Johnson Garage Doors

They were very good. I have no complaints at all. I would recommend them. They were very helpful. They were very responsive and showed up on time. He was a nice guy.

When owner finally contacted me days later after I left a few messages, he seemed perturbed that I wanted a call back so soon...He was obviously overwhelmed or too busy to handle the Angies List calls or something...not sure. He subcontracted a gentleman to come out - this guy was very nice and knowledgeable. We were interested in new garage doors, he said he would pass the message on to the owner and that the owner would be contacting us - never did. Unfortunate...

I purchased the Advance Services deal for a garage door tune-up and check. My door had been making some odd noises so I was concerned I was up for a new door. But Johnson Garage Doors came out and serviced the door and also slowed down the opening & closing and it is nearly silent now! (I wish I could remember the owners name) but he was very friendly and professional and told me up front what he would do and check. Then reviewed it all with me after it was done. I would call them back in a heartbeat.

When I called to schedule the appointment for installation, Nate answered my call immediately and was able to schedule service for the next day. I was given an arrival window of 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. and Nate called promptly at noon to let me know he was on the way. Nate arrived on time and installed the new garage door opener, wireless keypad and new opener control panel as well as inspect the garage door, rails, rollers and springs to ensure all was working properly. The entire job was completed in about 3 hours. I was well pleased with Nate's efficiency and professionalism!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. He did a good job. I was not here, my husband was here but he said he was a good guy, he did the work, did a great job, and we would use him again. We didn't pay anything extra.

Everything was fine. There was a problem with the installation of the opener, and they came back out right away to fix it.

The service they provided was great. He was on time from when he said he would be there, he called beforehand, he did his work, he gave us suggestions and he was very customer oriented. It was a good experience. I thought the price was very reasonable.

Two weeks after installation the screws connecting the arm to the door blew out completely and abruptly while raising. The door crashed to the ground as a result. JGD resolved the failure and responded with genuine concern as this is a fairly dangerous scenario, but the event was of significant concern and was quite unsettling.

They never called to set up an appointment. |I had to chase them down.

Garage door tune up was performed. It went fine and I recommend this company.

They were awesome. They were supposed to do just a safety check and assessment on the garage door. However, I had caught the door on my car and it had kind of gotten off the track and the fixed that for no extra charge. They were responsive and they came out the day we called.

Garage door tuneup. Replaced rollers as a result. Provided an estimate for the additional services and performed the work at the estimate.

I emailed the provider right away to arrange a date of service. Didn't hear back from them. I went thru the Angie's List website and looked for a response almost everyday for a week. No response. I went thru the process again. Again there was no response. I emailed outside of Angie's List a couple more times. Still no response. Finally, I contacted Angie's assistance and got Jake who suggested contacting the Big Deal team who said they would also try to contact the provider on my behalf. I let that process happen for 2 more weeks. Now it's been well over a month since I requested the service and still no response. I emailed Angie's list and recvd an email with the link for a refund. I guess we'll see what happens with that. It's just $45 but the time and inconvenience of having to run down the service provider and my garage door still needs attending and I'm not sure if I can trust anybody .

Nate was prompt, professional, and friendly. I just bought my home and the previous owner must have backed into the g door which was causing my close problems. Nate offered to attempt to re-bend the panels without even bringing up replacement, He was successful and saved me a significant cost. He provided a heavy lube while offering to upgrade the wheels. Although the lube made big difference, I opted to go with the wheel upgrade at a very fair cost. The new nylon rollers have further steadied the open/close process and made the movement even quieter. I would recommend Nate at Johnson to anyone for excellent service at a fair price.

My initial complaint stems from I never heard from Johnson to schedule the service. The Angie's List offer indicated Johnson would call to schedule service but after a couple days of no contact I called and left a message. I ended up leaving 3-4 messages over a two week period and they never called back. Finally they answered my fifth call, we scheduled the service a couple days later, and they came and replace the opener. The other complaint I have is they removed the sticker of the previous garage service company I used and placed a sticker advertising their service instead, not very professional. I talked to the technician about their lack of response and he said that they don't make much money on the customers with the Angie offer and as a result they focus on non-Angie offer customers first, usually with same day service. While I have no issue with the finish product, the process I had to go through to get there was not desirable, which may be a result of the arrangement Angie's List has with the service company.

Scheduled next day service and set time in two hour window. Called prior to appt. time and said was delayed. Showed up at new time and had all needed items. Replaced opener, made adjustments and adjusted springs in a little over an hour. Was direct replacement of my faulty 21 year old opener. New opener ( Liftmaster) works perfectly and is much quieter. Would use this provider again. Nate was pleasant and responsive.

This clean young man was very friendly but professional, knowledgeable. Explained that he did service and noticed the wheels were wearing. I chose to have him do it even tho he said it wasn't urgent. The door is quieter now. He showed me the wrong size springs that had been installed. The last company that worked with the door replaced the springs but I didn't know they were not the correct size. Thank heaven for Angies list. I will use Johnson Garage doors for all my garage door needs from now on and will recommend them to my friends. I also need to mention that he was prompt and called when he was on the way.

I will use them in the future as needed because they were prompt, informative and professional.

It didn't but, as I understand it, they have my money. Perhaps someone at Angie's list can give me a call soonest.

Nate (owner of Johnson Garage Doors) arrived early, was courteous, and willing to answer all questions regarding the service he was about to furnish. He worked quickly and had the job completed in an hour. Very focused on keeping worksite clean of debris and any other material generated during replacement of rollers. Will definitely use Johnson Garage Doors again if problems arise in the future. The door now operates more quietly than in the past. The visit was free and they came the day I called which was very much appreciated. The young man who came was very helpful and explained all that we needed to have explained. Overall we were very pleased with this company.
