage door.

Arrived on time and quickly fixed my garage door, at a great price!

Nate was very polite and on-time. He called 30 minutes before the time of the appointments. When the wrong part was ordered by myself, he helped order the right one and came back to install it. Pricing was fair considering he visited multiple times to get the part replaced.

The appointment went well. No complaints whatsoever. Very professional and knowledgeable.

The garage door was working. However, the price for the tune up/preventive maintenance was a good one so I bought the deal. The worker was punctual and called when he was within 15 minutes of my house. He worked on the door about 1/2 and hour to 45 minutes. He adjusted one of the rollers. He tested the door and it seemed "ok". A few days later the door began making an ominous rumbling sound when opening and closing. The bolts at the end of the second horizontal brace were missing. I guessed they had both simply fallen out. My son replaced the bolts. The door worked fine once again. That night the ominous rumbling started again when I opened/closed the door. Another one of the bolts on another brace was dangling out of the brace hole. The bolt on the bottom side of the brace was missing, too. My son fixed that. Then we checked all of the bolts. In all, four additional bolts, including hinges, were loose. My son fixed them all. I mentioned that I had just had the door tuned up. He was incredulous that the door would be dropping bolts after a tune up. In hind sight I wonder why hadn't the tune up guy found the loose bolts? Why hadn't he checked all the bolts as part of the tune up?

He (josh) was telling me what he was doing as he moved through his work. Gave me some general comments about garage doors - things to look for in the future if I need to get another door. I heard an improvement as soon as he adjusted the balance of the door. There had been a gap at the ground when the door was closed, but he fixed that right away. All the work took 20 minutes. Very happy with this coupon.

I was very happy and surprised to receive a Saturday appointment. Josh came and repaired both torsion springs on my garage door. He knew exactly what to do so it didn't take long at all. He had all the tools and skill necessary for the job. What impressed me too, was he had various sizes of springs on his truck - eyeballing the springs on my door he called out a size, measured it, and he was right! Another thing that stood out was both Nate and Josh emphasized they stand behind their work with a 10 year warranty. I didn't hear that from other companies that I had researched. Josh was very professional, informative, and thorough. The service was all around great. A++

Service provider never showed up on the scheduled time and day. I sent email and called that number no answer.

They came out the very next day and arrived on time. The gentleman repaired the dent and had everything on hand necessary for the repairs. It only took him 1 hour to fix and I haven't had any problems since.

Very friendly, punctual and professional. Actually went above and beyond by readjusting our garage door itself - which was having issues. Would definitely use their service again! Thank you!

Provided service for an Angie's List deal that was purchased, included inspecting garage door, installing new rollers and providing other tune up services necessary.

My garage door had been making a lot of noise going up and down, and finally the left cable snapped. My call was answered promptly and Nate was able to fit me in the same day. He arrived exactly on time and was very professional. He went over the necessary repairs beforehand and completed the task within 30 minutes. He then reviewed with me the work he'd done and what might need to be done in the future but wasn't necessary now. He didn't pressure me to buy any coupons or suggest any work that wasn't necessary. Nate recommended replacing the right cable but didn't have an another one with him. He gave me a guarantee that when it finally broke, he would replace it at the same price. My garage door now operates efficiently and is much quieter. I recommend him and would use him again.

My tenant emailed Thursday evening to inform me the garage door spring broke. I wanted to do this repair myself but have been really sick the past few days, so I had to bite the bullet and pay someone to get it done. I was going to call the same company i used several years ago but upon checking their recent reviews, they lost my business. Johnson Garage Doors was my third call but the first company to actually answer the phone - early afternoon on a Sunday. I called at 1:33 pm and Nate had the job finished by 2:54 pm!!! WOW!!! Maybe I got lucky and called him at just the right time, but I continue to be amazed at how incredibly responsive he was. (And by the way, he was across town, so he had some commute time in there too!) Normally, I would supervise any repair I paid a professional to perform. I want to know I'm getting good quality work for what I'm paying. Since I was not able to be present for this repair, I can't speak to the quality of the work done, but my tenant seemed impressed when I checked in after the job was done. I trust Nate did a good job based on all the good reviews he has earned here but mostly based on my interaction with him on the phone. I really appreciated Nate keeping me informed from start to finish. He was very professional in every way: he communicated well, was prompt, incredibly efficient and he charged what he originally quoted me on the phone. I also appreciate his general advice about the condition of the rest of the door hardware. Nate didn't low ball me and then try to upsell me, he didn't say one thing and do another. I wish every repair service operated like Nate does - straight forward and efficient. I rated the price a B because Nate did not specify on the receipt he emailed me the make or model of the springs he installed. Although he offers a 10 year warranty on the work, I have no assurance the company will still be in business 10 years from now. So, not knowing the quality of the springs installed, I can't give the price an A. Moreover, I usually fix everything myself and hate paying someone to do something I can do myself. I could buy two springs for less than $50 ...and....Assuming the company pays the same price and marks them up 100%, I effectively paid $145 to have them installed. Sounds ok at first, but considering the work actually only took about 30 minutes, I effectively paid a labor rate of $290/hr!! When I first called, Nate mentioned he doesn't charge a fee for service calls, saving me $85, he said. Considering the service call "built into the price" still puts the labor rate at $205/hr. Even factoring in a premium of $100 for super prompt service on a Sunday, I still paid $105/hr. That's just too much for this work. In spite of this sound reasoning, the price Nate charged is a good fair market price. The "real" problem is the market price is simply too high to begin with and I acknowledge that's not Nate's fault. Whether or not you're not a do-it-yourselfer, I highly recommend this company/Nate; I don't think you can find better service for the price.
