Johnson Garage Doors

We had previously hired Nate in the past for some work on our house. Today, my garage door opened but refused to close. I called Nate and explained the situation. Without hesitation, he walked me through how to remedy the issue. He was certain the instructions provided would solve the problem and said he'd be happy to come by should the instructions not work. Ta-da - his wisdom was dispensed and my garage door is again functioning properly. Simply, Nate's service and Johnson's Garage Doors is exemplary!

They were professional and I felt comforable with them.

On my first phone call Nate described the different options and the cost of each. We decided on an opener and he was available to come out the next day, but we scheduled it for the following week. Nate called and arrived within the appointment window (2hrs). He was professional and did a good job. He noted things that may need work in the future - but did not recommend doing those now. I liked that he did not pressure me into additional work, but let me know it might be needed down the road. He simply came and did what we agreed upon. If I need additional work on this garage door in the future, I would definitely call Johnson Garage Doors again. I got several quotes - this company was very competitive in pricing. Also offers discounts to Angie's List members.

We bought an Angie's list deal for a garage door service and new rollers. Nick was efficient and informative and made our garage door sound whisper quiet and it is now working beautifully. Thank you. You would highly recommend them and use them again if needed.

The coupon had an expiration date of January 12, 2013 and having made two unsuccessful attempts to connect I was pleased that Nate answered the phone. He was very nice and we made an appointment for the following week. The window was 3-5pm and Nate called at 3:45pm to say he'd be there in 45 minutes. He called me when he was outside my garage door. When I raised the door it was as smooth and quiet as could be. This had not been the case when I had purchased the coupon months prior. Nate commented right away at how well it sounded. He said he'd do his checking and call me when he was finished. About 10-15 minutes later I met him back in the garage. He told me what he checked, where he had lubricated, and we discussed the different parts and what kind of longevity still remained. He was absolutely professional, pleasant, and educated me on what to expect. I was impressed at his honesty and great attitude. He had driven quite a ways just for the $39, but he will be the one I call in the future!

The technician was professional, knowledgeable, and punctual. The service provided was as described on the Angie's List big deal. If I need my garage door serviced in the future, I will use them.

I came home on Friday to find the garage door wouldn't open. Upon a visual inspection, I saw that one of the torsion springs had broken. I called Johnson Garage Doors on Saturday morning, expecting to leave a voicemail so that I could set something up during the week. Nate called me back in less than thirty minutes and told me tha he could be at my house between 2-4 that afternoon. At 2 pm, Nate called me to tell me that he was on his way. The repair took 30 minutes. Nate replaced both torsion springs and reset a bracket that the home builder had put in the wrong location. I asked if they charge an increased fee for weekends, and Nate told me that their prices are based on them working a 7-day week. They offer a 10-year warranty. I will happily use them again.

Bought the "big deal" --- but was never able to make contact with this vendor. Had to cancel. Angie's List did so without a problem, but that means we never had any work actually done.

Nate did an excellent job. He answered my call at around 11:30 on a Saturday. I expected to set an appointment for Monday. He said he would be at the house between 4:00 and 6:00 the same day. He called around 3:45 to say he would arrive in about 20 minutes. Nate is professional and courteous. He quickly diagnosed the problem and gave me a quote, which matched his estimate over the phone. Twenty minutes later, he had the door working again. He explained the problem and mentioned the steel wheels on the door did not need to be replaced immediately, but they would probably last another three years. He answered all of my questions. Since the door was original to the house (about 18 years old), I opted to replace the wheels as well. It took him approximately 45 minutes and the door works great.

I paid Angie's List, called several times to schedule, no call back.

The door was quieter when he finished.

Garage door was not opening with remote. Had Johnson Garage Doors come out to inspect. turns out it was the remote which was not working correctly any longer. Technician did a safety inspection and replaced rollers. He acted in a very professional manner and had knowledge of the garage door workings. When it turned out the problem was with the remote he offered to replace it but he didn't have the kind of remote that I preferred.

They detected the problem I had been having without my having to bring it to their attention. Garage door has been functioning properly since.

The technician performed a complete and thorough inspection of the garage door mechanisms, He performed lubrication, etc. on springs, then advised me that no further work was necessary, but that within a year a main spring might have to be replaced. He was very curteous and professional. I was very pleased with the service call.

They never showed, never called, never responded...nothing. I am getting a refund.

Only complaint is that this was listed as a service in which the company was to contact you within 24 hours of purchasing the special offer and they did not call at all. I called them and made an appointment which did not get into their system so no one came out. When I called to find out what had happened, they came right out. Despite the appointment issue, I would call them again for any garage door issues or to replace any of the equipment.

Overall, I was disappointed. My garage doors are still noisy and in need of maintenance. I wanted to give Johnson a chance, but after 2 attempts to contact them after buying the deal on Angie's List I still have received no call to schedule service. I would still welcome your call

Very nice, clean, professional kid arrived to perform service on agreed upon day. Tried to sell me on a somewehat over-priced reallignment of the garage door opener, but otherwise a good service was provided at a fair price.

One of those necessary evils to fix and fix quickly. They were very accomodating and got here ASAP.

My garage door fell off the track. I called Johnson's and they sent a sub contractor to repair door. The individual was quick and efficient and charged me what he quoted.

The installer showed up on time and did a great job. He was quick, professional and very knowledgable. I'd definitely have these guys back to service my door again and would surely recomment them to anyone. My only complaint would be that they did not contact me after I'd purchased the deal and then did not contact me prior to the date of service. Other than that great company.

It went well. WAs on time, and he expalined some things to me along the was. Work performed was good.

I purchased a garage door tune-up through the Angie's List Big Deal. I never heard back from them. I sent multiple emails with no reply. Even Angie's List tried to reach out with no luck. I did get a refund, but I will not reach out to them again.
