I called to schedule the apppintment at 8:45pm on a Sunday night and someone answered the phone and scheduled me for the next day. I was impressed with the professionalism, responsiveness, and quality of the work performed. I would hire again!

Description of Work: I had frequent issues operating my garage door as it would stop intermittently. I called Clear choice garage doors as I had used them before and the tech who came in told that the garage opener and assembly has to be rehabed and quoted around $600. I sent him back by only paying visiting fees and called Johnson garage doors as I had used them before as well. Joshua, the tech who came in tuned up the garage door, made it functional and said there is nothing to worry about. It has been functioning normal many moths after that.

Description of Work: Replaced garage door spring and i hired them for additional work on the garage door opener. They recommended I obtain a supplemental key pad to work with my existing garage door openers instead of replacing the whole mechanisms with new garage door openers. this was less expensive and both systems are working fine.

I thought I had no chance of finding anyone to come out that night right before Christmas weekend, but Johnson Garage Doors called back within 30 minutes and arrived shortly after. They weren't able to fix the problem until the next Monday because the bar had to be replaced too, but he got the door open for us so we could get our vehicles out until then, which was great.

He also helped me set my truck up to automatically open the door, as well as getting my key pad working again after I had unprogrammed it. I will use Johnson's for all of my garage door needs.

Description of Work: The door sounded a little noisy before the tune-up. It was much quieter after. He greased the appropriate places, checked the tension, and helped me reset the keypad with a new access code.

+ -1 moreI called Johnson and left VM in the morning and they returned my call in less than an hour. I described the issue and was quoted price over the phone to repair. Joshua was the repair man for Johnson's and he was polite, prompt, professional, and very nice. He replaces the gear drive and adjusted the door tension for me in less than a 1/2 hour. Very pleased with the service.
Description of Work: Gear was shredded on Lift Master garage opener and would not drive door chain to open or close.

That never happened and I gave it a couple of weeks. I ended up seeking a refund. I could've pressed further but I've come to find that if you have to demand contractors to even start a job, it's just not a good arrangement. The reps at Angie's List tried to find an equivalent deal to move to me to but didn't have anything else available.
