Getting an appointment was simple and easy. And, even though he was right at the tail end of the window provided, I always knew what was happening and about when to expect him. Once here, Nate was professional and efficient. He did what he said he would do, did it well, and then went above and beyond by pointing out some things that had not been done right when the garage door was originally installed (and that I had missed seeing at all). What I really appreciated was that it was not an "upsell" -- these were actual problems, obvious even to me once pointed out, not just chances to make a buck. The problems -- poorly installed hinges, and poorly aligned wheels because of a badly installed bracket -- were quickly fixed for a very modest fee. This company is now definitely on my "call them again when needed" list.

The reason for my low rating boils down to communication. To begin with, it was a challenge setting up the appointment. Phone-tag went on for a number of weeks. I do admit my schedule is demanding and I'm not always available to answer the phone - however - Johnson Garage was just as unavailable as I was. As a business, its incumbent upon them to make it convenient for the customer - meaning, please invest some $$ toward an answering service or a receptionist! The other issue I have is that the only evidence I have of the work being completed was a sticker with their name and number inside my garage. I was never contacted after the work to confirm what they did, if they found anything related to safety or performance....nothing. I'd recommend you follow up with the customer after the work is completed to provide feedback, etc. Otherwise, it really feels like I paid $39 to get their advertisement placed inside my garage.

The man that came out was very Professional and courteous. He provide, exceptional service and answered ALL of my questions.

The garage works wonderfully. No noise except for the normal when it is in use.

We had purchased a big deal for the service. They did a good job, they checked all the stuff with the garage door, and they checked one of the roller that was coming out of the guide. They did what needed to be done to make sure that it was okay. There was one thing that he neglected to do. There was a little looseness and he had noticed it too, and he hadn't tightened two bolts, which I ended up tightening down after he left.

The service was professional and prompt. I would definitely use them again!

I walk with a cane and having to trek over snow or ice is very scary. I somehow unprogrammed my garage door opener and would have had to exit my car to open it manually. I had postponed this task and freaked out when I heard that snow was forecast the next day. I called Johnson around noon and a technician arrived a few hours later as promised. He was courteous, helpful and met all my needs. Price was more than reasonable. Will definitely use them again.

Don't know how it went because there has been a total lack of communicaiton. I have attempted to call at least 2 times and have left voice maill on both occasions and have yet to receive a call back.

He showed up on time was good at what he did and did more then I expected for my $39.00

I bought the coupon on Angie's for a tune up. The site asked for 3 preferred times and I entered. I never got contacted directly but ended up calling to make an appointment. They we able to get me in the next few days and showed up right in the middle of the 2 hour window they gave me. Everything was explained and the work didn't take that long. Both the good things and possible future issues were detailed without any sales pressure. I was very happy with the work and would use them again if future work is needed.

It was great! They came and did a really good job. They came back one time and checked everything. I may have used the service the day I purchased the deal because what happened was it happened to be online just as I was looking for the service because my door wouldn't open. There were additional charges beyond the big deal amount because when he was out he noticed that the rollers on my door were really in bad shape and were probably going to fail. So rather than charge me a service charge he suggested I have them replaced. He had them in his truck so he just replaced them. It was an additional 80. They were really prompt and courteous. I can't think of anything bad about them.

Provider was here on time and preformed the necessary work needed. Was professional and friendly. Would use again.

Technician showed up on time. Polite and efficient, he inspected to doors and communicated results quickly. I decided to chage the spring on one door. Technician changed the spring quickly, and was on his way. Very pleased with the service.

Bought a big deal. Never got a call back. So I called them, two days in a row and left messages. Late on the 2nd day, I gave up as I needed some work done and I found another provider. I asked for a refund through Angie's List. I went with A Better Garage Door and they ended up installing a new system for me.

I have a wooden garage door and a not so secure opener machine that shakes, he let me know it needed to be correctly mounted so it does not shake for $45... I will try to fix it first. My garage door was not opening is the reason I had them come out, he turned up the power on the lift and lubricated the springs. The invoice says he did a tune-up in conjunction with the specifics he did to fix my problem. About 10 minutes worth of work for $65.

He was professional, courteous, and knowledgable. He showed up on time. I had no stress with this experience and felt I got a great deal, but would hire him without the deal for any future work.
