On my way home from work I got a message from my wife saying the garage door wasn't working properly. I got home at about 5pm, and tried to see if I could figure out the problem, but couldn't. I called Johnson Garage Doors as they were recommended and available 24/7. They told me that would have someone out by 7pm and would call when they were on their way. I got a call at 6:15pm saying they were heading over and Nate, the gentleman who did the actual work, arrived about 6:40pm (during rush hour, no less). He was done by 7pm, and that included replacing the door rollers and adjusting the chain on the door. He also did a quick evaluation of the opener mechanism itself and provided a timetable for replacing it. He was very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this company and will give them a ring when I need to replace my opener. Also, visit their website. They will waive the service fee if you mention the ad on their website, which will save you $30.

They did not show up at the original times, but when I called them, they apologized and set up a time on the following Saturday. When Saturday came around, we had to reschedule again for Monday becuase his truck had been an in accident. When he did show up, he told me I needed new rollers, and gave me a good price, and did quality work. He was very apologetic for his tardiness. But he did great work and he was wonderful to work with.

The service provider came at the scheduled time/day, called me ahead of time, and was very good about servicing the garage doors. One of them required some additional equipment/expense, which he took care to show/explain to me. The other basically required a complete new opener (as I expected), which he was able to do for a good price just a day or two later. On the whole, I was impressed with his professionalism and excellent communictions, and it appears that he did top-notch work. Would definitely use these guys again.
Description of Work: Garage door #1 - basic tune up plus new rollers and some additional equipment. Garage door #2 - installed new opener (motor, remotes & keypad)

The service man arrived right on time, introduced himself, and went to work. He was very thorough in his testing and balancing of the garage door and the safety overides. He replaced the rollers, lubricated the door, and made a recommendation to add a stiffner on one of the sections of the door. We didn't take him up on that offer, but we probably will in the future. The service man was very polite, clean, and professional. He did his work quickly, and made sure that we were happy with the work. The door goes up and down wothout the squeaks and groans that it used to make.
Description of Work: We used a Big Deal coupon to have our garage door serviced and the rollers replaced. The service man balanced and lubricated the door, replace all of the rollers, checked the door opener operation and safety overrides.

Nate appeared at the specified time and completed his work in about 30 minutes. He was very professional, polite and personable. He will be my "go-to-guy" for any garage door repairs.

April 24 update: Nate was back out to reprogram the remotes and key pad. We appreciate his diligence to get the issue resolved. Well the garage door worked correctly before they showed up, now the garage door opens randomly even with the lock button on lock. They keep coming out and can't fix it. Follow up, while the garage door continues to randomly open, Johnson Garage door continues to come out and work on it and believes it has a repair to solve the problem.
Description of Work: April 24 Update; Nate came out agian today and reprogrammed the remotes and key pad in hopes of solving the random door opening. We do appreciate his diligence in getting the issue resolved. We called Johnson to come service our garage doors, replace the outside key pad and buy a new opener. The garage doors worked correctly before they showed up. Since they have been out to perform the work, the garage door randomly opens even with the the lock button on. They have been out twice to fix this and it still opens randomly. Follow up, while the garage door continues to open randomly, Johnson Garage door has continued to come out to attempt to fix. He believes he has a fix which will be implemented 4-24-2012, so we will see.

In my 10 years of personal experience in the field of garage doors I have only come across this problem 3 other times. Once a child had a missing remote in her room and would operate the door without the parents knowledge. Another time there was a short in the wiring to the operator and the last occurrence I never discovered the issue and had to replace the operator. With strange problems like this it takes time to rule out all the possibilities and I apologize for the inconvenience and hope to get this problem resolved as soon as possible. Nate Enyart

We became a member of Angie's List just a couple of weeks ago. When we saw that Nate listed a Big Deal for a new garage door opener and nylon rollers we decided to take advantage of it. Nate was so punctual! He called when he was on the way and got here within a couple of minutes of the time he stated. He did a wonderful job and he is such a nice man. He is very friendly and I would have him do more work in the not so distant future. We do need to install an opener on our other door and you can be sure that Nate is the one we'll call first!

He is such a nice individual. His demeanor and attitude and response was very professional.

We are very satisfied with Nate and his team at Johnson Garage Doors. From start to finish they're the best. We couldn't recommend them any higher, and we're sure you'll feel the same!
Description of Work: We first called Nate when the garage door at our rental condo went on the fritz. It was dead and stuck open. Our tenant was understanding, but obviously concerned. We were out of town and had no way to look at the problem, so we had to trust Nate and his team at Johnson Garage Doors. He fixed the problem with a roller or a track or something and charged a surprisingly reasonable fee. We were not only relieved, but impressed with his integrity, and his desire to build a long term relationship. We've recommended Nate and the crew at Johnson to several friends and business associates since then, and they've been impressed as well. So we always recommend them whenever someone needs a new door or opener, or has a garage door problem. Since that first tense night about a year ago we've had Johnson Garage Doors tune up & maintain the doors at our residence, and another rental home we own. We will be having an opener installed on our "3rd car" door this summer, and we'll be calling Johnson because we know Nate and his team have the expertise and integrity we look for when we need help!
