Dryer Vent Doctor

Mike was going to be a little late so he called and arrived when he said he would. I felt comfortable with the job he performed and the dryer has been more efficient since then.

Mike was very professional throughout the process. He gave me a quote over the phone to replace the dryer vent based on how we thought our dryer vent was set up (short run straight up @ 8 feet and out the wall). We suspected that there was a clog due to the dryer running excessively, and wanted to replace it because it was the old vinyl hose which is no longer used. Unlike most service companies he gave a specific time to come out rather than a huge window. He was running a couple minutes late but called to let me know. I never would have dinged him for a couple minutes given that he did not give the usual several hour window, but it was really nice that he called to let me know. When he arrived, he worked very efficiently. It turned out the line did not go straight up and out as we had thought. Once in the ceiling, they ran it 3 feet to the right, ducking under a joist and around a water line which contributed to why our line was completely packed with lint. We had to cut a strip in the ceiling so the line would run straight rather than under/around obstacles. Mike got it all done quickly, and despite the additional complexity, he still charged the quoted price. He offered some suggestions on how we could help make the line less conspicuous. The wife and I celebrated later that day when for the first time in years, a load of laundry was completely dry after a single cycle. If your dryer isn't performing, do yourself a favor and have Mike come clean your line...not only will your dryer work more efficiently, but you will eliminate a very dangerous fire hazard. Only sad part is Mike did such a great job improving our set up, it will be a while before we need his services again.

My calls were promptly returned. I moved into a 30 yr old house and it was clear that the dryer vents had not been cleaned in years. There was lint build up on the door of the dryer and a cycle took forever. Mike came, pulled out all of the equipment, removed wads and wads of stuck lint, straightener out my vent ducting and was as clean and professional as it gets. I would definitely recommend him!

This is a rental and the dryer vent was probably never cleaned out. It is on the first floor and the vent goes up to the roof. He said that the vent is in a z which really collects the lint. May have to do this once a year or so. He was thorough and our rental is very pleased. There is another condo upstairs.

Extremely Well. We had hired another company in August to come clean our dryer vent because our dryer wasn't working and we were told our vents were clogged. That company came out and claimed they cleaned the vents but they didn't. Mike came out told us the vent was completely blocked, plus there was built up lint in the dryer and could have caught fire at any time. Very scary. Mike was so thorough, so professional, and explained to us everything he did. Our dryer now works like a dream and I can sleep comfortably knowing our house will not catch on fire do to dryer lint. Mike went into our crawl space and cut a hole through the brick to get it vented to the outside. He showed up on time and was efficient. He was pleasant and very professional. We had him out earlier in the year to clean the dryer vent also. He is one of the best contractor experiences we have had.

My rather elderly dryer - part of a unitized stacking set - had been taking longer and longer to dry a load of clothes. A lot of moisture was being discharged into our laundry closet instead of out the vent, which made me think the vent was plugged up with lint. I called and got an appointment in just a few days. He was here and done cleaning it out within about an hour. The difference in how well my dryer works is nothing short of miraculous. I shouldn't have let it go as long as I did, and will call him again as soon as I notice there's a loss of efficiency. He was courteous and efficient and while he could have told me how dumb I was to have let things go as long as I did, very kindly refrained.

The service professional arrived about three minutes before the appointed time and did an inspection. He then checked dry outlet on the exterior and the frame to confirm there was no other blockage. He set his equipment and began work. and completed the job within about forty minutes.

Made appointment on Wednesday and Mike was at my house promptyly on Friday on agreed time window. Total work was about an hour. He cleaned duct and replaced wall outlet no charge as it was slightly crimped.

We have a tenant who complained that the dryer wasn't getting her clothes dry. We hadn't had the dryer very long so I suspected that the problem could be the dryer vent. We've only had the rental for a few years and didn't know if the vent had ever been cleaned. I called Dryer Vent Doctor. He met me at the unit. After he figured out which vent went to our unit he emptied 8-10 gallons of lint from the vent. The dryer has worked great since then. I had also told him when I set up this appointment that I would like him to check our dryer vent at our house since we live close to the rental He followed me to our house and checked our vent. He said there was no build up of lint so nothing would need to be done by him. He did not charge me for the trip to our house or his time there. He was very polite and professional; responded to my call quickly and was very neat throughout the process and made sure everything was cleaned up from cleaning the rental dryer vent. Mike came out and looked over everything with regards to my dryer. It was vented from our house into our shed! This was done by the previous owners of our house, nuts! Mike cleaned out the vent, which was so compacted with lint that it's amazing it never caught fire. He didn't have parts with him to actually fix the vent location problem that day, so we made an appointment for Mike to come back and move the vent so that it was venting outside instead of into a shed. He came back, fixed the problem, and things are just peachy now. I recommend the Dryer Vent Doctor and will definitely use him again!

After finding a 'blue ribbon' recommendation on DRYER VENT DOCTOR, I callled the listed phone numer. After reaching Mike, we established a day/time for him to do the work. On the day of the appointment, he called when he was running somewhat late which I greatly appreciated. He arrived and did the work efficiently and professionally. Our clothes requires at least 10 minutes less drying time since Mike was here. Mike is professional and just a nice person. I would recommend highly DRYER VENT DOCTOR!!!

Outstanding! On time! Quick!

Mike arrived in time for an 11:00am appointment and did not have to call at the last minute for directions. Time to perform dryer vent cleaning including setup, packup and submit bill and receive a check from me = about 40 minutes. Mike does not work in a hurry but knows exactly what he needs to do so no time is wasted. He hooked up a large shop vac to the dryer vent inside the house and then went on the roof, removed the dryer vent cap and brushed full length of the ducting so that any lint, etc would be sucked out by the vacuum. Then reattached the vent cap and came back inside and cut the flexible vent material to proper length so that excessive folds in the flex duct do not trap lint. He was also able to slide out the dryer far enough to climb in back of it to hook up his vacuum connection. The dryer is installed in a small closet with bifold doors and I assumed he would have to remove one door to get access, but that was not necessary. He removed the dryer lint filter and cleaned out the inside of the dryer exhaust area with a special brush and the shop vacuum. Prior to the vent cleaning, the dryer ran EXTREMELY hot to the touch on the outside of the dryer when using the normal heat setting and I had to use the delicate heat setting to bring the temperature down enough to use the dryer. It had been running so hot on the regular heat setting, I though it might be a fire hazard. After cleaning and then running the dryer 10 minutes on high heat, the dryer was hot inside but barely warm on the outside - exactly the desired end result. I moved in a few months ago and the previous owner never had the duct cleaned. So it had not never been done in 12 years. Mike specializes in dryer vent cleaning, installation and repair.
